Starting fresh.
Okay I think keeping a journal will help me so here goes.
If anyone is reading this than I'll give you a background of my history. I'm Lil... I was very active on this site about 5 years ago so some people may remember me, it was before it switched to vbulletin even. I lost 92 lbs for my wedding, but my motivation was my bloodsugars which went from averaging in the 400s to running normal. THe best I ever felt was on Atkins. So here I am 5 years later... in 5 years, I had 2 kids, and have spent the last 4 either pregnant, nursing, both (or even nursing 2 for a while) so now I'm down to nursing one child and realized I'm back at my highest weight. Also DH and I became vegetarians. The vegetarian aspect didn't work for me, even vegetarian low carb didn't help me lose weight... I realize now the only way I can lose weight is Atinks. So here I am today is day 1... so far its been a good day. I usually don't struggle after the first few days I'm trying to get to that level. I'm going to add exercise to my routine as well but may wait a week and focus on the diet portion only. So thats it for me... I'm making it a goal to update in here atleast once a day!

So I got through day 1 really easily. DH surprised me with dinner at OUtback, so it was really nice. I was a vegetarian for the last 2 and 1/2 years and money is really tight so this was a great treat for me... I forgot how much I liked a good steak.
So yesterday's meals included B: none, it was a hectic morning L: 2 burger patties with cheese, lettuce, tomotoe and mustard Chicken caeser salad. D: Wings, ribeye steak and salad. It was a good day for me. I really do well with Atkins and the best part of being on Atkins for me personally is that I like seeing the early loss thats really big. I'm sure I'm doing well with it. I lost 9.5 lbs overnight. Its obviously all water weight but you need to get rid of that first. I'm already less tired and have more energies. My sugars are comming down but still high but hey its only been one day. |

So day 2 yesterday. It was okay... a bit harder than the first day. I found myself starving in the afternoon... as always I didn't really plan ahead and didn't have anything with me to eat. I did cave and got peanuts which I know is still low carb, but I had a goal of veggies only for my carbs on induction. My induction headache seems to be going away today too which is good. My scale is broken, I stepped on it several times and got weights anywhere from 280 to 335. Yesterday I was 304
so I don't know what to think, I'll try not to obsess over the scale for now.SO my meals yesterday were. B: 2 Eggs L: Chef salad w/blue cheese dressing Burger patties w/pepperjack cheese. S: Peanuts and diet coke. D: Steak strips with lettuce tomotoes and cheese. |
