My New WOL-Fit4me&kids

Hi all. I've been following Atkins since April 2006 after I stopped bf my son that was born in November. At my heaviest, I weighed 260 lbs. Now, I weigh 188/189 (depending on what time of day I weigh!!!). I have had a journal for a while now and saw many of my old friends from another place. I thought I'd post here for a bit to check out the atmosphere. I have 3 kids, aged 9, 5, and almost 1 and have been happily married since 1993. I work FT as an accountant/office manager and PT on the side for a few small companies as an organizational consultant. I just started a love affair with my Ab Lounger (LOL!!!) about 2 months ago. I am completely a goofball about being organized and try to get at least 30-45 minutes of exercise in a day. I do exercise in the AM, before the kids are up and in the PM when the kids are asleep.

It's good to see ol' friends here from 'before'. I'm really happy about that.

Hey Cleo, thanks for popping in. Journaling has been very successful for me. Especially during some rough times medically. They found a tumor during my last pregancy and I had that removed. Then, in August I had another one removed. The journal process has helped me stay on track as well as focused on my goal.

I bow down to Cleo that holds her head high. Glad to see ya over here!

You just made me blush. Even my ears are red. {{{Heather}}}

You are absolutely an amazing woman! I didn't know you had been dealing with such a stressful medical issue. And you're still hanging in there with diet and exercise, when some of us collapse into a gravy vat if we missed Dancing with the Stars.

Your dedication is truly awe-inspiring! I know you must be your kids' greatest hero! I know you're one of mine now!

Hey Cleo, I hope you read what I said about you 'elsewhere'. I meant every word. You are an inspiration. I didn't always post in everyone's journals but I always tried to pull a nugget of inspiration from all I read each day.

I gotta figure out how to post my pics. I use my before pic as my "OH MY GAWD I LOOKED LIKE THAT" motivation. I need that slapped in my face. Hopefully, it won't scare others!!!

Cleo, BTW, I wouldn't have dove into a vat of gravy. For me it's peanut butter. I could eat it 24/7/365 right out of the jar on a spoon. I currently follow Atkins KISS to cleanse and it isn't allowed .

I never read what you wrote, but thank you.

Peanut butter is like crack! LOL! I understand! I used to do lines of Peter Pan myself. You can do it! I'll be here to sneeze in your Jiffy if you need the extra help.

Well, you can sneeze in the Jiffy and the Peter Pan. My brand of 'Crack' is Reese's Creamy Peanut Butter. I used to live off of it. A line wouldn't have done much. I was injesting half a jar a day.

Mornin' all. Hey!! It's so cool to see all the people I know. I was scared of starting all over again. It's tough to get attached to so many people and go to them for their expertise and then have to let go. It's also tough because I really enjoyed helping others with my experiences. I had grown attached to so many people and was wondering how to handle it. It's funny to me how motivating it is. It's just a pain in the pe-toot-y to build the reputation again. Oh well. What can ya do?

Bossman is still in Costa Rica playing golf. Things are always crazy the first few days he leaves and now I've got things running like a well oiled machine. Oh, I always have the few employees that think, while the cat's away, the mice will play, but they know not to push me too far.

My 5 year old has her first sleepover birthday party tonight. She's really excited. We had to go get the b-day gifts and we also got her a new pair of jammies. We'll see how it goes.

Exercise is ok. Food is ok. I need to pump the water today.

Morning Heather!

I'm sure you can keep those guys in line (where's my whip emoticon?)...darn it!

Why the heck are you not in Costa Rica, huh? That sounds tropical and lovely!

Oh a sleep over, fun!

Sheshy! Morning! I love the whip and the blazin' guns emoticon. I will miss those two!

As for Costa Rica, the bossman went with the guys. Several of our contractors went...no ladies allowed!! Hmmm, sounds like a beer and golf trip don't ya think? That's what it is!

So, my 'vacation' is the fact that most of the people I deal with on a regular basis are out of the country!!! How sweet is that?

fit4me-- I can relate to all you've said! The VERY nice thing is that this is such a huge board with a lot of friendly people, so coming is in incredibly easy! I know I've been very graciously welcomed here with my first posts, and I have felt at home here, due to the many outstanding posters who also have made this their home.

LOL on 'your' vacation! I'll bet the place is all yours now! YEAH! I'd put on your tiara and enjoy life! For now, you're the queen of the castle!!!

Well, we live in MD near the PA line. We have a 250 acre dairy farm. I was not a farm girl growing up. I lived in town and just met the man of my dreams, who happens to look extremely hot on a John Deere tractor. We have steers as well. My two older kids are active in 4H and show lambs and pigs and possibly, this year, a steer for my son. My 9 year old son is active in baseball, swimming, fourwheeling, and hunting with dad. My 5 year old daughter loves her fourwheeler, swimming, and baseball too! Our littlest is almost 1. He's a hoot. Always smiling. He looks like the Quiznos baby so we call him Smilin' Bob.

It's a nice life for the kids. I didn't get to do all these outside activites on a farm growing up. They have to feed their animals, get to jump/climb in the hay and straw, see baby cows born, ride on tractors, and just be kids.

I love being a mom and try to do the best I can. We do a lot of family fun stuff. My inlaws live right near us and hubby has 3 sisters with their families nearby. My parents live about 8 minutes away as does my brother and his family. We both have a large extended family with grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and it seems our house is "THE" place to be. It's fun.

Hubby is a mechanic and runs the farm as well. I work FT and have a PT side thing going on, so it's a lot of coordinating!

You'd think with all I do, the freakin' weight would melt off!

Thanks guys. Life isn't all peaches and cream, but we try. It's tough sometimes. We've been together since I was 19. I'm in it for the long haul and so is he. It's a fun rollercoaster ride, IF ya like rollercoaster!!! Thankfully, I DO!!

Well, gotta get some work done here! Things always bust loose around lunch!

Wow! That sounds so interesting! Was it hard to adapt at first?

We have several of the Storey books (farming, animals, etc.)

Matt worked with a guy that told him some scary stories about the cows/bulls...do you ever have any problems with them being aggressive?

Any crazy farm stories to tell? Oddities?

Wow! I don't know how women find time to take care of the kiddies when they work FT. I don't have children and there still doesn't seem to be enough time in the day. I don't know how you handle it!!!

Thanks for sharing a part of your life with us!
