B12 with lipotropics

B12 with lipotropics injections. Has anyone ever heard of this? They are doing this at a walk-in med clinic around here. I have known people who have had B12 shots when they were run down, but not the lipotropics. They claim it helps with fat metabolism. What do you think?

I called the clinic, but I didn't find out what brand they use. They charge $250 for 30 days. You get an injection every 72 hours. I have never heard of this before. Does it work?

I've read that B-12 injections are really only useful for those who are deficient. As for if the lipotropic is myoden, there's not a significant amount of clinical research that says it's reliably effective but there are some people who do lose weight on it. If it were significantly reliable for a sigificant number of people it would be huge headlines.

So in the end, that's a lot of money to spend in a month for b-12 shots and something that is a huge question mark.

I do take supplmental b-12 and it does have a strong scientific backing that it helps energy levels and I do feel it after I take them vs. when I don't. Plus, it helps reduce water retention if you have that problem. I would say if you don't have any drugs that would be negatively affected by it, try taking a nice balanced vit.B supplement daily and see if it helps your energy- if you have increased energy the more energy you have to exercise and be more active which will ultimately help you become healthier and possibly kick the weight loss back into gear.

Hope this helps and keep your chin up!

I haven't tried HCG because I'm afraid I can't go that low in calories. Did you use the drops or the shots?

i have used them all!! RX injections and sublingual, HHCG drops and pellets, LOL but my first round was with the homeopathic drops i used Mediral then but they don't make it any more it was the best! hardly any hunger great losses did have some morning sickness and scared my DH to death LOL Intermountain ones from netrition (should be a blue link in this post) are pretty good too and don't have the alcohol taste some of them do

no pressure but if it is something you want to look into i do have an e book that has a plan with 800 calories a day that some have tried and liked i have never tried it.. i do mostly by Dr S's POUNDS AND INCHES available free on the web (500 calories or thereabout a day)and if i do get hungry on a day i go ahead and have an extra serving of protein and that takes care of it LOL
i sound like i am preaching but it really was a miracle finding it for me
i wish you could find those B12 shots cheaper though that was a CRAZY amount of money and they really really helped me have you asked your regular doctor about maybe weekly B12 shots for a while?? they absorb better than thew pills and with B12 if you don't need it , it is water soluble and your body will just eliminate what it doesn't need
IDK about the lipotropics though but dang that seems outrageous on the price

hey a google search brought this up

Contact your physician and ask him if he would consider prescribing lipotropic injections for weight loss.

Good luck whatever you decide
