Weighed in at 146.5 this morning, so I am now back to where I was a week ago Monday. Maybe I still have a chance to hit 145 by next official Monday weigh in.
Still need to do t-tapp for the day............... |

I never got around to tapping yesterday. I had to do some errands. That is what I get for procrastinating, I guess.
But I did it today, Hoedowns too! And am now sipping my post workout protein shake. Nothing interesting to say right now. Guess I'll browse the boards quickly and then go do some laundry. |

What, you didn't appreciate my multiple post--celebrating my success?
Actually, the thing wouldn't process when I hit the submit button, so I kept doing it, thinking .....I don't know what. It turned out I just needed to defragment, but didn't think to check until I had tried to post 5 or 6 times. But, I'm all better, now. Did you enjoy your holiday? |

So, t-tapp in, plus 2 extra sets of hoedowns.
I did an experiment with hoedowns this morning, after eating breakfast. I tested my blood sugar at 121 just before, and after 2 sets of hoedowns, it tested 104. Apparently, that move does burn up excess blood sugar quickly. Before I did it, I was feeling kind of sleepy and sluggish, too--but after, I felt energized. I plan to test again so I can keep track of this. It would be wonderful if this exercise really does help control blood sugar levels. |

Weekend was okay. Due to my husband working a job which often requires him to at least be 'on call' for weekends and holidays, they just aren't that big of a deal to me anymore. He was working Sat and Sun, but had Monday off. It was a nice break for him, and I like to see him. But we didn't do anything spectacular.
Yes, Hoedowns are a t-tapp exercise. In her seminar, Teresa Tapp talked about how that particular move can be very helpful for diabetics in controlling rising blood sugar. It is basically a very intense, specifically done aerobic-type set of leg lifts. I was curious about the claim, so I gave it a try. And I did get a lower reading after the exercise than I did before. I felt better, too. I don't know if that was due to having the excess glucose burn up, or just the blood being oxygenated (or both). Good to know for when I decide I want to eat oatmeal or fruit or something else high in carbs. |

Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. This is what the ancients were commended for. By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God's command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible . Hebrews 11:1-3 Faith. Believing in God's ability and love, even when I don't have immediate "proof". Trusting, waiting and obeying --not because I have it all figured out--or because I fear punishment for asking questions, but because He says so and I believe He only allows me to experience circumstances that are good for me and ultimately glorify Himself. Not an easy thing, sometimes. But a necessary component of the Christian walk... . I believe, Lord. Help me rest in Your strength and love. Help me to obey even when I don't totally understand "why". ![]() |

Hmmm. The past 3 days I did instructional #2. But today I only did BWO+, OIP/HF, and 15 minutes light elliptical. I really missed doing #2. I can't believe I actually feel sorry (as opposed to guilty) to have missed my workout. Probably I will take tomorrow off, because it is errand day and I will be running from about 9am till dinner. Friday is the day for my twice yearly haircut, too. That should be fun.
If I wake up early, I might get in BWO+, though. Weather is turning chilly. I can feel the change in the wind. No more soft warm breezes. Definitely feels like fall out here in the sticks. DH noticed snow on the highest mt peak this morning, but it was gone by afternoon. I don't know if I am ready for fall yet. I like the change of season, but I don't like forever winter. Short days depress me and I just want to hibernate for about 4 months . |

Well, yesterday, I got in 3 sets of hoedowns. They were very energizing, but since I have not slept well the past two nights, I feel really run down today.
I also am embarrassed to admit I ate a whole bag of SF chocolate covered caramel balls yesterday. The package said it had 2.5 servings in it and I ate all of it. Was up all night running to the bathroom. Serves me right, I guess. Still trying to figure out why I did it. It wasn't a craving or TOM. I just saw them while I was shopping and bought them. By the time I got home I was hungry and instead of fixing eggs or something I dove into the bag. That is proably my answer. Poor planning. Ah well, live and learn. I did PBS, this morning, and might try to get in at least one set of hoedowns and maybe OIP/HF. Just don't feel up to a full workout, though. Maybe what I really need is a nap. Sunday will be a planned day off, and I will plan to get back on track Monday. |

I guess I haven't seen that post. I can't believe anyone who has actually seen your progress would make a remark like that. Maybe it was just a thoughtless statement? True, you are not at 'goal,' but very few of us are. I expect your intended is pleased with your progress, at any rate. Personally, I would not have the guts to post such revealing pics of myself at anything less than 'perfect', and I admire you for your honesty in that. Clothes can hide a lot of flaws. I won't pressure you to post pics if you aren't comfortable with it. But I still want you to know I am cheering you on! ![]() |

I'm cheering you on too! You are soooooo close to goal!!! I'm really glad you found and exercise regime that works for you. It's awesome! Exercising really does make a big difference.
I probably won't post the barely there shots (ie bra/panty) until I get closer to goal. I was trying to show the massive difference with 60lbs gone. But I may post some other ones. lol I just need to find the time and a good hair day ![]() |

Thank you, again, Sarah. I am gettng closer to my goal. I had my son take a (clothed) full body picture so I can compare it to my starting size and I can definitely see a difference. It is odd, but in the picture, I seem fatter than I think I look in the mirror.
But I have to trust that it is the accurate account. I am short and short waisted, so I will probably never get that cute cinched in waist that taller/longer waisted people can get. Plus I've had 4 kids and can't afford (or justify) surgery, so I am just left to do the best I can with what I have. Anyway, I think I will try to upload that pic. later to my gallery, so I can have a record of my progress. I think at the rate I am going, I can be happily maintaining by Thanksgiving. Really, I can't complain about any of the process, because I had almost given up hope of ever looking even this good when I started LC back in June. And I am not willing to make more of an effort just to get to a 'size 4'. My life and my worth as a person is more than my appearance and my food and exercise routine. I want them to fit into my lifestyle in proportion. So often I have read posts by people who were discouraged because they weren't losing or werent losing fast enough or they seem to be obsessed with reaching a specific scale number before they are happy. Probably it seems so sad to me because I have been there, and had to realize for myself how destructive the thought patterns can be. Being healthy is a worthwhile goal, but I do have to accept me for who I am right now--even as I attempt to make improvements. The truth is that I may never reach 'goal' even if I give it my very best shot. I had to ask myself where I would be if I didn't make it. Would I be a miserable, sour faced wretch because I couldn't boast that I was 130 pounds and a size 6? I tell ya, I am a rotten person when I have the attitude that I have failed to reach my desired goal in anything. And the pressure I put on myself to perform can really mess me up. I get depressed when I stress out for too long. So my only alternative was to back off and accept whatever happens. And it hasn't killed me. So, the rest of you all have to still put up with me T-Tapp is amazing! I hate to work out, but actually look forward to my exercise time now. And I miss it when I can't do it. I really have that to thank for my shrinkage, I think. Especially my lower abs. But I can measure losses everywhere. Even my hips and thighs, which weren't all that big to start with have gotten tighter and look better! It also has gained me some muscle density, so my scale weight still is pretty high. Actually, I got to report on the t-tapp thread that the jeans I had originally wanted to fit into are now too loose. A couple of days ago a friend said she had noticed I had lost a 'ton' of weight and asked if I was still doing low carb. I told her yes but I was also exercising and she wanted to know what. So I told her, and had to admit that I really believe it is the exercise more than the diet that has helped me so much. I would recommend it to anyone as I am so impressed with my own results so far. Think you can order it from Aussieland? Patiently awaiting your picture update............................................ .. ![]() |

Ooooooookay. T-Tapp instructional #2 done for the day. Drank a quart of water during the workout. Sweating buckets. Gross.
Experimenting with cutting a bit of fat while adding in some carbs. Will see how it goes. Breakfast was scrambled eggs --1 whole and 4 whites cooked in 1 tsp coconut oil. 2T salsa and half a grapefruit. It seems to be sticking with me pretty well. Probably should enter it into fitday to check proportions. I love finding plug and go meals that I don't have to refigure carbs and whatnot every day. |
