Omega 3 (fish oil) fishy taste
 

Is there something to take to get the fish oil benefits but not the fishy taste?

I use enteric coated Now brand ultra omega-3(dissolves in small bowel instead of stomach, supposedly) ...I have had no problem with smell...some will freeze their capsules so they don't dissolve as easily in stomach, to avoid smell...I'm sure others will offer sugestions.

I find if I take the fish oil capsules with COLD water, while eating something, and don't have any warm/hot food or drink during a period before and after that, I am fine almost all the time. anything warm gets the fish burping going!

I now take Mega-Red Krill oil. I use to take a fish/flax combo pill and didn't have any problems until one day I burped it :sick:.

Put them in the freezer and take them before you go to bed.

I take a fix, flax, borage combo - I've never had any problem with fish burps - but since I started low carb I rarely, if ever, burp anyway.

Coromega packets. I love them. No pills and no fishy taste.

I take cinnamon at the same time. It masks the fish oil.

I second this. I like the Walgreens brand Mega red krill. Of course I can't tell you if it actually does anything for me. It's hard to quantify the benefits of a supplement like this. But at least I DO NOT TASTE IT. :up:
