day 42

I found out this morning that if I hang onto the towel bar while weighing I can get down to 184! Oh yay! Then gravity sets in as I lose my grip and have to let go and watch the healthometer shoot to 211 (yippee, 1 lb gone). It's fun to reminisce about the good ol' 180 days and know that I'm going to get there again, dammit! haha!! ...Oh yeah, and stay there this time and make that a goal never to exceed! Starting over sucks.

More water, exercise later.. maybe a walk..hmmm

*love is everywhere*

day 43

Got some exercise in last night... 30mins gazelle, another 25 min of other exercise and 50 wall push ups throughout the day. I can really feel my chest muscles burning! But, damn nice cleavage is forming 212 this morning. I chalk that up to the popcorn I had last night. I knew the salt would keep it all in. I'm ok with that as Im doing good, I'm happy and dont feel deprived!

*dance the night away* (dont ask me why I said that, it just sounds better than working right now LOL)

Got 80 mins of exercise yesterday! woohoo! 20 min fast walking at lunch, 60 min dwa. That's 1295 mins since I started my "750 min of exercise before Tday challenge"! I'm doing good! Also got in 525 wall pushups! It may not look like much to some, but it's alot for me and I'm workin' it baby!

I'm a daily weigher and it's helping me figure out what is working and what isnt. 211 this morning! I would like to get to 199 before the end of the year We'll see what my body says about that! ha!

I need more water... am making myself write down how many 16oz glasses I drink per day. I'm trying for 1 before lunch, 2 after, 1 at dinner. More if I can, baby steps for me.

Cinny honey! Great to hear from you! You're doing great too... 8 lbs is awesome! Hell, I've gone 2 weeks at a time in a stall and I'm really trying hard. I never know or ever count on losing weight. As long as I feel better and my mind is learning how to think healthy, Im happy Of course getting into those size 10 leather pants would make me very very very very very very very very happy

Kary and Uc are doing regular DWA. There are lots of pools around Washington county, and we all have passes now so we can go to any of them. I even get Conan to go with me He hates being left behind...hahahaha!

It sounds like it's going good for you. Are you working yet? How does hubby like the new job?

Keep up the good work and dont over stuff yourself on Tday... it's just not worth it!!

day 46

This writing in the journal really makes me think of what Im doing each day. I hope everyone does it somewhere. I really feel accountable for my actions, thoughts and goals knowing that others are watching me. I know I've fallen off before and went back on what I said, but usually if I say something, I mean it and follow through with every effort I can.

As far as watching me, that's cool. Learning from me, well... we all have to learn what works for us, nothing is the same.. medical conditions, exercise routines, foods, emotions, attitudes, family, heritage.. all play important factors in how our body works. I believe food can make or break you. Food can cure, it can kill. Food is what makes us up and defines how our bodies are going to age and breakdown. If I was only as smart as I thought I was in my earlier years. I hate to say it but my mom is the one who first conditioned me to eat the way I did. I dont have children so I didnt pass any bad habits along. As we get older we learn more of what's good, bad, and what's right and wrong. We need to count on ourselves to make the right decisions, people respect that in other people too.

I believe in an apple a day (yummy honey crisps and fuji's are good right now). I believe in natural foods (although Im not a health nut). When I go to the store I have learned to stay to the outside and not go up the isles where the canned and processed foods are. I also believe that man, in their great intentions, developed food in convenient forms with chemicals additives and all the other manmade stuff to change mother nature's natural process so we can save a few minutes at home, make it simpler so we can move faster. What happened to the fun of preparing meals and making it a family event. Then profits came in and the moguls neglected to acknowlege that maybe it wasnt such a good idea but hey, the corporations had their fancy cars and swimming pools. The population became addicted to sugar and flour and soda pop. They brought it into the schools and controlled our children. We all over consumed.

Take control of your own life! Say NO to crap, say NO to processing, trans fats, sugar, chemicals..ect.. dont let anyone cram anything that's not good for you down your throat no matter how pretty the packaging. ::::climbing off soap box::: Thank you Now get back to work, you spend way too much time on the computer!!

Oh, and dont overeat on Thanksgiving, it's just not worth it

Today... 210! down a pound.. yippee!

*have a groovy day*

Same ol', another day another dollar I need to make. 210 today. 60 mins DWA last night and 40 wall pushups. Bad thing is... the weekend is here and even when I do good I still cant seem to get the results that I get during the week.

I eat pretty much the same thing during the week, at the same time of the day. On the weekends I may not eat breakfast until after 9 and then lunch and dinner whenever. Does this have something to do with it? Maybe my body learns it gets food at a certain time and learns how to burn that energy. I confuse it on the weekends and when it's ready to burn, the fuel isnt there... hmmmm?

Kinda like an animal. It wants fed at a certain time everyday (or all day long if its my cat..lol) When I first wake up, I feed her.. When I first get home from work, I feed her. Its a pattern. She thinks she's going to starve if I dont hop right on it. The weekends really irritate her cuz I dont get out of bed in the morning as early as I do during the week, oh..then I have to deal with the meeeeeeeeoooooowww mmeeeeeeNOOWWWW!!

Sometimes this is too complicated

*Happy TGIF*

I can relate to dealing with the cat - she sounds just like mine! whenever I go into the kitchen she's right on my heels, the little opportunist

Thanks for the inspiration - I'm taking control and will not falter just because it's Thanksgiving soon!

Let's see, I'm a couple days behind on posting. Friday night we went out and ate the best parmesean halibut I ever had!! YUMM!! I stuffed myself!! Oh, also had a margarita, but just one! Then we went to a comedy club where I only drank herb tea as I was the DD. Thats about it! Cant seem to get any exercise in on Fridays

Saturday I went to DWA in the morning for 60 mins. Then we rode the bikest on a Toy for Joys run with a police escort through town. That was very cool!

I forgot my food journal at work so I need to transfer all the info I wrote on another paper to that. Darn it! It's like my bible to help me through the day! OMG... I know I weighed... now where did I write it down at?!?!?!! My memory isnt something to rely on these days.. ok ok here it is... 210. Today was out of weekday norm but I still did pretty good.

As expected, everyone is talking about Tday dinner.. all the sins, desserts, food, what they are making, what they are going to fill themselves up on... it's kinda sad.

I've been using the "sniff and whiff" approach. Get yer nose about 6" from the food, take a big whiff......breath in....... hold it.... breath out... one more little sniff.....hold it...... give the brain time to absorb the smell and tell itself that all is good.... breath out...repeat as necessary AHHHH, now wasnt that good?!!!!!!!!! It's better than eating then throwing up (not that I would waste good food like that)

** DON'T OVER EAT ON THANKSGIVING, IT'S JUST NOT WORTH IT! **

210 this morning... teetering towards 209. 60 mins DWA last night, and it was a workout! I feel Im getting stronger as I'm able to keep up. I work as much and as long as the pain is a good pain. I love it.

Wishing everyone a safe and happy Thanksgiving filled with family, good food and good friends

Hey thanks buddy! Giver 'er a try! My "sniff and whiff" approach worked on the donuts yesterday, it actually gave me a headache.. or maybe that was from holding my breath everytime I went in the kitchen for coffee?!?!?!?!?! The bonus is: If you get too close to the food, and a little happens to get stuck on your nose, that's FREE FOOD!! See, I'm always working it baby!

You're doing awesome too!! You will be at goal soon

ps... I'm a couple days ahead of you, I figured out "onederland" last week! Of course that was after many many months of thinking to myself .. "w t f is that"

day 53

Thanksgiving, Pilgrims giving thanks and share a big meal with family and friends new and old. Over the years it turned into overeating, feeling bad, have tons of leftovers and dirty dishes. Typical American dinner on the last Thursday of November. My grandparents did it, my mom does it, I used to to it, I didnt know any better! Well, I didnt until my new WOE. I made it through today, no regrets, no backward steps!!

I'm thankful today for all my friends at LCF your support and friendship! It make it alot easier for me to make the right choices and stay on my path.

It's even getting simplier for me to think, cook and eat LC... The best part is, it also can be just as scrumpdillyishess!!! I can also be satisfied eating way less, it's a good combination! Bonus that I feel just as satisfied with less food... woohoo, good for me!

210 this morn... prolly from all that hamburger I ate last night >oops< It was good and had to have something on the taco salad (no shell please).

Just me and DBF today, it was great! Turkey breast slices, steamed brocc carrots and garlic cloves, 1/4 sweet potatoe, 2 halves deviled egg, sugar free low fat jello whip cream cream cheese pie, pickled asparagus, cheese, apple..(no, not all at once! ha!) all between lunch and dinner. It's a good day

Oh, did i mention Baja Bob's Sugar Free Margarita Mix????? Right after this post baby

60 min DWA last night. Total minutes for Tday Challenge (5 weeks) 1675 minutes of exercise and somewhere around 565 wall pushups!!!!!

1000 minutes and 600 wall pushups before Xmas?? ... ready, set, go!!

Holdiays are easy, bbq's are sorta easy, 4 days at home relaxing is the toughest! Movies, laying around, napping, playing on the computer, laundry, nothing too strenous. I dont drink my water like i should!! Even though I didnt overeat on sinful things, I seemed to just overeat.. munching all day. My overeating compulsion was hard to resist. I kept making excuses... "everyone does it, it's ok it's a holiday, blah blah blah".

My sniff and whiff worked, except after thanksgiving all the food was stuck to my nose, so I had to eat it!! (bad girl) The carbcals were'nt out of this world, they were just more Apples, sugarfree lowfat jello pie, carrots, turkey, diet soda, tea, coffee, hotdogs, salad dressing, bbq sauce, more carrots, another apple, more hotdogs, sausage and eggs, more sf lf pie (it was too good, no more making it at home), it seemed like it never ended. Oh, and I had to have those SF margarita's!! 209 weds, 210 thur, 211 fri and sat, sun i was too scared. I told DBF to eat everything in the frig immediately before I did. He's such a good little helper I feel a little guilty but I shouldnt. DWA Sat and Sun, which was good...need more workout. My body just cant burn the food like normal... I need to see it and stop it before it gets out of hand. My bad.

Monday, 213 I expect the 4-5 lbs variance. I did this to me this weekend, I know it.. I was good on thanksgiving like i said i was going to be, it was just the other days!!

It's ok. Mondays are always more (see how Im justifying this?!!) because I log weight on mondays..... grrr grrowwllll bark bark!!

*one day at a time, and today is only one day of many* *keep focused, keep on my path*

Thanks Pooti!! I even try squeezing my kidneys, pull out a gray hair or two, even cut the toenails, but no loss there either!! God, 180...those were (and will be) the days!!!! Sooner than later would be best for me

My biggest advice to everyone on here... NEVER lose track of your success!!

day 58

Groovy cool superduper!! The weight gain from the weekend was only temporary!! Yippee! back to 210 this morning. That's better than holding on to the extra margaritas and apple bee's crispy chicken salad with extra honey mustard dressing for another week or so!! I knew I shouldnt feel too guilty as I really wasnt that bad. But as we all know, even a little "oopsy daisy" causes a "big dammit wait" for the next drop.

60 minutes DWA last night.. Having a 22 yr old instructor really takes a toll on us older fat folks!

burn that fat burn that fat burn that fat

I switched from creamy sweet coffee to green tea today! Finally! I go in phases, but love my "special" coffee

*everything has a way of working itself out*

day 59

It's rainy, cold and chance of snow out there. We dont get much of that down here in the valley but they do predict it today or tommorrow. It will come and go but people will freak out and everyone will want to leave work early, clogging the highways. DA's! Mt Hood ski areas are logging about 55" of base, good news as I really want to go skiing this year!

OK, confession. It's weird, but I'm on day 2 of the 3 day diet. I always lose at least 1 lb per day x 3 days on this diet. It's just so hard to stick to the food plan... YUCK, tuna plain and a plain piece of bread, beets, but I get yummy vanilla ice cream! I dont know how it works, but it does. I still eat the same amount of calories +\- but the carbs double. It's not something I will do more than once or twice. Hey, it works for me, k?! 208 this morning! See!!!

60 min of DWA last night, and I need to make another hole in my belt, oh yeah baby!!

Company xmas party next weekend. Got some sexy strappy sandals yesterday to go with my sexy boho dress! If I hold in my stomach I look pretty darn good in it too!

Have a groovy day!!

*everyone is different*
