Babybenz's Journal
Holidays are finally over and now I can safely return to my low-carb habits.
It's been a great two weeks full of friends and family in the house but believe me, when your mum is cooking for 3 days in a row it's impossible NOT to cheat. Anyway, I won't allow myself to feel guilty since it was a planned cheat but what counts most is that out of the 20lbs I lost during September - October 2005, I got back the 6 in 20 days only. Scary! I am now back with a clean fridge and ready to go shopping. I am ready to commit as I did last year and this time I will follow my own dedication only. It turned out that, unfortunately, challenges don't work well for me as I think that people spend more time talking rather than committing. I believe this is what ruined my previous effort... too much pampering and no spanking! I believe that keeping a journal will allow me to see what I do wrong and be disciplined. I know I can do it and I know it's what works for me. I 'm usually lazy, I get carried away easily and I have found that commiting and setting small term and easy to reach goals makes me feel better for myself and gives me the strength to go on. These things only apply to myself (just wanted to clear this out!) so don't try this at home . My daily menu has the following: B: Decaf coffee with SF syrup L: Steamed chicken breast with broccoli salad with a bit of heavy cream and Diet Coke D: Salad with grilled cheese Snack: A bit of cream cheese Below are my goals for this new effort of mine: 1. Avoid fried food 2. Prefer grilled and steamed food 3. Eat my veggies *always* 4. Drink at least 100oz of water daily 5. Take my supplements 6. Walk at least 2 miles daily 7. Try to gradually stop driniking sodas 8. Start counting and measuring 9. Set up a weekly menu 10. Maintain religiously this journal!!! I also measured myself this morning and my sister got pictures of me in a swimsuit which I will post as soon as I 'll have them developed. That's all for now, good luck to all! Anna

Ok, made it to noon with no problem... although I am now craving something sweet. I'll try to fight it as it is a behaviour I've learnt in the past: have something sweet after a meal. Let's see how this goes...

Oh well... I did survive the craving at noon but couldn't keep my hands of it while I was at the super market...
Note to self: ALWAYS go to the super market with a full stomach. Anyway, the good news is that today I'm already down 2.2 lbs. Not bad. My menu yesterday was this: B: 2 fried eggs with a bit of cheese L: Fake mashed potatoes with steamed chicken, 1 diet coke D: Egg+cheese+bacon muffins Snack: That stupid chocolate bar. Urgh. Benz.... 2.2 lbs is great but no cheating girl! You can do this. Find that willpower and motivation to hit that 10 lbs and just do it!

Woo hoo! 3rd day today and the cravings are already gone... I can't believe I haven't craved for anything between breakfast and lunch yet! (and I didn't have breakfast today).
I am starting to believe in this again... I want to see myself melting and that's my No 1 priority (not in a sick way, don't worry!). |

I'm already wearing a pair of jeans that was too tight before.... alright!
The weekend will be a challenge as I have guests and they'll want to go out for dinner etc... I know I won't manage completely but I'll try to stay as close to the plan as possible! ![]() |

Confession : Ok, I haven't been a saint so far but I haven't cheated majorly. As soon as my guests are gone, I 'll try to be more strict with induction. Another 2.2lbs down today. Another 2.2 and I'll be in the weight I had before Christmas holidays. Yay! ![]() Last edited by babybenz : 01-20-2006 at 02:48 AM. |

I totally pigged out during the weekend
I hate it when I give in, I have no self discipline at all when guests are around. Urgh! I restarted this morning a clean induction and will weigh in tomorrow morning. No visits or travelling for nearly a month so I hope I will have no outside distractions. Urgh, again! ![]() |
