Sticking to it!

I am finally ready to commit to Atkins.

I've read every book, used fitday religiously, and even taken nutrition courses and been reading this bulletin board for nearly 3 years. But I have never been able to go more than a week without cheating. I am also terrified of posting because I am very shy, so I'm glad I've found this journal forum.

When I first started in my senior year of high school about 3 years ago, I did great on induction for a week and lost over 10 pounds and eventually got down to 141!

Then I went to college...and gained the freshman 25 by eating all the typical college food because we were forced to have meal plans in the dorms.

I did atkins off and on my sophomore year but then, for some stupid reason, gave up again, even though I ALWAYS feel better eating this way.

So starting today, I am committed to losing 20ish pounds and getting back down to 140. That may seem like a lot for being only 5'3", but I felt good at that weight and even now at 160ish I wear 10's. I walk A LOT being without a car at a large university and love my water. I will post my menus here daily.

I'm starting a new job today and will be graduating from college and getting married in May.

It's time to stick with Atkins and feel good about my body and my eating habits again. I want to stay with this for life and am proud that I started at 18, but the yoyo-ing needs to stop today! I have a fridge full of all the right foods and this time, I am ready.

B: hard-boiled egg (moving day, ugh)
L: 2 cups of spinach w/mushrooms cooked in olive oil, egg
D:Either a 5oz chicken breast or a hamburger patty w/cheese
