Hello all! I decided to take my first stab at doing a weight loss journal. A little bit of background... I weighed about 211 when I graduated from college in May 2003. I started Atkins and got down to about 160 a year later (mostly atkins but not strict). Then, I got a new job and then was in a car accident. Everything from there is a blur. Now I am sitting here at 210 pounds yet again and feeling absolutely horrible about myself every day. It is difficult for me to even look into the mirror most days. For the past 2 years, I would start the diet on a monday, then fail by the end of the day or the end of the week. However, this is all going to change starting NOW!!!! I want to have the confidence to date again and to go towards job promotions, etc etc.

I am going to follow a low carb plan. It is basically going to follow Atkins. This is how I lost before and this is how I am going to lose again...

Goals-

Mini Goal #1 190 pounds (treat myself to a new outfit)
Mini Goal #2 175 pounds (get my hair cut and styled)
Mini Goal #3 160 pounds (by myself another new outfit)
Mini Goal #4 140 pounds (get my nails done)
Final Goal 130 pounds (do something fabulous to be determined later)


My Keys to success:

No Cheats
Limit Diet Sodas
Drink Lots of water
Stay on track
Post in my journal
Excercise often
Limited weigh-ins (once or twice per week)
Pack my lunch for work daily
Cook at home as often as possible (do not eat out as much)

Ok well thats it. I'd like to be skinny, confident, and most importantly happy with myself by next summer.

I am currently in training for my new job. Our cafeteria has some healthy choices but mostly unhealthy. Plus the long lines for the healthy stuff often prompts me to just grab something quick.

To solve this problem, I have made a pledge to pack my lunch each day. This should be cheaper on me also.

Today for lunch I had:
light string cheese
tossed salad w/ a little SB diet Italian dressing
Sugarfree pudding snack.

will post again after I eat dinner.

I plan on walking at the park tonight also
