Treadmill: 30 minutes, 314 calories
Kung Fu, 1 hour

Today I am back on induction.

Breakfast: 3 slices bacon
Lunch: a pastrami/provolone wrap
Dinner: a pastrami/provolone wrap

Starting weight: gulp... back up to 280!

I'm not sure what protocol is for journalling goodness, but it feels great to be back in the swing of things! I am thankful to not have gained everything back, but holy smoly.

I guess when I fall off the wagon, I ate the horse dipped in chocolate.

I went to Texas and I yelled 'Don't forget the a la mode!'

Ah well, back to normal for me. Being back on induction is where I know I will succeed towards getting this weight off again and feeling fabola!

It's great to see you guys! I've missed you!

I am really glad to be here. It feels like home.

I'm on Day 4

I've lost 17 pounds so far! In 4 days! I have loads more energy today, and am planning to get some great things done around the house. When I was bogarting the candy, I noticed I needed constant sugar to keep going. Now I'm able to do things just because I have the energy and the inclination and not because I just ate a box of Milk Duds. *lol*

Kung Fu is a lot of fun. I'm definitely the largest person there, but I'm doing really well despite the fact. I just modify some of what I'm doing, and I still have good form and am learning quickly! I know when this weight comes off I will be even more effective!

It's great low-carbing, and I'm really excited to be back here.

{{{Carb}}} It's so good knowing I've been missed as much as I've missed, my sister from another mister!

*hip bump*

I have relatives coming to stay with us in a couple weeks, so I especially needed to get it together. I want to be ready to NOT eat high-carb! In the past, company coming always either meant going out for dinner or it meant making a lot of high-carb foods and eating right along with everyone else.

Thankfully, because of low-carbing I have a clear head. Instead of looking forward to the food, I'm looking forward to the company and the memories!

Shifts in paradigms like these make such a difference.

Luckily, my guests don't try to get me to eat things I shouldn't. I would feel an immense amount of pressure. Still, I look at it like this: if your guests smoke, should you smoke too? This is your health, afterall!

So bring on the company! I'll have fresh veggie trays, organic yogurts, fresh berries, you name it! Food is fuel, not life itself.

That is such a true statement!! I had to stop seeing it as entertainment, comfort and reward. It's just not the "only" way to celebrate. I was like you with Friday's pizza night. Friday, well, payday, meant a huge order of chinese with all the crispy fixins... It was hard habit to break. Now I eat if I am hungry. That's it. It's my fuel, not my focus.

LOL Allie! I swear you crack me up, girl! You've got the energy going on!

I'm eating two low-carb wraps per day and sometimes a third meal. I'm eating only to hunger and not out of boredom, stress, anxiety, happiness, and allllllllll the many reasons I love to eat!

Today was especially tough, but I'm hanging in!

Thanks for being such an awesome person. I've REALLY missed the heck out of you.

Hi, guys! Thank you for stopping by and saying hello!

I'm homeschooling this year, so I'm on and off a lot.

I'm sticking to Atkins, though! That much I'm not changing.

I'm a little sad for my son today. He thought a girl was his girlfriend but he didn't really do anything to let her know he still liked her. Today while joking around with a friend, his friend told him "Yes I have a girlfriend. Her name is ______". It was the girl he thought was his girlfriend!

I am so heartbroken for him right now, and I admit I wanted to eat some chocolate, but like that would make any difference.

So, instead, we're just going to hang out in the kitchen and mke dinner together.

He really is such a special young man.

Ohhh. I remember when my little brother was in 5th grade and he liked the little tiny blonde doll baby of a girl and begged mom to help him buy her a christmas present, money was always tight so it was a huge request. He bought this little silver bracelet and gave it to her and she barely said thanks and never liked him back and he was sooooooo heartbroken. It still chokes me up.

But yeah, you eating chocolate won't help him. That sounds like an excuse I would use! Hmmm... I should call me brother and see how he is feelin'... I do have some SF chocolates left...

I guess it's easy to see the basic facts when we're not enmeshed in them. My son's in 8th grade, and he's such a sweetie, but he never really made an effort with this girl, so it stands to reason she was going to look for someone else. Now he's crushed.

He's one of those young men who are truly intelligent but notsomuch on the common sense.
