Fiber Gummies- YUM!

Holy moly, these things are soooooo tasty! I was taking psyllium capsules. Blah, blah, boring. And taking 10-15 a day was getting expensive and I didn't really see much of a difference. Ran out, went to Target, saw their generic brand of Fiber Gummies- 2 gummies have 10 calories, 5 carbs, 5 fiber, so basically 0 net carbs. And the taste...HEAVEN for this girl's sweet tooth! I'm going to take enough to compensate fiber from food each day and get me to a total of 25g fiber, and see if there's a difference. But popping one or two after a meal is seriously like having candy. Anyone else have experience with these?

Didn't know about these but I just looked them up and now I'm seriously tempted to get some I'm so happy to see xylitol on these, not the dreaded maltitol/isomalt!

Babykinz- They are so good, that I could probably eat the whole bottle of 90 in a sitting. However, what stops me is knowing that if I did, my intestines would probably blow up like a balloon from all that fiber and I'd explode. My husband is too busy remodeling our house to clean my innards off the walls and ceiling, so I stick to 2-4 a day, depending on how much fiber I've eaten.

I just got the last 3 bottles my target had and yes, they are potentially addictive good, if you are that way inclined. They taste like regular fruit gummies. Sweetened just right, nice and chewy like the real deal. And they are a nice large size!

They might be self limiting though because of the polydextrose fiber
I'm stopping at 2 today to see how I react. I have had polydextrose before but in very small quantities, so I'm taking this one slowly!

But even at a couple a day I would be a happy girl, because they really are like candy and I feel like I'm getting a treat

I feel the same way....like I'm getting a naughty treat! I get all giddy when it's time to have one. Hubby thinks I'm insane....but that probably can't be entirely contributed to fiber gummies.

FYI: After taking these for just a couple of days, I'm seeing a huge difference over the psyllium (which basically did nothing for me). Fiber gummies are keepers! Just need to find somewhere that sells them in bulk, because I'm eating 4-5 a day to get to 25g fiber....

COSTCO carries Fiber Gummies also but I am going to check Target to see if they may be a better price. I don't recall what I paid so I'll check next time I'm there to compare.

Thanks for the heads-up about Target.

Ok, so the vitafusion gummies are $16.49 for 220 at our Costco. The Target 90 gummies bottle was $8.99 as compared to the Vitafusion 90 count bottle of $12.49.
So, Costco works out $4.40 cheaper than the Target brand and $14.04 compared to the vitafusion brand at Target prices!

Now let's hope that Costco keeps on carrying it
One note of warning though - these melt easier than other regular gummies. In the hotter states, don't leave them in the trunk of your car for any length of time

I've learned that if COSTCO quits carrying a particular item I ask them to please re-stock it and so far they have been helpful that way. I had that problem with the macadamias they carry and most of the time they have them in stock (they are very popular items).

Though, just in case I might check the exp. date and buy a couple of bottles to keep on hand.

How do I not know of these little yummies?

Any other vits in them, or just fiber?

Phos4Us- Thanks for the heads up about the heat situation. From the looks of it, a lot of people on this thread are in areas of hellacious heat!

And I must sing the praises of these wonderful little things once again. They have been a lifesaver for me. Might be worth getting a Costco membership over....

Gina- the label on the Target brand only lists fiber.

Are ALL these made with polydextrose? Even the smallest amount of that stuff causes me to be most unfit for human company. Heck, even the cats leave the room!

7doghouse: Gelatin is the 3rd ingredient behind polydextrose and xylitol.

Charski: Thank god it doesn't affect me like that! Because these little gems do exactly what I want them to do, and I'd be more than likely to hand out gas masks to the family than give up my daily gummy treats!

This doesn't have much to do with the topic at hand but......

One of my coworkers calls gummy bears "sugar hooves."
