Tashi's Journey to Health and Fitness

This past week has been one of my best so far in this almost 4 month journey. Last week I lost 3.5 lbs, lost 1/2 " off both waist and hips, fit into a size 14 pair of levis, reached my 4th mini- goal and joined the 40 lb club. This morning I woke up to another 1 lb gone

In early May I finally opened up my WATP dvd and started doing it 6 days/wk w/my boys and I'm up to the 2 mile walk and feeling no pain (when I started LCing on 2/7 I couldn't stand or walk more than 5 min. w/out wanting to cry from the back pain). I have the 10 in 10 Callenetics dvd and am going to begin that as soon as I can figure out a good time of day to do it w/out my little guys getting in the way or interrupting.

My woe is a combo of Atkins and the Glycemic Load Diet. Combining these two is the reason for my suddenly speeded up weight loss.

Woke up this morning to .5 loss

Menu plan for today:

B: scrambled egg w/a little pepper jack cheese and green peppers in it
L: small Cobb salad
D: smoked salmon, a spinach/romaine salad and a sm. slice of cantalope

Exercise for today consisted of:

* 3 mile/49 min. WATP
* very light upper body wt. work out (just easing into this)

Tom is due any day but haven't retained any water this time. Having major cravings but not giving in to them.

My biggest challenge right now is my coffee addiction. I gave up cream in my coffee my 2nd month LCing but I'm drinking way too much...up to 8 20 oz mugs through out the day

I'm excited, down another 1.5 lbs this morning! So close to the 150s!

I haven't decided on what I'm going to eat today. Definitely have to grill up some chicken breasts for salads but don't think I want to eat one today.

Rewards...I'm trying to think up some good rewards for my remaining mini-goals. Money is a big consideration so I need to be creative. The big one for reaching goal is an entire new wardrobe.

My wt. stayed at 161 lb this morning. TOM should be here today or tomorrow I hope.

Here's what my menu yesterday ended up being:

B: hb egg
S: string cheese taken to eat while out
L: salad: spinach, romaine, shredded cabbage, tiny bit grated carrot, canned salmon and ranch
D: LC meatballs w/sauce for all of us, string beans sauted in butter and garlic and rice for the guys

Today's menu plan:

B: hb egg
L: sm. grilled chicken breast and brocolli <sp?> dipped in a little bit of ranch
D: crockpot asian beef (a new recipe I found) and it has broccolli in it. and a sm. green salad

I finally found a good time to do Callanetics w/out interruption (at least most of the time) so I am going to begin that this evening. Sure hope I get the good results I read about over on the challenge thread!

Exercise plan for today:

*2 mile/30 min. WATP w/the boys
*light upper body wt. work out
*1 st hr. of Callenetics (or at least get in some of it while I learn the moves).

Down another .5 lb this morning! I'm really hoping to be out of the 160's by early next week. Once I get to 149 lbs I'll Finally be out of the obese range and I have 4 more inches to get off my waist and I'll be out of the danger zone health wise.

My plan for Callentics time fell through last evening thanks to my pesky 7 yr. old....some bad behavior going on so he lost evening playtime. Going to try for it again this evening. So far this morning I've gotten in some crunches and leg lifts.

Menu plan for today:

B: hb egg
L: 1/2 cup plain yogurt with 1/2 tsp. sf rasp. preserves
D: Chef salad w/grilled chicken strips and ranch

Exercise plan for the day:

*2 mile/30 min. WATP
*more crunches and leg lifts
*1st hr. of Callanetics

Hi there Tasha My menu's are pretty repetative for this level of my plan but it's all food I Really enjoy.

Starting today (a little earlier than planned 'cause of med. increase) I'm cycling back into gl and maintanence mode for 2 or 3 wks. I think my skin needs a chance to recover and I'm going to start the dry brushing stuff. Stick tight to Kiimkins and you'll catch me in no time!

I'm So excited! Dh ordered the T-Tapp Total Workout for me yesterday afternoon. I'm hoping it will get here by the end of next week. I have Callanetics but it's been a nightmare trying to fit it in to my day because the boys don't like it...they exercise w/me daily. Besides the awesome results so many are getting w/T-Tapp I love the fact that it can be effective just doing 15 min. on some days.

Yep, 100% cheat free It's been surprisingly easy for me and I still cook regular meals and treats for the family (they're starting to swipe my food more and more so I may have future converts even though they're all nice and slim). My food weakness has always been things like rice w/gravy or mashed taters w/sour cream so I never make more than what dh and the boys will eat now.
