Thanks! My hair is naturally wavy/frizzy, so I have to straighten it if I want it to look good. That's about 1/2 the time. The rest of the time I just let it go. I work with mostly guys & they don't really notice a difference, so I figure why bother if I can get an extra 10 min sleep

I did ok today. It was a really bad day at work. I got some $$ and went down to the convenience store in the lobby fully prepared to buy pork rinds & chocolate. But when I got down there, I talked myself out of the chocolate. I kept telling myself - there's plenty of time for chocolate in moderation once I get to goal. It's only 5 pounds away. How much longer do I want to put this off??? So that was a good thing that I resisted. I did have snacks (olives & sunflower seeds) when I came home because I didn't get home until after 8. Then I made chicken stir-fry. I'll probably take the leftovers to work tomorrow for lunch.

It's late - time for bed so I can do it all over again tomorrow

WTG. It's always tough to talk myself out of chocolate once I've decided I'm having it!

In one week I'll be in Spain

I was stuck at 135.4 for so many days that I decided to switch things up. I had some popcorn & chocolate last night. Up 1 lb today, but I'm hoping that it'll go away quickly with some more extra pounds. Sometimes it seems like when the scale isn't moving if I re-introduce carbs for just a day that it results in nice losses the days following after I go back to low carb. Carb cycling, I guess. We'll see if it works.

So I have a date tonight. We're going to meet for drinks & then a midnight movie. Hopefully it'll be fun

I'm off work now until the last day of the month. It hasn't really sunk in yet, I don't think. I have to take a package to UPS to return a pair of shoes I ordered that I don't like & I woke up thinking I had to get that done today. Nope - I can wait until Monday!

I ordered a few new dresses this past week. Got one already & the other two should be here on Monday. I really like the one I got, but it's a little dressier than I thought it would be. I guess that just means when it gets warmer out that I'll have to find occassions to wear it. I already warned my sister that we're going out for drinks more this next summer while her boyfriend is working overseas for a couple of months. Spring/summer cannot get here fast enough for me.

Happy weekend

I hope your carb cycling works. It seems to work for lots of people. I like the idea of it, it's like a treat.

How was your date? How'd you meet?

135.6 this morning. So I basically have until Friday to get below 135 - less than 1 lb. TOTALLY doable. I have a lot of stuff going on this week but I'm going to make a strong effort to work out at least a little every day. And I have no excuses for not eating well with being off from work. We'll see how much I can accomplish by Friday.....

The date was two thumbs up He was really nice, we had a lot to talk about & lots in common. He was so sweet that he sent me a text after we each got home (2 something in the morning) saying that he had a great time. It was an online meet-up which I've actually had pretty decent luck with. I've met a handful of guys from the internet & although I didn't click with most of them, almost every single one was nice enough that I hung out for a couple of hours. So hopefully I'll see this guy again when I come back from Spain

Today is my non-fun day. I have to finish taxes, clean the house, do laundry, etc. Tomorrow is my shop til I drop day. I MUST find a new purse. And I also want to get some new clothes. Wed I'm meeting a friend for lunch & have some other appts. Thurs I might have lunch with an old boss & I'm going to try to schedule a massage. Then I need to pack. Friday is a misc day to take care of whatever I haven't gotten done & then we leave Friday evening for Madrid I need to look through some guidebooks we picked up over the weekend & start planning things we might want to see while we're there. And I have to charge the batteries on my camera & clear the memory on the card. It's going to be a busy week!

Ditto, girlie

135 even today. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Will tomorrow finally be the day to break the 135 barrier???? It's quite possible considering today I probably won't eat too much. I'll be shopping, so no time for food when there's shopping to be done

I already did my abs workout dvd this morning & filed my taxes. I just need to take a shower & I'm off to shop. Well, I have to stop over at my sister's first to pick up some Macy's coupons. And send back some shoes I didn't like @ UPS. I might even look at swimsuits at the store (Macy's that is, not UPS - I don't think their selection of brown paper would be very flattering.....). I think one of our hotels in Spain might have a pool & my sister wants to go in if there is one. I could always bring an old suit, but what fun would that be??

I BROKE THE 135 BARRIER

134.2 this morning. I know logically that a 1 lb loss absolutely cannot be seen on my body, but it's such a mental hurdle to have gone down to this weight. It's my new low in probably about 10 years. And it wasn't due to dehydration, either, because I had plenty of water yesterday. I really wanted popcorn last night, but I told myself I wanted to see this number more. Now I'm happy I didn't go for the popcorn

Today I'm going to work out, meet a friend for lunch, maybe get a mani/pedi & then run some other errands. I think I need to start packing tonight. Still not sure exactly what the weather is going to be like over there - may range from low 60's & rain to 70's & sun. That'll be fun to pack for considering I'm only taking a carry-on type bag.

Oh, and I didn't end up with a new swimsuit. I didn't really see anything that I liked that was worth the $$ they get for suits. I did get a new raincoat, a skirt, 2 pairs of jeans (that are too low & too tight - but were the best I could find - stretch always has some give in them anyways) & a couple of tops.

134.anything didn't last very long! LOL. The PMS fairy grabbed me yesterday. I had a couple slices of bread, popcorn, a couple of cookies & bbq ribs (although I did get veggies instead of fries). BUT, I was still only 135 today. I drank tons of water to help flush as much of it away as possible. I feel bloated today Live & learn.

Thanks ladies! It's going to be hard going without my e-mail & Internet access every day. Although I think one of our hotels has free access in the lobby - we'll see. I guess it's a good break to take for a little while - as long as it doesn't give me the shakes - hehe

I'm leaving for vacation at 134.6. Not the best it could be, but not the worst, either. I'm PMS-y & slightly bloated still, so it would be wonderful to come back from the trip with only a couple extra pounds. As long as I stay in the 130's I think I'll be happy.

I'll be back at the end of the month with pictures to share! We actually get back in on the 28th, but it'll probably take me a few days to recover from the jet lag.

Until then - be good

Back from vacation Overall it was a good trip. We did get on each other's nerves a couple of times, but never too bad. The trip home didn't go so great. Our flight from Barcelona to Madrid was delayed & we ended up having to RUN through the airport to make our connection. Luckily there were about 10 of us, so they held the plane for us. My heart was pounding running for so long! Of course our luggage didn't make it, so I'm waiting for it to be delivered this evening. Hopefully it gets here because I was stupid & packed my keys (including work desk keys on the chain) & my camera battery recharger in my checked bag. So although I have my camera, the batteries are both dead & I can't upload anything other than the first 50 or so that I managed to get off the camera before the 2nd battery died.

So the damage wasn't too terrible considering I ate terribly. I was at 138.6 this morning - still in the 130's, so that makes me happy. I know I'm really carbed up & I think the extra 4 lbs will come off quickly. I need to order some groceries so I can get right back on track tomorrow.

Yep, I got the keys and the luggage back! That was just the start to my bad week, though. Things have been kind of crummy this week. At least I'm not letting myself eat away the problems, though. Although I did have pretzels & a piece of chocolate for lunch yesterday - not the best choice but I didn't have time to get anything for lunch & was starving.

I'm 134.6 today. Broke the 135 barrier even with my crappy lunch. Probably helped that I only had tuna & water for dinner last night. I'm going to wear a new dress to work today. It's a little tight, so that should keep me from overindulging at lunch
