Hey Metqa! Do you know the formula for figuring this out? If ya do...please share. I agree with you totally here. I think it's possible to reset your metabolism if you don't eat enough, your body then goes into starvation mode and any little extra you do eat your body stores as fat. Perhaps this is the reason all these fitness experts say it's a good idea to indulge every so often to keep your body guessing. Thanks!

chic, what makes it bad about being sick yesterday is I woke up feeling good enough to meet Tom at the park and actually walk with him on his lunch hour. It was on the way home I started feeling really sick.I agree with having a cheat meal at times. I usually drop a couple pounds when I do as long as I dont overdo it and its just an "occasional" cheat meal

I didnt learn anything at my evaluation. he said hes not allowed to tell me anything but I am entitled to a copy he sends to workers comp, but I have to call them and request it in 2 weeks

Kim, what time do you go? I had to reschedule my appt for Tuesday also. I go at 1pm

Gotta go get my baby Hailey, be back later

I use the Exrx calculators to figure it out. I put all my stats, height weight, ages and gender, but I put the activities at 24hours of resting, absolutely nothing. that give me what I minimally need to literally lie about all day. I figure if I eat less than that I'm doing myself a disservice. then I put my activities in and try to get an idea of a range of calories from my most boring days to my most exciting days.

Thanks for the link Metqa! Once I know just how much I weigh and what my height is in inches I'll be able to plug it all in. Does anyone know how tall 5'6 is in inches?

Good morning ladies and gent's! I ordered from netrition NOW Borage oil 1050 mg (120 softgels) and liquid CLA Plus with Clarinol 3.5 g CLA. It is the nastiest tasting stuff!!! It taste like a mixture of fish and plastic. How do you all stomach the taste? I have taken the CLA and have read that you need atleast 3 hours difference before taking the GLA, is that correct.

Hi Fonda, Its ok to take the cla and borage oil at the same time. the 3 hour split if for any other oils like fish or flax. Thats too much oil at one time for your body to absorb so some will be expelled as waste. The liquid cla is nasty lol but I always add 3 packets of True orange (found near the sweeteners) to the bottle and shake it real good. it helps alot. They also have it in true lemon. Then I add my cla to milk and I hardly taste it at all. I also take mine at night so there is no burping issues. Hope this helps

Thanks I appreciate the information. I have a lot of stomach and am willing to take the nasty stuff if it works! I am exercising 4-5 days a week, but hasn't done "many wonders" for my stomach area. I have read many success stories over the last year on the CLA/GLA threads, I am hoping I will be one of those stories in the near future.

I may have to take them to take mine at night too because I keep having the tast in my mouth and it makes me gag!

Trish, I told my students about you, being "The Crusher" They were very Impressed with your position.

I shared your story since we were talking about economics and jobs. I hope you don't mind. The phrase we were studying was "I will survive"

I dont mind a bit metqa. It amazes me as I sit there and watch the stone go through the crusher that those rocks are paying everyones salaries. Its hard to comprehend. I really do love my job and although I am enjoying some time off right now, I will be going bonkers in a couple months if I dont get called back till next year

Just call me "Crusher Woman"

Go 2 lights past the college on 68, then turn left. There is a Marathon station there on the left and an equipment place on the right. Turn right at the stop sign and its just a couple places down on the right. There is a big sign there, you cant miss it. Big victorian house, very pretty. Go in the front door where the porch is checkered. I think you will like Erin, shes very sweet. She even gives you a neck massage when she washes your hair

Sounds like you are doing really well on getting the weight down Trisha. Whatever you are doing, keep going.

It's a Saturday night and my DH has been working a double so he's been gone ALL day. I feel like a single mother today. We had a really great time though. Took my boys to see a movie. Can I just say $$$! Why on earth does it cost so dang much to go??? I usually don't complain about the cost of things but for some reason I get ticked at movie prices! Took the boys out for a hamburger afterwards and then came home to splash in the pool. They are out cold now from a busy day running around. Now I wish I had my DH to cuddle up with. It's okay....I have my cuddly LAP TOP!

Hope you all are having a nice weekend.

chic, I guess we are lucky here. We have the same movies at our little theater that the big expensive ones have and ours is $1.00 for the early shows and just $3.00 for the evening shows. New releases too

I'm surprised they havent raised their prices by now. if they did, alot of people wouldnt be able to afford to go. Thats about the only entertainment we have around here

We have a theater that is either $2 or $3, for the older movies - new releases or most theaters run between $6-$9. I enjoys going to the drive in, right now 3 movies for $10 carload.

I love the dollar theatre. It's the best value, even worth the wait. I don't have to see it New Release, and I save $6 off the regular theatre.

Fonda, we still have 1 drive-in theater here. we used to have such a good time sneaking people in the truck for free when it was per person

good afternoon metqa

Its nasty out. rain.... rain.... and more rain the next 3 days. Then into the 80's for a couple days.
Our bedroom 32 inch TV went out so we had to go buy a new one today , but I gotta have one to get to sleep. It was only a couple years old !!!
