My journey--good or bad (but mostly good)

Tues. Aug. 29, 2006: I started back on Induction yesterday after cheating this weekend. I had lost 4 lbs. last week, but gained back two. I also felt miserable on Sat. night with terrible heartburn and woke up feeling a little like I had a hangover. Why would I subject myself to this? I am certainly making my self stick it out this time. My main goal was to lose weight for a cruise in Jan., but have now found two other time frames. 1. We are going to the beach in Oct. for my sons' Fall Break 2. I am turning 30 (or 20 10 as I like to say) in December. Of course these are just for time reference, not the main reasons I want and need to lose weight. I am also determined to become a better mother and person overall. I think everyone can improve themselves. Have been reading a little bit off Dr. Phil's website on being good to yourself and building a better family. Haven't started an exercise program yet, am stalled after falling on a huge liquid mess at Target yesterday (not only hurt, but very embarassing). My knees are very bruised, so I should probably let them heal first. It is finally breaking 100 degrees here, so will probably start bike riding with the boys. I will try to keep up this journal this time around, I think it will definitely help me.

Thurs. Aug. 31: Didn't get a chance to write yesterday, but am still doing good. Haven't cheated yet despite going to lunch with Mom yesterday. I had a salad-yea me! Am down 5 lbs total (3 this week after the cheating on Sat. & Sun. and gaining two back). I am so excited I am going to follow through this time, I know it. I have a much different attitude about it for some reason. I have also found another way of staying on track. I cut out pics of outfits I would love to wear and look at them when I feel like cheating. Excellent motivation. I have also decided to keep on Induction for a while after the two weeks and just have one day a month that I eat extra carbs. So far I already have those days planned (Sept.-Fair, Oct.-Halloween, Nov. Thanksgiving, Dec. Christmas). This all may change depended on my success and how hard it is to stay on 20 a day.
231/226/165 goal, 145 dream, 135 fantasy....or is it?
