Carbwiser's journal
Ok, so I'm a new member of this forum and am looking forward to being a part of this community. I will definitly need the support and advice.
I am 163lbs at 5'3" with a small frame and my goal weight is somewhere between 107 & 115 lbs. On Feb. 25th I gave up sugar. At first, my goal was just to cut out refined carbs and sugars and to exercise regularly. After 6 weeks of that, I lost 8lbs and was down to 155lbs. But it just wasn't comming off fast enough. I need results! So, on Apr. 7th I started Atkins induction. Or at least I thought I did. I was doing really good at staying under 20 carbs a day but eating those de-lish Atkins bars. I still lost weight. On Monday morning I was down 2lbs! After 3 days! I was so happy! Then on Monday night I binged on those Atkins bars (I ate three for dinner) and felt sooo bad. After reading a few threads on this forum, I see that those bars are a big no no. So yesterday I joined this forum and started over. I'm not sure exactly how I'm gonna do this. I know I need mini goals. But I kinda think that after I reach certain points in my weightloss, I should do maintenance for a while and then start over on induction. I don't want my body to start getting used to eating so strictly and then not be able to handle normal eating. I think fruit and veggies are important, as are whole grains. But lets face it, eating these things are not what got me into this situation. I just don't want to do this yo-yo thing for the rest of my life. I want to develope healthy eating habits. I guess I'll figure it out along the way. I'm starting this journal to help myself keep track of my weight loss and exercise. I'm so excited! 4/11 - 153lbs (only going to weigh in on Mon's, but since it's my first entry) 40 min on the elliptical at level 3 menu: b -1 egg, 1/4c egg white, 1/2c mushrooms, 1tbs green onion, 1oz cheeze l - beef patty, 2c lettuce, 1oz cheese, 1/4c onion, 1oz cheese, 2tbs ranch d - 2 eggs, 1 1/2c chicken broth, 1/2c mushrooms, 1tbs green onion s - 2oz cheese Last edited by carbwiser : 04-12-2006 at 04:58 PM. |

Last night my sister and I went over to my mom's for a visit. They were drinking Chardonnay and I wanted some so bad I could taste it! But, I didn't even have a sip. Oh how I love wine. Chardonay... Merlot... Riesling... Cabernet... Martini's, well that's not wine, but I love them just as much! My mom and sister kept saying how it must be torture not to be able to have some, and it was. But I just kept telling myself "Living with these thighs is more torture," and I did fine.
