DOIN' THE HAPPY, HAPPY, HAPPY DANCE.............!!!!!!!
Down another .8 lbs this morning! Body fat measured again, got the same 18.3 at one reading, and two other readings slightly lower, but I'm sticking with 18.3 as the measuring stick. I'll keep charting it in any event for a guideline. Great day yesterday....back to post macs/etc. later....time for precious time with DH on the back porch....HOW I LOVE MORNINGS.... ![]() |

Popping in for a quick hello and I see that you're day is already off to a good start!
Since this officially puts your weightloss on the "fast track" for this week, you might want to go over your calories and macros to see what the adjustments have been. I know that you were concerned over losing too fast, but don't rule out the fact that you may have just overcome a major, long stall. I know you're not going to discount your efforts, but you also don't want to set yourself up to stall again. By going back over the numbers, you should be able to deterine the "magic", if you will. If keeping your fat a little higher, your calories are on target and your hunger is in check, that may be the reason. Your calories DID seem a bit high to me when you started incorporating BFFM principals for someone who was trying to lose those last few lbs., but I also know that you're an exercise "fiend" and so the calorie issue was debateable, especially since you seemed to always be hungry! You've had a great few weeks. Stay the course and you'll win this battle yet. BTW...another 'smokin' avitar. Good grief girl; look at those arms!!!!! Have a great day!

Good day.
With some extra time on my hands today, I got in the kitchen and tweaked the Shanny Pumpkin Cakes recipe to suit my macs....then added one tablespoon of softened lowfat cream cheese, mixed with 1 T sugar-free maple syrup....poured/smeared this on top....OMG Put this recipe in my Fitday PC program. Definitely considering using it next weekend pre-TOM as part of my arsenal.: If I make two whole recipes and eat them for the first 2/3 of the day, it may help to ease/satisfy the sweet cravings that attack. I plan to keep the fat up as close to 40% as I can get for the 3-4 days before. This may just do it....they were very good. Calories around 1700 today. 35 mins cardio. Then busy all day. Back for chill time. ![]()

Been too busy....yikes, worn out!
Ate an unidentified trigger food after church on Sunday when I went out to eat, and it messed with me, hungries/cravings, all day Sunday and through Monday. Finally had it kicked by yesterday evening. Didn't fool with Fitday, couldn't be accurate, so what's the point. Much more balanced today....! Good workouts every day, through weekend and onward. No negotiating those. Did 135 pushups on Sunday, 20 reps, 6+ sets. Felt great. |

Now that I have a minute....
Have not weighed since Sunday morning, which at that time I was up .5 lbs. That left me with a 2.1 net loss for the week for last week, and that's HUGE for me. I'm very okay with that. After the erratic eating and overconsumption of calories on Sunday's dinner out, I decided to wait a few days before I weigh. The increase in fluids will only serve to bust my bubble, and I don't need that pressure right now. I'll probably weigh this coming Friday or Saturday. Today has been very balanced and controlled. I want to maintain the balance and the energy that I'm feeling today. Makes all the difference in the world. 12:45 p.m. - Cals/ratios so far today: 855: 41P, 28C, 33F |

Another good day! Feeling great.
Good workout this morning....35 mins of Upper Body weights, 25 mins TJ cardio. Enjoyed those oats this morning! This past Sat/Sun were high cal/carb days. Monday ended up being a moderate day. Tired, and was eating a bit more than usu for added energy. (Residual from the trigger food on Sunday....? still don't know what it was) Tuesday's Food: 1644 cals 41P (170 g) 25C (97 c) 33F (61 gr) Tuesday's workouts: 1 Hour Super Callan at 5:30 a.m. 18 mins of elliptical cardio intervals at 8:30 p.m. |

Thank you, Donna! Means a lot coming from YOU! You've taught me well.....
Yeah, my mom....she raised four of us by herself...there's a special place for her in heaven someday.... Yesterday was the third of my low cal/carb cycle. Supposed to start a high day today, but since I'm going away this weekend, I'm tempted to stick with one more low day -- yes, I think I will, then I'm sure tomorrow will be higher, as well as Sat and Sunday. Plan to exercise all three days in any event. No negotiating exercise. If they don't like it, they can get over it. Yesterday's food 1773 cals 41P (183 gr) 24C (99 n gr) 35F (69 gr) Some later-in-the-day meal ratios were closer to 40F. Works for now....TOM's a'comin! Yesterday's workouts: Upper body weights, 35 mins, 25 mins TJ cardio in the a.m., then 20 mins of Turbo Ab Jam around 5:30 p.m. So far so good! |

No problem....I will get through this....it's only TOM fluid.Yesterday's food 1835 cals 41P (187 g) 24C (102 ng) 34F (69 gr) Yesterday's workouts: Upper body weights, then cardio (a.m.) 25 mins elliptical cardio and some arm work (p.m.) Gotta run........... |

Well, I can proudly say that I survived this fight with TOM rather admirably.
I was able to hold on and resist the worst of the cravings, and although I was pretty hungry on Friday (when he arrived), I just chalked that up as a "high cal/carb" day and tried to eat as clean as I could. The visit with our friends was great, having not seen them for two years.....we celebrated with a couple of drinks (DH, more ) both Friday and Saturday, and it was well worth it to me. Ate very clean/lean otherwise. No Fitday, of course....they made fun of my cottage cheese, protein powder and protein muffins....but considering it's me who will have the LAST LAUGH, I took it all in stride.... Hoping I'll be rewarded for my diligence and self-control on Friday -- weigh day. ![]() |

TUESDAY
TOM hopefully gone by tomorrow. Having normal/typical appetite now. This is good. Yesterday's workouts: 5:30 a.m. 1 hour Turbo Sculpt 5:30 p.m. 30 mins elliptical Yesterday's food: 1860 cals 47P (215 gr) 27C (122 n gr) 25F (51 gr) Calories more than I had intended, but I seemed still hungrier than usual, and a bit more tired, probably from the trip catching up with me. Slept like a rock last night. Today should be better. |

Don't stress about the calories...you can definitely afford them and just treat it as a 'higher' day. No worries! On another note; I'm so glad to hear that you not only survived your socializing, but that you managed your TOM quite well. The increased hunger is one of those things I guess you'll have to micromanage, but keeping the cravings at bay is ONE BIG ACCOMPLISHMENT!!! This week will be a great one for you as you're really off to a good start! ![]() |

THURSDAY
Finally getting a chance to journalize....yesterday was a blur! Had to cover a jury trial for another Judge, wasn't used to his courtroom, protocol, etc., and it was a little stessful at times. Long day, lots of witnesses, then had to take my machine to UPS to ship it off for servicing. Got home late....no time whatsover all day for ANYTHING....JUST GO, GO, GO! Then kids, dinner, homework......... So exhausted, slept for 1.5 hrs from 7-8:30 p.m. Took a 20-min jog at 8:45 p.m. Nice evening. Liberating. Needed to destress from the day. No time for fitday yesterday. Hungry all day too, and could have been from too many carbs earlier in the day following my workout, setting me off. Not sure. Makes me suspect. Ended up eating higher cal/carb than I had planned, so I have decided that will be my official carb/cal up day, back to lower today. Yesterday's workouts: Turbo Jam 40 mins 5:30 a.m., followed by 5 mins of ab work. 20 min jog at 8:45 p.m. Today was a much better day menu wise. Fat ratios closer to 35%. Lower calories as a result. Why do I keep fighting that? It works! Energy levels much better today. Rested. Balanced. New haircut today....a bit nervous, but I went for it. Sportier, sassy, carefree. It works for me...DH must like it! ![]() |

FRIDAY
Okay, I spoke too soon. I don't like my hair. I liked it when my hairdresser "styled" it, but I could NOT get it to cooperate this morning...I wanted to leave the house in a toboggan. I will try again tomorrow, different "products," better flat iron, different approach. I do NOT like spending a lot of time on my hair....this was a mistake, I think. Oh, well. It grows fast. Yesterday's food: (lower carb/cal day) Cals: 1668 37P (154 g) 25C (92 ng) 37F (69 g) Yesterday's workouts: 1 Hour of Super Callan at 5:30 a.m. Usu throw in something in the evenings, but my legs and muscles have been screaming at me lately. I felt it was time to let them have the night off. A bit of recovery time was in order. Weigh day tomorrow. ![]() |

SUNDAY
Been terribly busy this weeknd. No time to do Fitday. Although I overate/cheated Friday night and felt TERRIBLY GUILTY afterwards, I was surprised that it was over and done with, no after effects or fatigue that usually follows the day after. Not even sure why I did it. Emotional stuff, stress, needing comfort....crap, like food is gonna give it to me?????? NOTHING TASTES AS GOOD AS BEING THIN AND FIT FEELS. Cheating is never worth it anyway. But I ended up eating VERY clean Saturday and Sunday, and today I was very tempted to get on the scales, because I felt so light and lean.... But I decided to not spoil my "good mood," and wait until Wednesday.Ate very low, mostly fibrous carbs both Sat/Sunday. Went for a half-hour run tonight. Busy week ahead....hope to start back posting Fitday macs tomorrow. |

Just wanted to stop in and say hello, and you inspire me! Your pic in the first page of your journal is almost exactly how I want to look!
I'm still struggling with a lot of the same issues you had in May- I had about 7o g carbs today and freaked lol, thinking back to the 30 g days... I'm still trying to wrap my brain around it! |

Wow.
I think it's high time to get back to journaling. Work schedules went haywire there for a while, and once out of the habit of journaling, I just let it go. I'm glad that I've remained faithful to my WOE and workouts in my absence from the LCF boards. I gained a couple of pounds since I've been gone, but I'm feeling very inspired with my New Year's resolution of MAKING TIME for Fitday. Yes, it's time consuming, and when I have very little time, it can be taxing. But it DOES keep me accountable and informed. Writing it down, I can see where I'm slipping up, doing well, etc. I think I'm worth the extra time it takes to do Fitday. I gotta do it! So far today, I've kept fats around 35% average per meal. That's about right for me, and since I had an intense cardio day today, I definitely need the extra carbs for more energy. Feeling great. Feeling inspired. I'm resolved! |
