Sheryl's Issues.... I have many

I have been reading some of the journals here and have decided it might be a good idea to follow my progress and track how I feel each day. So here goes.
The hubby and I started l/c a couple of weeks ago. We have done pretty well so far and we are determined to make this a lifestyle change. We are preparing for a trip to Las Vegas in July and we will be supporting each other at the buffets

I have been struggling with the water intake…..so the last couple of days I have made an effort to drink what seems like an enormous amount of water. I have cut my coffee intake down drastically and have only 1 diet soda a day (if that). I am hoping that this isn’t the reason I feel bloated and puffy.

Today for meals I had

B 2 eggs with shredded cheese 3 strips of bacon
Water
1 cup of coffee

L Steak stir-fry over broccoli
More water

S SF pudding

D We took the kids to Hooters and I had
Garden salad with Ranch
8 hot chicken wings
No beer this time….just friggen water

I drank around 100 oz of water today and I feel like I could float away….except I always seem to be in a stall. Might as well get me another 20 going….

Well considering dinner could have been a disaster, I feel pretty good about how my day went today…..I only hope I wake up tomorrow feeling a little less bloated.

UGGGH
I am still struggling with the water..... Maybe it's in my head but I'm feeling heavier. I keep thinking if I'm drinking 3 lbs of water will that 3 lbs ever go away. I truly felt better when I wasn't force feeding myself all of this liquid.
I did finish off the last 20 last night. And had a sf fudgcicle for a snack.
Oh well gotta start the day.

I have been reflecting on my loss so far. I think in my head I am feeling I was showing a nice loss in 2 weeks and when I started drinking the water that stopped. I'm telling myself I lost a lot of water weight at the beginning and now that I am hydrating my body is adjusting. I have never been a big water drinker, some days none. I mostly drank coffee, tea and diet soda. So I am going to allow my body time to adjust. I couldn't completely give up my green tea at work so I am having a couple of cups of hot green tea every day, but I did make it decaf. I am determined to make this work and if my body must adjust itself to accept the flood of water so be it.
I am going to start out on my treadmill tonight when I finish here. I think that will help me also. Walking the dog just can't be concidered exercise!!!!

I haven't strayed from the plan. And I have quite a few accomplishments. My boss brings candy in to the office at month end...this month I didn't stop at that bowl once !!!! So I have been able to resist the temptation of the Heath Bar!!! He brought in coffee cake....didn't sway me. And the hub and I are going to a nice italian restaurant for our supper club and I checked the menu and have already chosen my low carb alternatives.

So much for now....heading to the treadmill

So all in all it is going well.

So supper club went well.
Had a 12 oz delmonico steak with mushrooms/onions...ate about half
Veggie medly Salad with blue cheese
3 lite beers

Came home and had a piece of the lemon fluff pie for a treat.

Not going to make it to the treadmill tonight after the few beers I would more than likely end up in the hospital.

So thats it for today...all in all a pretty good day!!!!

Well I think my body has finally told me what it wants for water..... I need at least 60oz but not more than 80 oz. Only got up twice last night and I don't feel bloated, I feel good this morning. Just made myself a cup of hot tea.
I'm planning on having for breakfast
2 eggs overhard
3 strips of bacon.

Having lunch with my friend so I gotta get busy!

I have my shopping list ready, need to hit the grocery on the way home. I have 4 lc recipes I want to try....gotta keep it new!!!
This week I'm making Parmasen crusted chicken, Stuffed peppers, a lc alfredo, and I'm gonna try the whitecastle hamburger pie again, but this time try and cut the sodium a little and make a larger version.

BUSY BUSY

Hi Sheryl!

Don't want you to feel lonely. Your menu looks great. I wish I had a treadmill but I am going to go swimming more! I have a pool and have sh kipped it for a week too busy! Dh is running for office. Sigh. At least I haven't eaten the gargae that is everywhere I go. I also have a press pass and you would not believe the amount of stuff we get shoved at us to eat. I am sticking to water , thank you! Best of luck to you!

Saracat and Mork, thanks for stopping by.

Well today was weigh in.....gained 1.5 lbs but not discouraged...added alot of water my body isn't used to and alot of exercise it hasn't seen in awhile. So I'm sure it's in a state of shock...

Sweetie is cooking me some eggs and sausage to take to work.

Maybe I'll try for a few minutes on the treadmill

Long day at work. But I went on my lunch hour and got a new scale...I've been wanting one that weighs to the .2 lb my old one was .5 lb. It also measures body fat....OMG I did not need to know that!!!!

Anyway
Lunch was leftovers from last night
Stuffed Pepper and ceasar salad.

Good news is I didn't need a snack today at all!!!!

For Dinner I made parmesan crusted chicken with a veggie stir fry and some creamed spinach.
Was very yummy!!!!

I think the high point of my day was when my coworker said she was telling her husband how good I was doing on my "diet"

Walking 30 min 1.3 miles
We are really enjoying our walks. The hubby and I encourage each other, so when one of us really doesn't want to go the other is the voice of reason.

The countdown has begun 8 days til vegas!!!!!!

Weekend is finally here...One more week til vacation!!!!!!!
Started charting my food this morning. Found out that tbs of butter i used to fry my eggs was the first mistake I made. From now on it will be cooking spray instead of butter.
I started a spreadsheet that will track my carb fiber cal fat and protein. I tried fit day last night but some things are hard to figure with it. So i figured I could figure all the info in a receipe myself and divide it by servings. We will see how that goes.

B 2 eggs overhard
2oz sliced beef
Green tea w/splenda

carb 1.4
fiber 0
cal 224
fat 11.1 (never again)
protein 13.6

Chicken ceasar salad

carb 11.8
fiber 2.4
cal 484
fat 43.5
prot 13.9

I haven't done all that well cutting down the fat today. I am heading to the bookstore tonight because I am becoming confused about fat being good or bad. I thought if I could cut out some of the fat it would be better for my diet. But then I read about fat fast and other things and wonder if the fat has a lot to do with it or not????
