Chrissy's Journal

Obviously I need to have somewhere to come to and report my progresss since I've determined I've gained back too much weight and need to get my butt in gear. I would like to be back at my lowest by Halloween. I haven't gained a ton back, but it feels that way to me. And I'm disgusted and mad. I have concluded that I almost need to be disgusted, mad, and angry in order to get my self back on track. I have come too far to ever go back to the old me. I hope to post several times a day in my journal to keep me accountable. If anything, I'll post at least once a day.

Today so far

Breakfast - 3 slices bacon, 20oz. water, 20oz. decaf cream and splenda, and I'm working on water until lunch time.

I know exactly what you mean. Slowly but surely, I started to gain back the weight that I lost. I started and re-started too many times to count, usually not lasting a full day on plan!! I started my journal here last Thursday, after watching the biggest loser, and the journal really is keeping me honest. I am definitely going to make goal this time and so are you! I will be checking in on you daily!!! Stay strong!

I feel icky today. Headache, tired, out of energy. I won't complain, I guess that's a good thing.

I think it's tuna for lunch when I head home.

Steak again for dinner I think.

It was actually nada for dinner. Wasn't hungry. Felt really tired too.

Today bacon and eggs for breakfast. I'm working on a 20oz coffee cream and splenda. I might skip lunch and only eat dinner.

I can tell I've lost a few pounds but I'm not getting on the scale til Monday

I hate weekends too!!! I have the low-carb drink thing down. But then I want late night pizza and it all goes down hill from there
I am bound and determined now though since finding a picture of myself when I lost a lot of weight 2003-2004. I looked so skinny!!!! then I gained it all back.. boooo... But I hung the picture up as a constant reminder that I can do it and I need to do it...

You can do it. So can I, I'm just not focused right now. Sucks.

But I did good yesterday, totally on plan, had only five carbs the whole day.

This am - some sausage with cheese melted on top, coffee, water.

Today should be good. Down 2lbs from yesterday.

awesome. I hid my scale so I am going to try and stay away from it. They had a catered lunch for us yesterday of Cheesesteaks/Chicken Cheesesteaks and Soft Pretzels.

I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the cheesesteaks for a catered lunch. After living near Pittsburgh and Baltimore, I am a bit jaded and untrusting of what other people consider quality cheesesteak. But then I realized I am in Philly now and people do NOT mess around with their cheesesteaks!! haha

P.S. I didn't eat the bread or the pretzel. the meat was quite yummy with foodservice cheesewiz, peppers and onions

L - tuna salad (2HB eggs/lil mayo/ 1 can tuna)

D - crab cake

I'm down 32 ozs ... looking at the next 32.....

Chrissyyyyyyy

I'm wondering if its better to keep the fat very low when doing the meat and eggs woe. The last couple of days I've had fat and I've lost (down to 318) but I don't know if that's best. I know eating lower fat will mean that I will have to force myself to eat more. I don't seem to have an appetite so I'm getting the calories from the fat... well thats what I'm thinking anyways.. I've been working out twice a day (WATP 2 mile each time) so I know I need the calories.

Any thoughts???

Down another two today woo hoo.

Cee, M/E is different from Kimmer's experiment although they are similar. M/E includes fat (all meats basically)....K/E has extreme minimal use of fat (lean meats, fish, etc). I've had the same success with both actually....I lose great on M/E and great on K/E......If you aren't hungry at all....then I'd minimize the fat. But don't beat yourself up if you use mayo here and there for your tuna ya know what I mean?
