vomited vitamins? (TMI? sorry!)

I've been taking vitamins pretty much since I started this WOE 5 months ago. For the last month or so, my caloric intake has been low, under 1000, because I have no appetite. My standard procedure is to take them first thing in the morning, with a full12 oz glass of water, while cooking my breakfast. Twice now in the last month, I've taken them, and within 10 minutes, had to run to the bathroom where I threw them up. Has anyone experienced this? Any advice? Yesterday I waited until after lunch to take them, to see if that would help. I take 3 psyllium capsules, 2 magnesium, 1 Vit D, 1 multi, 1 potassium. Thanks!

Vitamins - esp those with iron can make people nauseous on an empty stomach. I'd eat breakfast first and then take them. You can also split half after bfast and half after lunch.

I get really bad reflux at night from some vitamins. I found an all natural brand that doesn't upset my stomach at all. (Called Rainbow Light)

This has happened to me, but not lately. It was during a time when I wasn't eating much. I think vitamins can be harsh on an empty stomach, so taking them after eating would likely help---- it's what I started doing.

My vitamins specifically say to take 'with food.' I have to take them later in the day, so since there's food in my stomach, I can tolerate them whether I take them with food or not.

But I would NOT take them on an empty stomach in the morning. Take them WITH your breakfast.

I suspect it's the B vitamins in your multi. They often cause nausea and vomiting if not taken with food and even sometimes with food if it's not enough. I'd look into switching to a whole food multi because those are much easier on the stomach. Coenzymate B is another good choice.

I get weary of vitamins after a while and my body starts to reject them. I stagger taking them at night before bed, and taking them in the morning between bites of food.
