Question about vitamin D3.

My doctor has me taking 10,000 I.U.'s each week and the ingredients are gelatin, soybean oil, glycerin, water, corn oil and vitamin d3. Will this kick me out of ketosis?? Does anyone have any experience with taking it?

I have been taking this all along and have been in ketosis for the whole time. The benefits of D3 are amazing, and definitely worth taking. I get the tiny capsules which have 5000 units each, so I only have to take 2. Even that amount of pure sugar doesn't have enough carbs to worry about!

Is that an Rx? Those are horrible ingredients - fillers. I doubt it will kick you out of ketosis but I would not take it because of the soy & corn oil being unhealthy for anyone.

Carlson DDrops are a better option.

I'm going to check with the pharmacy and see if there are any manufacturers that don't have those ingredients.

I take Biotech brand dry vitamin D2, it's a powder in a clear capsule. My doctor prescribes it and I get it filled at the Kroger pharmacy (the only pharmacy near me that carries it - and I'm a city girl). I get in in 50,000 iu doses, and it's so cheap it costs less than my lowest co-pay (which is $10 - I pay $7 and change).
