Foods I am into right now:

Salads with eggs, cheese and (sometimes) meat...with full fat bleu cheese dressing. I got into it when I first did Atkins, back in 2003...so glad I can eat it guiltfree again

turkey bacon- baked in the oven, so it stays flat. Sometimes, I spread a schmear of neufatchel cheese on it.

egg salad

read about this on this board ...loaded broccoli (frozen chopped broccoli, cooked, with a bit of butter and sour creeam...sometimes, a little bacon)

SF jello with whipped cream. Last time around, I used a lot of redi-whip, and I did fine. As long as it included it in my carb counts, I reasoned, why not ? I even bought a big can before I began re-inducting, but, after a few uses, I squirted it into the sink and washed it run down the drain This time around, I am eating much cleaner, so the corn syrup HAD to go !!! Making the real stuff myself is cleaner, healthier (no nasty chemicals !!!), and tastes waaaay better. Also, it takes some time, so it helps cut down on mindless eating. It's too easy to take a squirt off the can every time I open the fridge

Being the social butterfly I am ( ), it's kind of difficult to avoid situations where everyone is drinking. Last time around, I drank a few times a week, and still lost weight. This time, I'm not drinking, except for a few sips of the cabernet or merlot I order so I don't feel out of place. I sip water, mainly, and I have just as good a time

Thursday's Food

Breakfast: none
Lunch: big salad with mozzarella, ham, a bit of pepperoni, and bleu cheese dressing
Dinner: big salad with turkey bacon, hard-boiled egg, and bleu cheese dressing
snack: sf lemon jello with splenda-sweetened whipped cream

LOTS of water, and one iced tea w/raspberry da vinci's

I do not feel hungry AT ALL, which is such a blessing to me.

Tuesday night was a bit tough- I baked two jello poke cakes for my boss's birthday. I never realized how difficult it is to bake cakes without eating any batter But, I did it, and, while everyone was eating the cake, I just smiled and told myself I wasn't missing anything...I KNOW what it tastes like

I've discovered that shredded hb egg whites have a similar texture to cheese, when added to salads...this is great, as I really want to limit my cheese to 2 ounces or less this time around
