Well I did it, i weighed myself this morning and what a pleasant suprise. I thought I weighed more cuz I feel like a whale! I can feel the benefits of exercising and eating right for the last two weeks. I tried on some jeans last night and I was able to fit back into a couple pair, so the inches are melting...yay! Last summer I had to buy 2 pair of "fat" jeans, size 18! My stomach is so big, so any big jean is baggy in the bum just so I can get the waist to fit. Needless to say, I look horrible! I cant wait to look good again and get into my favorite Gap Jeans!

220 this morning

60 min DWA last night

4 scrambled eggs for brekky
Crockpot chicken with sourcream over lettuce salad for lunch
Yocheese and walnuts for lunch
Chicken for din

60 mins DWA tonite

Still high in the calorie intake but I'm trying to keep my carbs to under 40. (< hard to do cuz california has some sweet orange crops right now and I love fruit)

Baby steps, afterall this is a life change.

Peace out.

219 this morning, love that number going down! 60 mins DWA last night, 60 again tonite!

I make this chicken sourcream mixture with *special seasonings* that is to die for! It goes over lettuce salad... YUM! So, it's in the plan for lunch again (same as last couple days and dinner). Put some meat in the crock for tonite and tomorrow. Only cooking for 1, so i eat the same thing days in a row.

Had the best snack today: 1/2 cp cottage cheese, lime divinci's and pinch of splenda... omg.. yum!

I also printed out my journal and read it.. (wondering where 2004 went). Read about all my struggles and successes. I know I can do it and even more inspired now. Looks like I can lose 30# in 97 days according to my past history!

Working hard today to stay on plan since I'm home alone and toodling around the house. Only went in the kitchen when I needed and havent grazed. Just ate dinner and ready to pop in a movie. I might have some almonds for snack in about an hour. Been drinking green tea all day.

ciao for now~

215 this morn. 60 min DWA last night. TOM gone!

Reviewing my daily menu, cutting things out, adding things in..adjusting adjusting. Baby steps, remembering this is a lifestyle change not just a diet. Being sure to do things that are easy for me and satisfying. I still need to drink more water!

Low carb, high fat. High carb, low fat. Low carb, low fat. Never ever high carb, high fat! I am working towards low fat with my low carb.

Cant wait for my high carb day to ping my metabolism! Going to have Red Robin's crispy chicken salad with 2 xtra poppy seed dressing... I think of that one ALOT! Maybe this weekend.

215, looks to be teetering downward too!

Yesterday:
1330 cals
21 carbs
0 exercise

No exercise last night cuz of a meeting I had. Good to be with friends but I feel deprived. However I did get a good nights sleep last night! Going to DWA 9-10p has been keeping me up til midnight! Love the exercise, hate less than 7-8 hrs sleep.

Bought a long awaited and wanted iPod on Tuesday. I love it! I need to hook up my main computer so I can get all my cd's and music sync'd over. Sooooooo excited! I LOVE MUSIC! This will get me walking too. I havent walked in my neighborhood since I moved here in June 04. It's just different, not what I was used to in my other cool hippy neighborhood. Having music will be an incentive to get out there.

Wii tonite for exercise and gonna try and get up and go swim at 7:50am Sat. Ride the motorcycle sometime this weekend (if it's not raining). Stick with my eating plan, smile more, be happy. DRINK MORE WATER!!

*smile and the world smiles back*

weigh-in Monday... 214! -2 for the week, purrfect!

Average daily cal/carb for last week:
1226.43/17.86
Exercise week:
240 mins (60 min shy of wkly goal)

Only got 4 days aerobic exercise last week, no Wii. Got some riding in on Sat and Sun which is great for the soul! Am working to get my carbs down to under 20/day. Once the yocheese is gone out of my fridge it will be easier. Have lots of meat for the crockpot this week, yesterday was chicken.

Dont know why I have a slight headache today but I do know that I need to get the bowel moving... dieter's tea is the best for that!

Today:
B - 4 scrambled eggs
L - yocheese & walnuts
S - 1/2 avocado
D - chicken salad

Still need to drink MORE WATER!

*if you stick with it, it will work*

Peace out.

day 30

Here it is, 30 days in. This morning's weight... 213! I didnt weigh myself on the first day but on day 17 I was 220. I know I lost in the first couple weeks cuz clothes were fitting better and I got into jeans I hadnt been able to in a long long time. So 30 days in - at least 10# gone, if not more! Happy Happy Happy! I have been slowly getting below 20 carbs/day. Easing myself into a change, not feeling deprived cuz things arent so drastic. I'm staying with what I've been doing, it's working thus far.

Yesterday's cal/carb/exercise:
1260/23/60 min

Even got a couple glasses of water down along with the green tea I drink everyday.

Everyday I take my Vitamins, read about health, think positive, picture myself in cute clothes (I have stored in boxes), and plan my food simpley.

*believe in yourself*

Peace out.

going down... 212 this morning! Hot diggity!

I've been forcing water down, at least 2 big glasses + green tea. Does that help? Probably!

yesterday cals/carbs/exercise:
1000/13/0

Had a meeting last night so no exercise. Will be back swimming tonite, cant wait! Didnt get to eat my veggies as meeting ran late, so lower cals than expected.. no problem...I wasnt hungry!

Looking back over the last couple weeks and figuring out what's working for me for weight loss. I've been adjusting according to what my body tells me. What works, what doesnt? Some things added, some deleted. Adjust adjust adjust. Here's some things I've done...

1) quit coffee and sweet creamer (coffee stalls me)
2) add more water
3) cut back/delete dairy
4) cut back/delete nuts
5) lower calories <1500
6) lower carbs to <20-30
7) no processed foods/snacks
8) no alcohol
9) exercise 5x week
10) read and listen about health and food
11) come to LCF daily!!
12) absolutely no sugar, bread, pasta and other bad white stuff

Am preparing now for a party on Friday, it's going to be challenging. I want so bad to get into my cute clothes again I hope I have the will power to stay in plan. Might have to bring some things for me to eat, whatever it takes, right!

*keep on keeping on*

Peace out.

day 32

213 this morn.. up down up down then down down.. kind of a pattern.

Work out last night was great, I'm feeling a little better each time. I'm not as tired as I was which is important. I can even climb the stairs without grunting...but not so much when I tie my shoes..LOL

My personal life, well I dont really have one. So no stress there except the stress of not having one. No kids for me to worry about, just the kitties. Work is fine, the same. My weekend job will start up in March, thus I need to be in shape for that, or shapier than I am.. (hehehe shapier, is that a word?).

Pulled on a pair of jeans this morning I hadnt worn in almost 2 years!! Tried them on a little over a week ago and I wasnt quite there. Today, yes! Comfortable too! Yahooey!

Yesterday cal/carb/exercise
1520/20/60 min

Cals were a bit high due to the chicken legs I ate. Then was still hungry for dinner so I ate 2 hot dogs.. is that bad?

*Sugar = lethargy, cravings, high BS, weight gain. The lesson - say NO to sugar!*

Peace out.

down down 211!

Did I mention I have to write down my food intake every single day! Journaling is the only thing that keeps me in check. Lately I've been writing in ahead of time what I was allowed to eat the rest of the day. It has helped me tremendously to stay with it!

Yesterday carb/cal/exercise:
1100/22/60 mins

Party tonite w/lots of food.. ugh! I'm going to eat beforehand and stay out of the kitchen, and no alcohol! I'm on a roll right now and I dont want to screw it up!

Glad it's Friday but weekends are always tough food-wise... so stay focused & keep busy!

*TGIF*

Peace out.

Made it through the party last night without alcohol and without eating! WOW for me! Had a great time, stayed about 5 hours. Got home late last night and up early this morning. Am doing an online refresher.. it's boring LOL

Todays goal is to stay on plan, eat right, exercise. No DWA today so I think I'm going to take a walk and play with the Wii.

Enjoy the weekend!

211, again. Official weigh in tomorrow. Which means I'm heading to areobics in about 10 minutes! lol

Went to IHOP for breakfast (had a meeting with the club). I ordered 4 scrambled eggs and 2 slices of bacon. They gave me CARTON EGGS! YUCK! So i got the nutrional counts after i ate them.... eggs: 520 cals - 10 fricken carbs! I was told next time i can order "real" eggs for no extra cost. I thought i had ordered real eggs, i asked for 4 eggs scrambled. Dont know how much clearer i could have been! AHHHH!

Since I ate half my cal/carb count for breakfast, I need to keep busy and not think about food for the rest of the day!

Exercising this morning, Wii later on.

Happy Valentine's Day! XOXO

Yesterday I dont feel I faired so well due to the IHOPs sneaky carb-attack! The rest of the day was hard for me but I did stay under 30 carbs, but it was 10 over than I was working towards. Damn weekends!

yesterday cal/carb/exercise:
1610/28/60 mins

Got my goal of 300 mins aerobic exercise in for the week (Mon-Sun)

Tomorrow night is my monthly dinner ride. We're going to Corbett Fish House! YUM! I've been looking forward to fish taco's for a month now. I knew this day I would go over my carb/cal counts, and that's ok. It's just once, and it was planned. I drool everytime I look at their menu! I just hope it doesnt screw me up for next weeks weigh-in.

Todays menu:
deviled eggs
tuna
cottage cheese
tbone steak
salad

*picturing myself in the size I want to be*

day 37

I'm stuck at 211.

Tonite will be high carbs at the restaurant. Fish tacos, wine, appetizers. Hoping this will trip my metabolism. I've been concentrating and training myself to eat low carb I forgot that I need to swing up once in a while. Today is the day. I brought an orange to work for snack later too. It's going to be hard cuz I'm a carb-alcoholic/food-alcoholic/compulsive-over-eater and I really want to stay within my guidelines. I shouldnt take this as a defeat but rather an offensive move.

No workout last night cuz the pool was closed, despite of what their website calendar said! Yep, I showed up to be turned away.

I've been drinking water everyday, working on drinking more.

*take charge, gain control*

Peace out.

Just one... only eating one. Just today, not another for a long long time.

Oh my goodness!

NO weigh this morning, I'm feeling guilty for pigging out last night! But it was sooooo yummy! 2.25 soft corn shell taco's w/ cod and catfish (I shared with a friend). I counted up (guesstimated) cal/carb count and total for the day was still under 1800 cals but 175 carbs (or there abouts, again I guessed and most likely over stated carbs). 2.5 corn tortillas, lightly batter fish (very light), 1 coors lite (wow, low carbs and cals, i didnt realize), litely batter scallops and calamari, lettuce, cabbage, special sauces, 10 of the best french fries ever. Hmm... maybe I did overstate carbs.. Lets see.. ~15+15+8+30+6+15+10+20+15. maybe only 130ish for the day.. Hard to say, still more than I ate all last week! This just all affirms how FAST carbs add up!

My cravings today or out of this world! I'm maintaining, eggs for breakfast, tuna and feta and hb egg for lunch, hot dogs and cauliflower for dinner. Aerobics tonite! yeah!

*control cravings, say NO to sugar and YES to protein*

Peace out.

213 AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!

2 days now I've been feeling failure. I need to remember I havent failed and to keep going! My compulsive eating disorder is trying to take over. I have thoughts running through my head that a whole cheesecake wont hurt, or i'll just eat a bag of peanut butter M&Ms today and it'll be ok. IT WILL NOT BE OK! I feel weak, I'm overeating, 1 more hot dog than normal, almonds and other for snack.. not just one thing. 2 days this has been going on! My food log still looks ok, carbs low.. but I'm feeling that I've been bad and why continue.. or I'm bad so it's ok to eat bad the rest of the day.. HELP!

It must stop now!

I love myself
I will exercise every day
I will choose the right foods
I will stick to the plan
I will continue to progress
I will not let little set backs get me down
I will not let food get the best of me

*I will, I can, I must*

Ugh! NO excuses! Those carbs triggered cravings and I've been fighting for 6 days to get over them and not eat any more! I almost caved completely but am gaining control!

Bad foods eaten:
tator tots (#*$@^$)
breaded fish
lots of almonds
cookies at bunko, and not just one... 4!
pita bread
hummus
4 oranges!

Back to LOW CARB for the past couple days!

What the hell was wrong with me?!

'nuff said

Afraid to jump back on the scale. I feel like I'm 213ish, but dont know for sure. Tomorrow I'll get back on.

Having a hard time convincing myself not to overeat. My brain is wanting more and more food even though my stomach says it doesnt need any.

I froze some snacks last night..

Yogurt + real whipping cream whipped + cherry davincis syrup = YUMMILISHUS! MIght be a bad thing.. it's addicting! And of course yogurt has a half of my daily carb allotment.

this weeks cal/carb counts:
Mon Tues Wed
1570 1680 1600 30 33 17
Ok, back in the swing of things.. working to lower carbs...working on eliminating cravings... working on working on!

214 this morning..

Still having cravings, I think I'm eating too much fat (yes, it stalls me or I gain).. strained yogurt is a big culprit cuz I love it! Nuts, hot dogs, heavy cream, blue cheese dressing..

I'm still swimming/aerobics 60 mins 4-5x week, just need to keep my focus on food. 1 bad week of eating threw me 2 weeks behind! Yes, I'm dissapointed with myself.

This week, I'm ok.

*don't stop, the end result is worth it!*
