~*~MY NEW LIFE JOURNAL~*~

Tomorrow will be the first day of my new life. I cannot continue to live the way I have been. Food has way too much power over me and it ends now! I have gained 10lbs since my dad died January 7,2006 I miss him so much it hurts. I have found that I stopped caring about alot of things that I use to care about. I know its part of my grieving but its making me miserable. Starting tomorrow 5/8/06 I will begin induction and working out. I also need to come here as much as possible for inspiration and accountability. I will try to list my menus and only weigh myself once a week and take measurments once a month.

I will not waste the rest of my life being fat and miserable!!

I will be 38 in September its about time I started living.

It is officially day one. I am doing great! I did a 45min step class which kicked my butt!

2 cups coffee with sweet n low and 1 tbls cream

B~ ham and cheese omelet 2 pc of bacon

L~ tuna salad

D~ salmon and broccoli with butter

Lots of water and 1 glass of iced tea

Day 2

I am already down 3lbs! Water weight I know but who cares! I did great yesterday! yay me!! Todays menu:

B~ eggs and bacon
coffee with cream and snl

L~ Tuna Salad

D~ pot roast and veggies

lots of water, iced tea and I will fill in snacks later.

Down to 164 today! Drinking plenty of water and no cheats! I'm not sure what my menu will be today. I will post it later.

I just had breakfast eggs ham and cheese and a little fruit (a no no for now but thats ok) and coffee with cream and snl

I am doing sooo goood! I am very proud of myself. yesterday was great. I drank lots of water and no cheats.

B~ coffee with cream

L~ Chicken,celery with cream cheese

D~ 2 hebrew national hot dogs with cheese, mustard and pickles

S~ pepperoni chips with cream cheese, sunflower seeds

Mothers day weekend. I am going to be very busy! On monday I go to the spa for my first facial I can't wait.

Day 11

Still doing great! I am down to 162! Thats a 7lb loss One thing I am doing differently this time is I munch on sunflower seeds whenever I feel the need to snack. Its really working for me! yesterdays menu:

B~ ham and cheese omelet coffee with cream

L~ 3 strawberries, couple sunflower seeds, Cheddar cheese slices,
it was a crazy day!

d~ carne asada salad from Nico's (beef, lettuce, pico de gallo salsa, cheese, guacamole and sour cream) Yum!

water, diet rc

We went to this fantastic brunch at la paloma for mothers day. I did have a little cheat 2 shrimp and lobster raviolis, small taste of the fresh pasta with andoulle sausage, spinach and parmesan, a bite of chocolate cake and 2 finn crisp crackers to eat with my trouffle pate Then back on plan! I even lost a couple of pounds a few days later. I really think I am figuring this out finally!

I found my drink as well. occasionally we go out with friends for drinks and I am a beer lover but can't drink beer and stay on plan for some reason it triggers cravings. I had a cherry flavored vodka with club soda and lime!! It was refreshing and delicious! I have also had a grape flavored one as well. I love it! The best thing was no bad cravings the next day!

I love low carb!

I went for my facial on Monday! It was the most wonderful experience ever We went to Hashani Spa @ Star Pass Mariott here in Tucson and I can't say enough about this place. I felt like a queen! They had this ice water with slices of cucumber and raspberries and ice floating in it and the taste was sooo good. It looked pretty in the picher too! I think I spelled picher wrong? Oh well. I recommend going to the spa at least once in your life. I will be back!!

Still rockin! Yesterday was a little higher in carbs but not bad ones. Menu:

B~ Steak and coffee wierd but yummy

L~ strawberries, sf jello and whipped cream, sunflower seeds

D~ low carb lasagne

wasabi almonds, more sf jello w/t whipped cream

iced tea, water

I drank too much at a bday party on saturday but still stayed on plan until sunday. back on track now and will move forward without looking back
