What's your favorite brand of Fish Oil/Omega-3?

Hello everyone.. I take a EPA/DHA supplement pretty much everyday. Right now, I just take the generic brand found at my store, but I know that's probably not the best quality.

Is there a specific brand that you'd recommend, that I may be able to find in my area? {Hempstead, TX} If not buy at a local store, maybe order online? Although, I'd personally prefer to buy it at the store.

Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks.. in advance.

I have been using Carlson Lemon Flavor fish oil for the last couple of months and have been very happy with it. Been taking one tablespoon a day. No funky flavor and no fish burps.

The only down side is that it is a liquid and should be refrigerated it is not overly convenient.

I like Carlson's Lightly Lemon in capsule form - they can be bought online at several sources and probably also purchased locally. My 18 month old daughter eats them like candy - she whines until she gets "her vitamins". We also have a couple of bottles of the oil, but as mentioned above, the downside is refrigeration. The capsules - that is not a constraint.

Not trying to be nosy, but are those safe for your baby? If nothing else, wouldn't they be a possible choking hazard?

I take Carlson's capsules, too, since I read (on these boards actually) that they are a very pure and reliable product.

Hi Lauren - Reasonable question - in our situation, I'm comfortable - we're CPR trained from apnea scare when she was born and we've watched her very carefully on this one.

She's 18 months has back molars, and eats them at the table with us (I give her 2 in a vitamin cup) - big grin then chomps on them as the oil squirts. She's a very particular and fussy eater. We carefully watch her with cherry tomatoes, grapes, cheese, other small foods, gnawing on whole apples, in case of choking. She's only allowed to eat food at the table (excluding the apple which I sometimes bring to grocery store with us to avoid her wanting something else and screaming MIIIIIIIIIINE as we do a tug of war with salad dressing ).
