Was your diabetes type 1? My DD is 11 and was diagnosed last year as a type 1 diabetic. Would love for her to be done with insulin for good! I know that type 2 is totally different than her type 1.

Just as I thought. I have the book Wheat Belly and am in the midst of reading it. She has other auto-immune issues we are dealing with and going gluten free should help those. Well, at least we hope! Thanks for the suggestion on the book.

Read the book "Diabetes Solution" by Dr Bernstein. You cannot really stop type 1 as the pancreas does just quit working, but you can save the rest of her pancreas cells (I don't think that is the right term but it is as close as I can remember) so that when they do create a cure or artificial pancreas you will have some in reserve. Anyhow, Dr Bernstein is a type 1 doctor and has seen remarkable results in his patients with type 1 who follow his plan. My problem is trying to get an 11 yr old girl to follow his strict rules. No pizza??!! No corn dogs??!! No fruit??!! The horror!!! You would think the world was ending when I asked if she wanted to do that But I hope to win her over eventually! Seeking to go grain free is hard enough!

Stats: sizes 18/6 calling goal!
WOE: JUDDD
Start Date: June 2012
I have been taking it for 130 days total loss is 20 lbs and 3 sizes but that happened early on and I have just been maintaining since the 3rd week. The reason I continue to take it is because it helps my blood sugar stay stable and my thoughts are clearer. I eat whatever I want and still do not gain and I know its because of the RK.

ok...I've been away from my posting & I'm sorry for it, but I was away from home working for the past many days...
Here's my update:

while I was away, I had forgotten to bring my RK pills, so I missed taking them for over a week. During this time I also had stopped Atkins due to it being impossible to maintain Atkins when being fed by a catering service who's main ingredient for any meal is carbs carbs and more carbs I tried to be good, but failed miserably as I was starving .
Needless to say when I finally made it home, I had regained each and every horrid ounce
That was 3 days ago & I've been religiously taking my RK again for 3 days, but not doing Atkins yet as I haven't had time to shop for more protein....stepped on the scale this morning just to see if maybe it may have moved...8 pounds GONE. I was shocked to say the least. I'm fairly certain this was nothing more than water weight caused by all the carbs I consumed over the past few weeks, but still ...8 pounds gone in any form makes me smile!
I'm going to stick with eating normally, exercising & just taking RK for the next two weeks and see what happens. I'll keep posting!!

Idk, I am scared not to take them, but I do wonder how long we are supposed to take them or if there is a maintenance amount to take once goal size is reached.

I just heard on the radio this evening where someone is offering $5 per pound of weight loss to do a trial with raspberry ketones. You just follow your regular diet and take one before each meal. They talked about how it was mentioned on Dr. Oz, etc. I'm not calling them. I just thought it was interesting and funny. I forgot the name of the people doing this.

Joining this thread - interesting - would like to read some more results ...

I've put a bottle of RK (Healthy Origins: Razberi-K, Raspberry Ketones, $10.49) in my Netrition cart - won't place my order for at least another couple of weeks - anyone try this brand?

I am a long-time low-carber, and current am also doing hcg - but still fight hunger at times - hoping RK might help.

Hi all. For me, the RK did not work. I took them for 5 days and all I saw was an increase in blood pressure. I had to discontinue them. The ones I purchased were from Sam's.

I love these and I have found them to be very good.

I take 200mg a day with a meal, I just wish I could find more of them.

I buy at Holland and Barrett and they sell out as soon as they come in

My weight loss has sped up again, like when I first low carbed.

After two weeks or so of taking it it seemed to start working. From what Dr Oz said it is suited to a high fat/low carb diet.

I have tried everything else, Acai, African mango, green tea extract etc. They never had an effect for me.

Hi. I am curious to see for those of you that take RK did you notice any difference in your sex drive? I took RK for 5 days but discontinued it because it caused an increase in my blood pressure. During the 5 days I was taking the RK, I noticed my sex drive increased. Now that I am no longer taking it, it has diminished again. Just curious.

Ha Ha. It must have not affected anyone else this way because no one has posted. That was the only thing that I did different.

My sister started taking these and she said her appetite is suppressed and her mouth is a little dry which makes her want to drink more. She's happy with it so far.

I wonder if the RK that I was taken (bought at Sam's Club) at zinc in it. I will have to check my bottle.

I can be your next guinea pig for the RK
this weekend I got the Phytogenix Labs RK which does have green tea, but I've never had a problem w/' green tea before
I meant to start today, but I ran out of the house late this morning and forgot them
(I usually eat breakfast here at work, I'm one of those people who can't eat when they first wake up)

I've been "South Beach" phase one for four weeks now (LOL) I should just change my stated diet to LC, and leave it at that

in four week's prior to taking the RK I've lost 9lbs
I try to get 30min of some kind of exercise in at least three to four times a week
