Linda's Journal

2006 is my year to become who I really am. I really did great until summer but then started cheating every other month. I don't understand why I started to slip but I've been very careful not to gain during these times. Instead, I'll lose 5 to 8lbs one month and then maintain the next. My goal was to lose the 100lbs of unhealthy fat in 2006 and avoid diabetes and all the other ailments that come with it. And then to maintain this healthy weight for the rest of my life. I've exercised 4-6 days per week since January and I feel really good about that. I promise myself today that I will not cheat anymore in 2006. Starting today!

coffee 1 splenda 1 T. cream
3 scrambled eggs cooked w\oo and parmesan cheese

Thanks TXLoser!

Well I finally built up the nerve to weigh myself to see the damage of my last binge... I weigh only 182. Only 2lbs. That was close.

1 SMALL PORK CHOP
1/2C. STIR FRY VEGIES

2 FRIED CHICKEN LEGS (skin and batter removed)

2 fried chicken thighs (same as above)
1 jalepeno pepper
1oz. sharp cheddar

2 coffee 2T. cream 2 splenda

I guess I should wait and put my menu together first before writing it so it will be all together.
Didn't eat alot of vegies today to get into ketosis a little better so I wont have cravings. Will slowly add them as I feel appetite depleting.

Woke up tired and starving! I believe my body has finally used up the stored glycogen and is having to switch back over to ketones for fuel. This is the hard part. The part that makes me wish I hadn't cheated. No energy, as my body wants carbs. I will not bend. Ketosis is near and my goal is again in sight. I will press onward, not looking back, but forward to my prize. I will. Can't is no longer in my vocabulary. This is who I am. This is what I do. It's a habit now. I need to get a better understanding about why I binge and come up with a strategy because I love lowcarb food, it just doesn't make sense.

Renee had another seizure today and I'm shaking like a leaf. I'm usually o.k. when she has one in a safe place, but she had it in the kitchen on a hard chair and I could hardly hold her up and she kept sliding down. So much trauma! Now if I just pull myself together and workout I can burn off some of this stress and I'll be o.k. All in a days work, I guess.
