godsbeloved79 is BACK with a VENGEANCE # 2

Ok, so here it is April and I'm still NOT near Goal. What have I been doing these days? Eating whatever, back and forth between Fasting, Atkins, and just whatever works. Where has that mindset gotten me?; on the roller coaster to Disaster. Ok for the last pass few days I have been fasting and I lost 7 lbs, which is good! BUT have I learned how to eat properly, I guess not. Ok, with the said and done..............I can move on with this and NOT look back.

What I have decided to do, for the xxx time; is to stick with Clean Eating. When I did that before with cardio I lost over 20 lbs in two months, I had lots of energy, I slept well and had a POSITIVE attitude about life. So why did the scales creep back up on me? Because I choose to eat off plan and sweared that I would return to my plan tomorrow. Well I did at a 30 lb gain . Ok with that said where do I stand today? I pledge to work Low Carbing to the fullest, NO more quick fixes, as they are NOT quick fixes; just derails to more weight gain. I have been at this for TOO long and it makes NO sense that I haven't made it to GOAL yet! So with all that said, I'm back to Induction eating levels and there is NO turning back!

Mini GOAL:

162 lbs

Weekend Menu

I've decided to sit down and get my menus done up, so I'm not caught scrambling around looking for something to eat. I will boil a few eggs, cook enough sausage for breakfast, and maybe make some deviled eggs for a snack. I will stick with salads and steak for dinner and have wings for lunch. I don't have a computer at home, so I won't be able to post; until Monday!

Lyn, you are an inspiration because of your open honesty regarding the struggle that changing to this WOL can bring. You have succeeded because you refuse to give up and keep pressing your way towards your goal. When I started screwing up, I got quiet but realize now how important it is to give voice to your struggle as this is a part of the learning process. Keep up the good work as many are following your lead as to not give up no matter how long it seems to be taking. Wishing you the best.

M/E - until 5/1/06

I'm going to give M/E another try. I did it before and lost a great amount in a few days. I think I lost like 5 pounds in two days? Anyways I will try it until the end of April and see how things go.

Rules of M/E for my viewing!

This challenge is for anyone who is considering, is doing, or has done the 3-day challenge(AKA meat/egg challenge)

NOT TO BE CONFUSED WITH THE PROTEIN GANG THREAD

RULES FOR THE 3 DAY EXPERIMENT! READ THOROUGHLY!
Protein only (lean for best results)
Skip unnecessary fats like cheese and cream
Skip alcohol (yes, all forms!)
Skip junk protein like pepperoni and pork rinds
Drink diet beverages and plain coffee & tea as desired
Use artificial sweeteners as desired
No calorie counting
No cheating (it's 3 days!)
Eat a Centrum type vitamin each day

(from Sheyla)
I'd also say to skip chicken wings if you are having a real slow weight loss (that's my suggestion as well as some other people's suggestions due to high sodium/high calorie content)

Eat to appetite. If you're hungry, eat. If you're not hungry, don't eat. No need to force yourself to eat when you're not hungry. Do not count the carbs in eggs, diet beverages, plain coffee or tea. Your carbs will pretty much be non-existent if you stick to these rules. Within three days, you should be in deep ketosis with a much suppressed appetite. Remember, after two days, if you have lost 3 to 5 lbs, then you were over on your carbs (per Kimmer) And you don't have to do 5 carbs or less. Kimmer NEVER said that. She just said to keep your carbs as low as possible, and as long as you are sticking to these rules, like I said before, your carbs should pretty much be non-existent.

Day 1 - M/E

I boiled up a few eggs and I have some homemade burgers to go with them. If I can do this for the next three days and get into DEEP Ketosis, I would be pleased! At least if I break it, it will be with a salad. Strange how your mind allows you to think that a "cheat" is with veggies .

Day 2 - M/E

Feeling pretty good this morning! I started my day off with some scrambled eggs and sausage patties. Lunch will probaly be chicken breast. Dinner the same. I may cook a whole pot roast and eat off of that for a few days. I'm going to take an enema if I choose to go longer then 3 days with this, as I don't want to get stopped-up .

1 Thessalonians 5:18

In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

It's easy to be thankful when we have everything we want or need. It's when we're forced to do without that thankfulness be-comes difficult. Giving thanks for the opportunity to do without our daily bread is sometimes very, very hard. Yet, God is sure to help us when we need help the most. When we feel weak or hungry or unhappy, He will stand beside us and give us comfort. We're blessed to have God to rely on. Be thankful for the love and care of our Lord. In all things praise Him. When we learn to be thankful in our need, we are all the more thankful in our abundance.

Today's thought: If it is my heart's desire to be thin, God will help me!

Psalm 27:14

Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord.

There will be days when everything seems useless and impossible. The temptation to give up will be almost overwhelming. It is in those times of total desperation that we need to cry out to the Lord. The Lord truly will strengthen the hearts of those who call upon Him. The periods of despair will pass; the temptations will pass. What will never pass away is the loving support of God. He stands beside those who put their trust and faith in Him. Call out to God in the tough times. Rejoice with Him when the times are easy. Wait on the Lord, and He will bless your life!

Today's thought: As the wait goes on, the weight comes off!
