Nicnacka Journal

Greetings All and Happy New Year!

I have been lurking around these boards for a few years now. I guess thinking I could handle my weight loss on my own prevented me from actually participating in the boards. Any way, my New Years resolution is to "Be a Better Me". So I decided to change the things I don't like in my life. So far I have applied to grad school, and I am looking for new employment. Now its time for the personal improvement: weight loss!

Today is my first real day of sticking to it. So here are my stats:

Starting weight: 233 lbs
Height: 5'-3"
Age: 36 years young
Shirt size: 20 to 22 (depending on cut)
Skirt size: 24
Jeans: 26 (Unfortunately, I have got that horrible "apron" of fat for a belly)
Energy level: non existance, as a matter of fact I want to go to sleep right now.

Goals:
I know some don't like having goals; I myself believed that until New Years, but I really think I need them because it gives me something to strive for. Otherwise I will continue to drift in the same place I have been for the past 10 years. I have broken them in to short term and long term. (2 years is long term for me . Here goes!

1 month: 225 lbs or less
3 month: 200 lbs or less
6 month: 170 lbs or less
1 year: 135 lbs
2 year: 135 lbs and toned the way I want to look.

I also want to get back to exercising. For me, if I don't do it everyday, then I fall off the wagon. So I want to do my Taebo video everyday. Even if I only do 10 minutes - that's fine. At least I did it.

For eating this week, I am using low carb shakes. I am going to be on travel for most of the week, so cooking is not an option. Tonight I will have fish for dinner.

Next I need pics to visually track my progress. Wish me endurance!

You can do this. We all take it day by day and are here to encourage each
other.

If you find Taebo a little hard at first ( i modify ) Walk away the pounds is very good for beginners like us.

It sounds like we had the same stats, height and weight (you have a 1/2 less tho').

and congrats on making those decisions for yourself. I've found journalling here to be a HUGE help and as you know, LCF is the most supportive board around
