Vitamin D Serum? How does it differ from normal Vitamin D Supplements?

Hello everyone.

I was just curious if anybody knew what Vitamin D3 Serum was all about. A family friend of mine told me that he ordered this little bottle of 'Vitamin D Serum' because it's a "rich, live source for the healthiest natural vitamin D3". Frankly, I don't really know what the difference is between this stuff and just plain ole Vitamin D.

In my opinion, you should just get your Vitamin D from food sources and the sun, it's pretty easy to do, even though some people suffer from a deficiency. Any thoughts on why this stuff is better or any different? I need to arm myself with some info, because I will be meeting up with him later tonite.

Thanks, in advance.
