I'm baaaaaaaaack

It's a neverending battle as well as with all addictions. Hi, I'm Theresa and I'm a carbaholic! No kidding! Up, down, up, down, and up again..

Life and work has kept me away, but I'm always thinking about ya! Now I'm back to tracking food again. Have a group of people heading the same direction, down! Hopefully I can get a couple of them on this site... I rave about it to everyone!

Will pop back when I can.. I always get so much inspiration here

Peace

day 2 of journaling again

The only way this worked is when I made myself accountable. That means posting in front of the world to see and staying true to my words. I have tons of excuses why my weight gets out of control, of course none of them are any good and really it comes down to one thing.. My choices. My choice "not to exercise" is my problem. Even though I eat low carb, choose the right foods.. if I dont keep moving the fat is staying! It's so easy to say, no I'm not going to exercise tonite because (insert favorite bad excuse here). I consciously know that i make the wrong decision when I dont go for that walk or not show up for that aerobic class. I'm thinking of actually getting some therapy, seriously.

Anyhow..

Family reunion this weekend out of town.. low carb is on my brain, I should be fine for eating. Now to get out there and walk..

Peace.

Mini-goal: 5 down by 7/20/07
excercise: 4 nights /week

I started on Jan 5, 2009. The scale read 223. Today it read 218. I know I had 4 or 5 bad days but I get right back on my program. I have been impatiently waiting for my Wii to arrive in the mail. Somehow I feel that's going to kick start my exercise program. Lack of exercising is what got me back to where I am today. I'm just happy I dont weigh more cuz of those few bad days. I know what it takes to lose, dammit!

'nuff for today. Glad to be back. Reading everyone's post and success stories is what keeps me going. I love LCF

216 yesterday and today. I printed my journal here and noticed it didnt go back to the very very beginning I checked how I lost wt last time, how much, when ect.. and I'm excited I can do it again. I'll need support when I have to maintain..again. I know in 6 months I can lose 50 lbs, yeah!

I also am packing around my previous food journal from 04 and 06 to remind me of what to do and to exercise. Also seems the same foods digested daily seem to burn faster. I guess your body learns. I also zigzag my cals/carbs..usually eat low for 3 or 4 days, then I'll have a higher cal/carb day then go back..dont want my body to start hording fat cuz I have enough of it!

B - 2 HB eggs, green/black tea fusion w/ splenda
L - deli ham, 1/4 cup dry roasted almonds, diet soda (i know its bad but I'm limiting myself to one now and again)
S - more almonds or 1/2 avocado..havent decided, I'm at work
D - dont know but I'm gonna keep it to no more than 5 carbs total

ciao~

215 on Sunday, that makes 8 lbs gone for January! Very good for my first month and losing on the weekend, unheard of! LOL I seemed to have eaten alot on Sunday, almost 2000 cals but under 70 carbs (I ate alot of dry roasted almonds..yum). So that brings us to today... 216.

Todays goal: 1100 cals/25 carbs
B- 2 scrambled eggs, green tea, 2 slice bacon
L- chicken and sour cream, 1/8 wedge of cabbage, green tea
S- almonds or yo cheese
D- chicken and sour cream, cabbage

Excercise - 60 minutes

Believe in yourself

55 mins on the Wii last night! I tried Dance revolution but I need more coordination and need to read the instructions next time. I will be adding more ab work as my next goal, something that doesnt hurt my back. I need to go back to deep water areobics. At least I'm starting to exercise everyday and that's the BIG goal!

215 this morning. Today is the last day of a month on my new woe plan. Tommorrow I weigh in and calc a month's loss. Starting was the hard part but now it's getting easier as I go and more consistant. My body is learning to burn the foods I'm eating. Seems if i keep food the same i see a loss. And of course writing everything i eat and do down in my little book! This way I can see throughout the day how much I've eaten, what I can eat and keep track of what works. It works!

Ok, but I've ditched some friends and outings for the last month only cuz I know it would have been too difficult for me to stay on plan. I did have 2 days off.. one for a bday party and ate lots of chocolate and bread... the second was an evening of drinking and chili. All is well

214 this morning. I've been working out everynight on my Wii and I love it. I'm sore but I know it's what i need to do! 52 mins last night Yoga, Strength training and areobics.

I cant believe that most days I am able to keep my carbs mostly below 30. Its hard for me cuz I love fruit and veggies and I've been avoiding them mostly. I know when the season kicks in I will have to adjust my food. I can eat 60ish carbs/day but have to eat low fat. So it's either protein and fat and few carbs, or low fat and fruit and veggies. Both work really well by itself, it's all in the combination of foods and what you can eat and when and with what other food.

Food is tricky. Find what works for you and stick with it.

Have to go to a baby shower tomorrow with people that make lots of sweets and carb full foods. I'll bring my own snacks and leave quickly after it's over! ahhhh! No way to avoid this party.

Low carb'n baby!

It's the end of the weekend and I managed well enough. Got through a baby shower without eating any sugars and under 30 carbs for the entire day, and today staying around 50 carbs. Love my avocado's every day just wish they'd always be a buck ea. That's about it of my exciting weekend. Staying to myself, getting stuff done, focusing where i need it most.

211 both Sat and Sun! YEAH! A lost remote hindered my Saturday exercises, but I worked out Friday and got 82 mins total today.

214 this morning... ugh! I know what it was... it was the stinkin' cheese I ate yesterday. I ate it for breakfast, lunch and dinner!! I knew better cuz it seems to stall me. Darn it, I was losing so good for a week..but it was so delicious! I will back away from it for another couple weeks.

Had some coffee with my fave carb-creamer today. Still under 35 carbs today so far..so all should be good. It's good to zigzag my carbs/cals..so I'm counting yesterday and today for that then back to strictness the rest of the week incl the weekend.

*be good to you

212 this morning, back in the swing of things I hope. And this is what it took to get back to that! LOL Last night I was a playing fool! 55 mins hardcore tennis and boxing with my own dancing inbetween so I wasnt just standing there waiting. THEN I did 68 mins of balance games, yoga, strength training and aerobics. I'm loving the 10 min step. I put on my own music and stepped my brains out! I was being careful on my back so I focused on building my core strength.

Today back eating under 30 carbs. Must remember to drink more water.

208 this morning.

I've been having major hunger yesterday and this morning. I just dont feel satisfied, or at least thats what I was telling myself. I was munching like crazy last night.. chicken and sour cream, bite of cottage cheese, yogurt, beef stick, and those yummy dry roasted almonds I cant get enough of (I must quit buying those)! I really wanted something sweet but managed to not have anything (good for me!). Didnt stop me from looking in the frigerator every ½ hr and thinking all the things I could fix.. tortillas with apples and cinnamin and butter, honey and tortillas... enough already!!

This morning I am still craving. A cup of coffee sounds really good! I've been staying away from coffee cuz i love so much creamer in it and those cals/carbs add up FAST and if I drink it daily my weight loss is stalled. I gave into this urge this morning. 3 CUPS! Tons of cream, a little hazelnut creamer.. total 25 carbs and probably 300 calories! Oh and... 3 eggs and ¼ cup those tastey dry roasted almonds. Crap! Ok, I'm over it now. Repeat... I'm over it now!! At least I didnt give in to my large DQ Choco/Vanilla Swirl Ice Cream Cone urge, but boy did I think about that alot last night!

So this means, low cal and 0 carb the rest of the day...egads! I can do it!

Besides all that, I fell asleep on the couch last night without exercising! Lots to catch up to do today.

*Dont give in, stay strong

208 again. It's ok. I know it will move, hopefully down. Ive been wanting to eat alot. I had almost 2000 cals yesterday and 45 carbs. Is that good/bad? I try and stay less than 1200 cals/30-carbs.

I gave into coffee and cream again this morning but I bypassed the donuts with cream cheese frosting. You know how effing hard that was!! ..but I did it, yeah!! <big sigh>

60 mins Wii last night, 30ish% of that was step areobics. Need to get in more aerobics and keep my heart rate up. I wish I wouldnt get sick when I take deep water areobics cuz I'd love to go back. All those germs seem to get me. Wii is making my core stronger, but I have a long way to go. I just need to be aware of my neck/back and not to hurt it where I have to quit again.

I'm hoping to be a pound down tommorrow but I dont know how cuz I've been eating like a cow...moooooooo! My tummy hurts.

I'm confident I can stay with my new WOE right now I just need to get through this tough time. I have something to do personally and I cant seem to get it done, its tying my mind down. Quit procrastinating and do it! It will be worse if I dont and I know it. I'm stressed.

*just do it, dammit!

207.. wow no loss for 5 days. If I eat low carb/cal today I should be down 1# in the morning. For the last week Ive kept it 30-40 carbs (3 days) the rest was under 20. Calories were a bit higher on more days then I wanted, so I need to figure it out and correct it. I have my daily journal I write all my food and activities in and that's the only thing that keeps me on track. The moment or day I dont write food down is the day I go COE. It's easy to get off track.

Forgot to exercise last night, can you believe it! I watched The Changling (i'd give it 2.5 out of 5 stars) last night, then got on the computer.. next thing I knew it was 11pm! It was a long dang movie and evendently I got carried away on the internet..ha!

I work this weekend, have to be there at 630a both sat and sun. Normally I dont get out of bed til 7a so this will be tough! I'll get some walking in and lots of stress, it's training weekend.

*keep yourself accountable

Wow, what happened? Where did I go? Life has been hell emotionally! I weighed in at 213 today.. WTH!! I havent really ate too much, just differently. Cant get off of peanut butter and honey, and those damn almonds are addicting. Think almonds trigger cravings! Oh yeah, had coffee and cream for a week... another culprit! But nothing other than that! I hate my body!
