Way too much time on my hands!
|
B12
i needed energy. i take the following: multi-vitamin w/o iron (3 x a day), b complex (whih has 500 mg of C as well) 3 x a day, chromium piccolinate (200 mcg)3 x a day, plus my pharmaceuticals. Wikipedia stated that those of us who take metformin, which i do (1000mg 2 x a day), may have inadequate levels of b12. So i got a bottle of 60 tablets 1500mcg each. So, here is the question: Is that too high a dosage or too low a dosage? I am 60 years old (as time is measured here on Earth), 5'6", and 299.2 lbs.(i re-inducted at 372.8 lbs). To those of u who are knowledgeable in these matters, I would really appreciate your input. I will take one of these a day, until I hear differently. Love & Profits: FLATFERENGHI

1.5mg of B12 is not out of line for what I have seen in other supplements. It is way above the RDI and RDA but we know how out of wack those #'s can be. If the B12 form is cyanocobalamin, note that when the body processes it, a molecule of cyanide is released, which the body must then detoxify to eliminate.
