Ok, I dont know what I am doing wrong now, but I have not cheated at all, and I am back up to 205 . I'm going to start logging everything I eat and drink and see if I can figure it out

Kim, if you can, order from Netrition, it really is cheaper and you may like the liquid cla better. If you want, I can order some for you in our next order and meet you in town to get it to you, maybe at Tumbleweed ?

Metqa - Hey, you life is way more fun than mine! LOL If I posted on daily life it would be, "Weell, made breakfast for the girls, vacuumed, washed clothes, packed dishwasher, started dishwasher, started class, fixed lunch, unpacked dishwasher and began packing again, started class, finished class, talked to hubby on phone, made supper, got kids clean, put kids in bed with prayers, crawled in bed myself, sat awake forever, feel asleep for a few hours, got up and did it all again. Now, see why your life is fun!?

Chick - Life treats me well. My girls, thank God, are healthy and avoided the flu this year. Hubby is grumpy, due to a lymph system thing around his stomach, so he is not so much being kind to any of us. I am sure that will change soon. School finishes during the first week of May. Each child did great! (Brag, brag, brag) How is you life going? Boys doing well? DH treating you good?

Howdie everyone!
Although I'm sorry to hear about the condition of your hubby, I'm happy to hear that you and the girls are doing good!

I'm just plugging away. Upped my iron intake and I am feeling better. I ran 5 miles today in prep for running another 5K race on Saturday. I haven't registered yet but I will hope to get to it today. I was feeling a bit depressed for the last 2 days and now I know why....I hadn't ran due to being really busy doing other things. For those dealing with low moods, I can't stress it enough how much physical activity takes care of this issue and may diminish it for good with some. It has kept me happy and away from depression related issues that would have possibly required me to take meds so far!

Hope to see ya back on here again soon and hope you are having a great day.

Hey everyone. The weight loss stuck, so far. I hope more comes off though. Last time, the scale actually moved up, instead of down, while I was on CLA/GLA; however, I did have some loss by way of inches (which is what counts).

Chic - Thanks for looking me up on FB!

ADLMA - Thanks, and I actually woke up feeling better than yesterday. I did go to physical therapy (still for my feet), but I didn't do all of the exercises due to still feeling weak and out of balance. (I'm thinking this could be an inner ear infection.)

Your life sounds a whole lot more interesting than mine, especially since you get to be with your girls.

Trish - I agree that it may be water weight.

Kimlou - Glad you finally found what you needed.

Phil - I hope your knee is feeling better.

Tom - Whatcha going to do with the radishes?

Metqa - Did the varmant come back yet? LOL

Hello,

I stumbled on the original thread from 2006 and became entranced! When I was at a Vitamin World a few months ago looking for some L-Carnitine, the clerk told me about the cla/gla combo and how his mom was doing Atkins and began losing more when she started that combo. I figured he was just trying to sell me something so I declined.

After reading through that thread and peeking in here, I stopped at Walmart after work and picked up Tonalin (1000mg) and Borage Oil (500mg). So, is this how I do it?

Take up to 5 of the Tonalin per day, 2-4 of the Borage Oil per day, all preferably with a meal or protein.

Is it okay to take the two oils together or spread them all out over the course of the day?

Thanks for the info.

MMof2 - I am so glad you are doing better!

Chic - You are such a positive person, you will always be plugging away!

Lori - I have thyroid issues and take the combo. My doc knows about it too. You may still want to check with our doc to make sure. It was all good with me!

Hi guys! I haven't started my combo yet, I ordered the liquid CLA because there was just no way I was going to get those darn pills down even if my life depended on it so I'm heading off to my mail box this morning to check and see if it has arrived. I sure hope so!!! I can't wait to start. I tried on my swimsuit from last summer and looked like a freaking tube sausage in it and started to cry, so I'm really excited about this! I'm going to take some measurements too.

lori 121 - I read in another forum just recently about taking the combo if you have a thyroid problem and a few ladies on there said they had a few problems when the took it with their thyroid medication, so they said their doctor told them to wait at least three hours in between taking the combo and your thyroid medication and things worked out great for them! She said the only problem they had was it interfering with their thyroid medication so make sure there's that time in between, other than that they had amazing results as well. I would still maybe check with your doc though just in case.

Have a great everyone!

You should see my password! Thanks for the welcome and for answering my questions.

I started last night with 2 CLA and 1 GLA. Today I'm on track with it all, just have 1 more of each to take. I'm opting to begin with 5 CLA and 4 GLA a day. I've only had very minor queasies , no other side effects yet. I'm mixing LC with JUDDD and took the pills with my protein shake. I certainly hopes this works as well for me as it seems to be doing for all of you!

Kim, put the liquid cla in some milk, it goes down alot better. I add a couple packets of "True Orange" (shelf with the sweeteners at krogers) to the bottle and it helps. I also take it right before I go to bed and I dont have any burp issues at all then. I feel the liquid really does work better so its worth a few seconds of

It used to have an sweet orangy taste to it, but when another company started making it, it got nasty & oily. I keep mine in the fridge too so its thicker,
and store it upside down so it mixes better.

Everyone who takes the liquid cla, remember to shake shake shake it !!!

Hello....

Okay, I just registered to run my 5K tomorrow! Hitting the sack early tonight so I can get up early. It's kind of strange how I'm actually looking forward to this.

Hope all is well with everyone.

Started the CLA/GLA combo on Tuesday, March 31st. My hips have been stuck at 40 inches since Thanksgiving. Today when I woke up (Friday), I noticed a major difference with a flatter tummy and slimmer lower torso. So grabbed a cloth measuring tape and got a reading of 37 ½ inches! Can't stop measuring myself today!

Oh Happy Day!

Tom, thanks you for all the wonderful meals you cook for us, and all the support you give me

Hi everyone,
I started back with the combo on Wed. 4/1. Yesterday I overate horribly think cheerios with milk at bedtime and way too many peanuts and pretzels. Anyway I woke up this a.m. with no water weight gain which is unheard of for me when I eat like that. I am not saying I wll use the combo to try to compensate for overeating but it has given me that little push today to get back on track and use it daily. In the past it has seemed to help me in losing inches in my mid-section. Jeanie

Yep, figure that one out after the first dose. I thought this is as bad a those darn prenatal vits I took while preggers. So I figured that one out real quick. And the burps ....last and last and last

Another visit to wally world this morning after the tanning bed resulted in another supp I take (for joints) Hydralonic acid... GONE... WTH is going on with wally world. Couldn't find it in Portsmouth or Maysville. Going to Mt.Sterling Monday will check there

We are taking mom to Horseshoe casino tomorrow and we got a room for the night (free) and stopping at trader Joes on the way. Gotta get some spicy flax chips. I need to visit the tanning bed myself , but the last couple years, the first time I go, I get an ugly itchy rash all over. It happened again when we went to Florida from the sun. I looked like I had a disease

Ima go outside and see if the grass has dried enough to mow. We are supposed to get alot of rain the next few days, and snow showers Monday and tuesday . Tuesdays high is only supposed to be 39 !!! Sunday in the 70's, and snow showers the next day...go figure

HEY! I like that.....Whittle your Middle! Perfect. Heh heh.

Okay......So I did it! I got up early this morning, had a small bowl of oatmeal and an egg white then threw on my running clothes. Grabbed my ipod and had DH and the kids drive me down to Seal Beach where I did the run. I felt great! I started off really strong and just kept going. It felt really good to pass up people that looked like they were in really good shape. I guess it's all about personal endurance. I'm waiting for my time results as they haven't been posted yet. I wasn't about to make my way thru the crowd that was hovering over the immediate posts at the race. I'm looking fwd to doing this again sometime soon.

Trisha....do you think your arches will ever get back to where you could maybe start jogging again?

Wishing everyone a great weekend!
