Coenzyme Q10

Any reason LCers specifically should take it? I can get some on sale this week for $.99/bottle.

Don't know about the LC angle. I take mine cause of the bad gene pool I'm swimming in....heart disease and high cholesterol<---on statin(somewhere I read statins decrease your levels too)....
I believe it's also supposed to be good for gum health as well.

It is important for energy within cells, tissues, and organs. It is good for your heart and helps migraines. It assists metabolism. The older we get the less our body produces. A bunch of studies suggest it slows cancer, heart disease, and Parkinson's. Never read much about side effects from it. It all sounded good to me so I take it.

What kind is it? It might not be such a bargain if it's not softgels and not the Ubiquinol form.

I think everyone can benefit from it- it facilitates enzymes in every cell of the body. It is an antioxidant and as we get older our body's supply of it gets smaller. There have been studies where it helped with cancer treatment, Parkinson's, weight loss.

It is softgels, but not sure about the other bit -- it only says "in natural, highly bioavailable form."

I started taking COQ10 for a healthy heart ... but, I found out (accidentally) that it also helps me with my hip and knee pain. After doing some reading, it seems that it also works to help with joint pain.

I've heard people say that even if they sometimes forget to take all of their other vitamins, they never forget to take CoQ10 !

I took a pill for the first time this morning and now I feel dizzy. Is this normal?

I took it with coffee and fish oil, which might be contributing. CoQ10 is a blood coagulant and fish oil is a blood thinner. And coffee has caffeine. I don't know what to think.

I remember freeling "strange" after taking CoQ10 also. Never tried it again. I can't remember exactly what happened as it's been a few years. Wish I could take it though when I read how good it's supposed to be for you.
