Glucosamine/Chondroitin
Does anyone have any suggestions on good brands of these? I've heard that some are a waste of $$$. I had a tear in my knee repaired 2 weeks ago and my doctor mentioned them - not that I had to take them but I might want to look into those supplements.....

The current medical opinion (I am not a doctor) is that it may or may not work. For some people, there appears to be a positive effect. For others, there is no change.
Best advice is try it for a month. If you feel better, continue using it. If not stop |

My bil noticed a difference when he changed from the Sam's club brand. I'm not sure what he's using now. Brands do, apparently, make a difference with this supplement.

I take Dona Glucosamine, which is a prescription here but not in the US. I think it helps, but can't really be sure without stopping it to see the difference. It was prescribed by the orthopaedic surgeon instead of having surgery which he didn't think I was ready for yet, LOL.
