Today I stayed and played on my new puter, it's quite the machine when it comes to music, love it! I even watched the last of my dvd movie on the puter while I was multitasking. I can even watch live tv down in the corner if I want! It can really get my head a hurtin' trying to figure it all out

Still no aerobic exercise today, did get some stretching and pushups in and will do 100 ab situps before bed. I hope today is the last day I feel crummy I'm planning on getting back to the pool tommorrow, then every day this week. Between my knee and being sick, it's seems like I havent got to do anything for a long time. :blush:
Just got back from the weeks shopping. It's fun when I only have to cook for me I can't believe I'm working towards the 170's.... next week? ...the week after?

This weeks menu:
breakfst- eggs
lunch and dinner-some variation of the shopping list below
chicken, spinach leaves, utter lettuce, grape tomatoes,salsa verde, eggs, sweet onion, yogurt, walnuts, apples, sugar free jello, lite whip cream, jalepeno's, soup veggies, chicken boullion, broccoli, egg plant, squash, zucchini, cucumber

oh and.... water water water!!!!!!!!!

Have a groovy heart filled week!

Full Snow Moon - February Since the heaviest snow usually falls during this month, native tribes of the north and east most often called February's full Moon the Full Snow Moon. Some tribes also referred to this Moon as the Full Hunger Moon, since harsh weather conditions in their areas made hunting very difficult.

My honey is in New Zealand this morning, but he did call and I'm still adoring the beautiful diamond ring I got last week before he left Tonite I will light the heart shaped candle he got me and think of him... ..well, ya know I'm not gonna say anything else here...
Today I am down another pound! 183, WOOHOO-FRICKEN-WOOHOO!! I am just shaking in excitement that I will be in the 170's soon.... then the 160's, 150's, 140's..? This is one of the best things I've ever done. I'm really enjoying myself helping those pounds melt away. I'm not a fanatic, but I'm very focused...and it's fricken working! Holy sheep chit batman! Finally got to go to aerobics last night, first time in 1.5 wks! It felt great! (thus the # down this morning...ut oh...here I go again>> woo-fricken-hoo!) I'm working on doing at least 100 abs per night. I learned one you can do from the couch while sitting there too, but I like the one where I lay on the floor next to the bed, and curl my abs up and over the bed (hard to describe in words, so here, I'll demonstrate... ugh, umpf, uuuuuuhhh )
Browsed the apparrel dept last night, even tried on some clothes..wow, I can fit into size 12 Gloria Vanderbilt jeans! And I must learn to quit grabbing for the XL's because those are way to big! (god, I'd never thought I'd ever say that) I did buy some things on impulse but plan on taking them back today as I really dont need anything right now. I would like to lose another 20 before starting to invest in clothes again, put down the damn visa!

*celebrate the spirit of love*

Valentine's Day Poems

[COLOR=RoyalBlue]
Love may be beautiful, love may be bliss
But I only slept with you, because I was pissed.
************************
I thought that I could love no other
Until, that is, I met your brother.
**************************
Roses are red, violets are blue,
sugar is sweet, and so are you.
But the roses are wilting, the violets are dead,
the sugar bowl's empty and so is your head.
**************************
Of loving beauty you float with grace,
If only you could hide your face.
****************************
Kind, intelligent, loving and hot,
This describes everything you are not.
******************************
I want to feel your sweet embrace,
But don't take that paper bag off of your face.
*******************************
I love your smile, your face, and your eyes --
Damn, I'm good at telling lies!
************************************
My darling, my lover, my beautiful wife --
Marrying you screwed up my life.
************************************
I see your face when I am dreaming,
That's why I always wake up screaming.
*************************************
My love, you take my breath away --
What have you stepped in to smell this way?
*************************************
My feelings for you no words can tell,
Except for maybe "Go To Hell."
*************************************
What inspired this amorous rhyme? --

[COLOR=DarkOrange]Whoa, what an graphics freak I am! I guess I've been trying to make this low-carb-weight-loss-thing fun. Are we having fun yet?

My tiny little pea brain has a hard time thinking about low carbing, eating less, drinking lots of water, and regular exercise all at one. So, anything that I can do to help make it seem less of a struggle, the better. If it was easy why are we all here? duh! If I couldnt have fun here, I wouldnt do it.

When I quit smoking, I had to tell myself the instant I woke up that I did not smoke anymore and then all throughout the day, every minute, every hour until months later I was able to just believe in myself and it was easier. Will low carbing ever be easy for a compulsive carb over eater? I can't fail again. I am trying to be a believer that I can lose weight and keep it off. Do I believe? ..hmmm... I just know I'm trying.

Yep, rambling here... SO WHAT?!?!?!?!!!

Bkfst - eggs
Lunch - yummy hot sauce chicken and sugar free jello w/ whip cream
snack - apple
dinner - dont know yet

Most the time I dont know what to write and then usually it's the same thing. But I guess that's what it's going to take...consistancy in doing the same thing... over and over until I reach goal. Then the same thing to maintain for the rest of my life. OMG, can I see me doing this at 60? 70? Is that when I get fat again?

Today.... 182! down 1.. that makes 2 this week I love it when that happens Monday is my official weigh in and when I have completed exactly 20 weeks of my nwoe. I must stay focused today and tommorrow to get a good number to log.

[COLOR=DarkSlateGray]I discovered it's VERY GOOD! Maybe even TOO good!! I will let ya know if it stalls me, I know too much cheese does. I have learned that I have to eat my yogurt each day as it sure speeds the weight loss, for me. But with straining out the Whey to make yogurt cheese...hmmmm... I'm not quite sure yet.

I researched the internet last night for about 2 hrs looking for the nutritional information and pros and cons of distracting the whey from yogurt. I will reread all my saves and come to my conclusion... However NOT BEFORE I eat the 3 containers of yogurt I bought yesterday.... this chit is reeeeallllllllllly addicting, so it cant be good for you!!

I never really found the information I was looking for. I just hope I'm not draining all the good properties out and leaving myself with just the fat. That wont be good for me

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
If you're looking for a lower-fat alternative to spread on your bagels, crackers and toast, consider making your own version of cream cheese using yogurt. The finished product is easy to make and has the same consistency as cream cheese but is much lower in fat.
To make yogurt cheese:
Empty a pint of low-fat yogurt into a large, fine-meshed strainer or colander lined with a coffee filter or a double thickness of cheesecloth.
Place a bowl under the strainer to catch the whey (liquid) that drains from the yogurt. Discard the whey.
Cover the yogurt and refrigerate for eight to 24 hours. The texture will vary, depending on how long it drains.
[COLOR=SeaGreen]I have just finished my 20th week on my new WOE. 43# down (woo-friggen-hoo!) I am happy with my progress, although more is always better of course
Can I keep doing this? Yes, prolly... I might have to give up the YOCHEESE though, as it is too damn yummy! Since I'm one of those compulsive overeaters, I have enjoyed the sweet treat I made the last 2 days... and I mean..REALLY enjoyed it, alot, too much!! So I must control myself and not have it in the house when it's just me and the refrigerator alone :blush: I cant be trusted
I'm dissapointed, I didnt get measurements when I first started. I do have some readings.. Jan 6th I was 44 at the belly button, today its at 40". I know I've lost at least 7-8" on my belt since Oct 05!
[COLOR=DimGray]Thanks Alc, but holy moly look at yours Cant wait to get there!
I decided today after eating lots of (not going to say how much) Yo-CRACK-cheese over the last couple days, it has triggered sweet cravings. I was fine staying away from the sweet treats. Saying "no" is easy... but to keep sweets in moderation is another story. Once I have it, I crrrrrrrrrrave it and want more! Its my problem area. Yeah it's a great treat, if you can control yourself with portions. I, obviously, cannot!
so... my conclusion---
Yo-CRACK-cheese = yummy
yummy = eat more
eat more = cravings
cravings = more Yo-CRACK-cheese
more Yo-CRACK-cheese = LESS WEIGHT LOSS!
I cant be trusted with it. :blush: No more Crack-Cheese for me, dammit!
Ok..... whew.... back on my plan today. I'm having to fight off the cravings of sweet cherry crack. I know it's a problem as I think about it all day long! Hi, my name is Theresa and I'm a food addict! Just say NO!
Todays menu-
Bkfst - eggs
Lunch - LC yogurt, salad
snack - apple
dinner - hot sauce chicken
snack - NONE! NADA! Just say no to CRACK!
..more water! aerobics tonite!
[COLOR=Black]60 mins DWA tonite, great work out. When I stand in front of the mirror, suck in my abs as hard as I can, and if I push aside my rolls, I can see the definition of my abs! It's very exciting! Yes, I flex in front of the mirror... so what!?!?!?!
I'm waiting for TOM to dissapear. May go skiing on Saturday with friends. DBF will be back next week, but I have to say I really dug the silence and serenity.
That's about it for today... it was busy. Hopefully post more tommorrow.
ciao
[COLOR=Blue]Today is the first day I havent worn a tummy tamer (granny girdle) with my jeans! Instead of a big round hard pooch, I have a soft roleypoley one Size 12 stretch low rise..not tight. It feels so good to get back to being average again. The unfortunate part is technically I'm still in the "obese" category. God, I cant wait till I get out of there!! 6 more to go to the "over weight" category!
181 this morn... down 1 (fnally, it's been a long week) TOM is still here, although I usually have very brief TOM's
Mommy is coming to town next month. I'm going to be strict with my "diet" for the next 4 weeks.. I'm sure she thinks since I've lost weight that I will be skinny... but when You start out at 225 it takes a long time for that.
I'm proud to say I've been drinking at least 64+ oz of water each day.. I'm feeling better so I'm exercising every day again, less Fridays which I can never seem to ever get anything done on them days..
Todays menu..
bkfst - eggs
lunch - lc yogurt, cheese slice, broccoli
snack - apple
dinner - chicken, brocc
water water water water water
*life is too short not to have fun*
[COLOR=Navy] me wuvs alluvyuz, tanks much!!
pooti - yo-hungry is right! It's not filling at all, or at least that's mind keeps telling me! I didnt think about it spiking the blood sugar since it would only has <6 crbs per svg. My A1C is 5.9
It's hard work keeping up with you girls!
I'm having a great weekend. I'm sticking with lower carbs and drinking lots of green tea and water. Took the bike out for a little bit today, now it's time for a blanky and a movie
Hope everyone is having a groovy weekend!!
[COLOR=DarkGreen]One more day til DBF comes home.. I have to admit that I've really enjoyed the time alone. Alot of things to work out in my head without the distractions. Our relationship hasnt been the smoothest. I suppose sometimes we get caught up in the moment and dont realize we are digging a hole.
I need to make some big decisions this year, him being one of them. He loves me because I am everything he is not. I am strong, outgoing, have a mind of my own, and am honest. He is the opposite, and the more time we spend together, the weaker he gets. Which makes me stronger...and thats not good. I need a rock, a partner, someone whom I can count on when I'm am most vunerable. When the tough gets tougher, he gets weaker. I am growing to really despise him because of that and because he isnt the one I can count on to help me up when I fall. He is so needy, and I am independent. I feel like there is a ball and chain attached! ARGH!
Wow, am I being totally honest here or what? Am I finally releasing the truth to myself? I know I cant live the rest of the life like I have been. Its been fun, but it also has been empty. Things look rosey on the outside, because you cant see the rot starting from the inside.
I guess I'm the one who always rescues the injured.. I always give the benefit of the doubt, at first. I see the positive in people and hope for the best. Sooner or later I see the truth as I cant deny it any longer. Will things work themselves out between us? I dont know. I am tired. He tries, but tried way too hard! He changed from the person I fell in love with in the beginning... he has dropped the facad! I hate fakes! I have talked about this with a few people.. he plagerizes me. What I say, what I like, what I do, where I go, my friends.. it's like he doesnt have his own personality or can do anything by himself. He is TOFU!
whew...I am feeling better! I thought you were supposed to miss someone when they are gone?!?! ..and no, PMS was last week This is the year for change for me!
Ok, rambling here. Just needed to get that out in the open so I can reread it.
Today:
B - eggs
L - tomatoe, cucumber, feta, walnuts, olive oil, spices
S - apple
D - ?
Exercise: 60 mins DWA tonite
Been doing at least 100 abs and 50 pushups when I dont DWA. Cant wait for my callenetic dvd to arrive!
*be honest with yourself*
