Sadler_Girl 's Diary

Dear diary,
I am doing well, in fact better than I ever have before on this owe. Who am I kidding I have not been this thin in AGES! I know this time I will make it, it is just like my ds says , once you make your mind up your are determined and it dose happen. I guess it is good to be stubborn?
So far sticking with the high fat/protein breakfast and lower- low the rest of the day works for me.
Between the challenge board and here I know I will make myself accountable and I will be way thinner in Nov when I get down south.

Thnaks Mel I have been peeking at yours as well . You are doing great I honestly think it is the challange board that realy helped this time around. I have been on and off before , plenty to often to admit to , this time just seems easier. I have never lost this much before.

Isn't it funny how somethings trigger cravings sooo bad? I am sitting here watching the Nascar race and all I wantted was a big bowl of extra butter extra salted popcorn.Pre low carb I always had a bowl with the race at night or for brunch on Sunday.
SO i got a raddish from the frige with my fruit 2 0 lemon. It dose help with the crunch so I am happy and with all eles I know this too will pass.

We're sitting here watching it too... and I know what you mean. I just had about a cup of broccoli florets dipped in salad dressing!!! I needed the crunch!!! Not the carbs!!!

YOU GOT IT GIRL!!! Listen to what your REALLY craving... it's not the carby food... it's how the carby food makes you feel... find a texture to match first and that's usually enough to "trick" yourself and make the cravings pass...

BTW, I'm a Ryan Newman fan - He's a hottie!!! (DH is a Tony Stewart fan!!!)

Everyone knows I adore Elliott, but Jeff Gordon is the reason I got into nascar. Him and my EX. I have a soft spot for Kevin Harvick, I totaly can't stand Kurt Bush so I root for Kyle.

It is a no race Sunday I will be off a day for the next few days.
I guess sense this is a public journal I will give a little back drop on me. Most people know I still live at home, it is funny I hear so often , you are 34 and live at home most be nice wish I could do that.Neve fails to drive me batty. What people don't understand is my living situation is more work than kids.
My mom is a medicated schizophrenic , granny has small vessel disease and about 4 years ago grandpa had a heart attack and had 4 valves redone. MOM tries a lot but between her med's and what just stresses her out sigh, granny is in a wheelchair and her mind is slipping her short term memory is getting worse. Grandpa never had to do anything in the house his whole life. He dose try it just usually makes more work for me.
So anyway's I was always heavy chubby but it just got worse and worse until I was just plain FAT. I always wanted to work on it I just didn't have the energy or some other excuse. I have some really telling before pic's but I can't figure out how to post them in here. Then I realized that if I die from being morbidly obese what the heck are they going to do?
That's the short version of why I am at home and not working (hahahaha at least outside the home).

I threw what was left of the s/f ice cream out. It is wayyyyyy to sweet plus 3 times the mallitol. Should make for a fun night. That has been my big cheat I only used to eat regular ice cream every 6-8 months two to three times a year I just crave it. The regular stuff is always in the house I never have a problem passing it up. Still not so bad for a cheat, at least it is semi legal. I really want a banana but I will pass them up.
My sense of small is getting some sharp on this woe ( who made up the acronym it is so not a woe-ful way to eat)

My washer just buzzed so time to go put grandpas jean in the dryer so he has clean jeans in the morning.

Hey girl I am glad you posted more about your background so we can get to know you more!!! I think you are a very selfless and giving person and anyone who would ever give your grief for being in your 30s and "living at home" should be slapped with a stupid-stick on the spot!!! (Or better yet, call me and I'll do it for ya!!!) It is very admirable what you are doing for your family and I respect that so incredibly much!!! What a beautiful you have!!!!

I'm proud of you for throwing out that ice cream - LC or not! It served it's purpose to get you over a craving w/o going off plan, but you know you can do with out it and that rocks!!! As for the bananna flavor, have you thought about getting some of the bananna davincis syrup? I have only used the caramel, but it has helped me stay away from Starbucks... (that has really been my only craving.) You could get some and mix it with some cream cheese or something to get the falvor... Just a thought.

Hope you have a GREAT DAY!!!

Hey Mel,

I love the cream cheese idea, all those flavors you can bake with. I worked in coffee shops for many years I know the syrups. The work awesome in cheesecake .I told myself in like July i will buy some. I have time refrains for everything, but it works. Carmel is a great flavor but you also know you can mix flavors right?

Carmel+ chocolate = milky way
Carmel+chocolate + almond = mars bar
chocolate+mint= grasshopper
chocolate+banana+cherry= banana split
vanilla+hazelnut+cinnamon=butter cookie
chocolate + berry( strawberry, raspberry cherry) = choc dipped ____berry
You can put them in coffee tea cheesecake or in ginger ale or club soda.
that's all I can remember off the top of my head.

I am off to start my morning make breakfast and all.

Mel if you have a coffee house around you
1) watch for clerance sales
2) after holiday's specail of the holiday flavors
3) see if they will give you a case price at a good price if they will will split flavors OR if you can find someone toshare it with you.
You will have better luck wil a smaller owned place than starbucks or barnies.
Although barnies dose after holidays like 50-75% off.
Any sweet candy can be made into coffee. what ever your faveorite is we can do it.

Hey Sadler! I admire you so much for your caregiving! I have a degree in family studies and human services so I know how much it can take out of a person! You are an awesome gal, I can tell just from your posts and I want to give you a hug!

Those flavor mixtures sound so good! If you have a TJMaxx store, check there, they regularly have SF Davinci's in the housewares dept.

Also, I Richard Simmons! I think he is adorable, I love his videos, and I love his compassion for the overweight/obese. He truly cares and I don't care what others think about him! He rocks! You will love the videos, they are fun, cheesy but fun!

Today was long, but I did it. I had to watch my cousin and her kids and dogs. She had surgery so she needed help with the kids. I stayed low carb in that high carb house. They are WW's and believe that as long as it is low fat it is cool.
Not for me, hey what ever shrinks your waistline I guess. The chips ahoy smelled great all the rest smelled icky. I guess that's a good thing. I know I will make it to my goal the mini and the long term. Just wanted to remind myself.

I am feeling better, still not hungry. I have had a ton of water and my coffee, food just blah. I had an Atkins Bar cinnamon bun so I had that for well everything. It wasn't th
