![]() My name is Tinah I have been on Atkins since April '05. I am starting this journal so that I can feel accountable for what I am eating. I have a fitday account but something about knowing someone else will see what you ate is motivating. I know I will do better knowing people are watching me. Please feel free to give advice, suggestions or just state your opinions. I will be posting my daily meals, water intake and workouts. Wish me luck. |

Monday, November 21, 2005
Today, I went to D&B for breakfast/lunch and I did good.
I have not worked out today, but I will update when and if I do. I am going to try and do two 30 min sessions on the treadmill each day and also go to Curves. I will only do 30 min today cause I already missed the morning workout and Curves closes at 7:00. So Im not off to a great start So heres what I ate today: B- Nothing L- Chicken Breast, Green Beans, Ceaser Salad (no croutons) D- Summer Sausage and Chedder Cheese For more detail click on my fitday link.

Today I woke up at 10:30 didnt eat breakfast. I went to get my nails done and then went shopping. I was kinda excited I actually fit in size 10 dresses and pants. I still didnt find anything to wear for my husbands Christmas Party. I dont think I want to go after all. I might just spend that money on a purse I have been wanting. You know as a reward for all the hard work I have been doing.
I didnt work out again today I was not home all day. I did alot of walking at the shops. I did bad too with my water. Oh and last night I said I was gonna fill up my mug and drink all my water well I didnt actually drink any water at all. I will do better tomorrow. I really need to get that water in and do my workouts. I am really gonna go get a mug of water and try to get it all in tonight. I will update tomorrow if I dont actually do it. Today I cheated with carb blockers. I had tacos at Taco Tote. I weighed 154.2 new low for me. No work out lots of water.

Today was a planned funday so I ate everything I wanted. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. I am totally paying for it. I feel like a stuffed turkey. I am so bloated. Took carb blockers but dont know if they really work. I drank all my water though.

Cheated myself today. I was doing good till dinner. I ate some left over stuffing, then I had a small bowl of cereal. Then about 3 hrs later I had a Chicken Sandwich from Burger King. Uggh. I cant believe it even after all that pain I went through after last night. I did it again. I wont let it bring me down though. I will definetly start over tomorrow. No cheating till I reach my goal. Well today was the moment of truth. I weighed myself and it was not pretty. I feel so horrible for cheating. My wonderful 154.2 gone. Ugh I cant believe I cheated myself like that. I will get it back. I am going to try so hard to get on the treadmill everyday at least 30 min. I need to go to Curves too 3x a week. Come on Tinah what are you thinking. Get off your lazy butt and start working out. 140 lbs get ready cause here I come.

I am so upset I cant stay off the scale and everytime I get on it the numbers keep going higher. I dont understand I am not cheating and I am drinking lots of water. Im not even in ketosis. What do I do. Hang in there Girl it'll be okay. I'm in the same boat. I was down to 155, now I"m back up to 167, I want to be thin, but food keeps calling my name!!
Remember when you cheat, the scale often doesn't show it for a few days, or at least you don't see the FULL affect of a full blown cheat for a few days, you will see an intial gain and then WATCH OUT, yo'ull be crying... ask me how I know... |

Missy: I know what you mean about food calling your name. Everytime my 3yr old asks for cereal I just want to eat the whole bowl. When I am asleep I swear I can hear the oreo cookies calling my name. I dont think I will be doing any full on cheating soon. Maybe just one meal like this saturday for my daughters birthday.
![]() Kathy: Thanks for your support. I love this site. Its nice to know other people are wishing me luck and hoping for my success. My "friends" dont even do that. Its like people are hoping I fail. They often make negative comments about the WOE and whats gonna happen when I stop. What makes them think I will stop. So how many pounds have you lost so far from your Christmas goal? Im hoping to be 148 by Christmas. Good luck. Let me know how you do. Thanks again to both of you for your encouragement I really needed it. I just got on the scale and its going down baby. Today was a good day for me I tested for ketones this morning and I was deep in ketosis.
Finally, I guess the reason it didnt show the night before was cause I drank so much water yesterday. I have a bad habit of testing each time I go to the bathroom. From now on I will only test once and in the morning. I did really well with the diet and water intake I even got on the treadmill. Hopefully all that was not a one time thing and I can get myself off the couch everyday. I felt great and it wasnt as tough as I thought once I got started. So heres what I ate today: Breakfast: Breakfast Casserole Snack: Celery w/ 1 tbs peanut butter Lunch: Portabello Pizza Dinner: Chicken Quarter alittle zucchini Dinner/Snack?: 2 eggs w/3 oz sausage ( I was still hungry) |

![]() I am so excited today I weighed again and I was down to 153.6 WOW. I hope it stays or goes down alittle for my official weigh in on Sunday. I had a good day lots of energy. I got alot of things done I have been putting off. I did great with the diet although I didnt eat enough. Im hungry now but hubby said not to eat this late cause its bad for you. I guess I can wait till breakfast. I even got on the treadmill again. I am so excited I really hope I can keep it up. I just gotta force myself to get in there and just do it. Now I just gotta get myself doing some weight training so I can tone up. One step at a time though. I dont want to burn myself out. I did good with diet. I was able to resist the sweet cupcakes. Took my daughter to D&B for dinner and games. I even got on the treadmill again this time I stayed on an extra 10 min.

OMG!!! I am so happy the scale keeps going down everyday. I dont want it to stop. Today I got on and it said 151.4 that is like awesome. I guess the treadmill is working. So today was my daughters bday and I had planned to cheat for dinner and I did. But didnt do too bad. I served my self a double cheese burger, large fries, and a small coke. I ate the burger, 10 fries, and couple sips of the soda. Then I got a big piece of cake which was the main reason I wanted to cheat. I ate like half of it and was grossed out. That was my only real meal. So I still didnt meet my calorie quota. Less than 1200 cals is bad I think. I had probably 650 or so. I checked earlier and I am still in ketosis. I worked out too I am on a roll. I really didnt want too was feeling really tired but I knew I would feel worse if I didnt work out. So I did and I am glad cause I feel great. I hope the scale still says 151.4 or less tomorrow or I will be upset. But I deserve whatever I get I guess I am the one that cheated.So heres what I ate today: Breakfast: nothing Lunch: pizza topping off two slices & diet dr pepper Dinner: double cheeseburger, 10 fries, some coke, half a large slice of birthday cake.
