Fawn? A Vitamin D3 question
so, the bottle of Equate Calcium Citrate and+D
has cholecalciferol. Is this the right form of it? I googled and found this... should the supplement have Calcitriol? I would think so since it's "active" ? ![]() Cholecalciferol, (sometimes called calciol) is an inactive, unhydroxylated form of vitamin D3) Calcifediol (also called calcidiol, hydroxycholecalciferol, or 25-hydroxyvitamin D3, and abbreviated 25(OH)D) is one of the forms measured in the blood to assess vitamin D status[3] Calcitriol (also called 1,25-dihydroxyvitamin D3) is the active form of D3. |

calcitriol has a relatively high possibility of inducing hypercalcaemia than cholecalciferol. 1,25-Dihydroxycholecalciferol - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia It's also man-made Rocaltrol (Calcitriol) Drug Information: User Reviews, Side Effects, Drug Interactions and Dosage at RxList I'd stick with the natural cholecalciferol Vitamin D Council Glossary C |
