This weeks stats

Ok, so here it is Friday. Last Friday I had lost 5 lbs during last week. Today's stats are: Put that 5 lbs back on... how do you take off 5 lbs and then put it back on? I am still doing low carb, I'm in Ketosis, I am taking the combo... ugh! .. I'm frusterated, maybe it is my scale. It is a piece of crap.. or the optimistic side is maybe I put on 5 lbs. of muscle! Maybe it is just water weight. Hmmmm guess I will have to see in another week how it goes. I am going to up my borage oil to 3 a day. We'll see.

My humble opinion is.....those 5 lbs were actually more like water weight than anything else. Water is easy to gain and lose, while muscle and fat usually take longer, especially gaining muscle. Keep at it. You are on the right road!

We are here enjoying the sun. Yay. Greenejoy, that happens to me right before a 'whoosh'. Your fat cells fill with water then release taking some unwanted fat with it.

good morning. I worked some OT at the Riverfest last night and due to tornado warnings and thunderstorms so we weren't busy and was able to walk around for awhile. They had a free ice cream social and they were not stingy about how much they gave you, but I just kept walking. Ended up having a smoked turkey breast for $8! It was ok, but not worth $8!!!!

Looking forward to date night with hubby tonight. Still unsure of what we are doing, but we have never been ones to plan things out. I will be staying on plan though - looking/hoping for the scales to move down tomorrow when I weigh in.

Hope everyone in having a wonderful and safe weekend.

Hi Trisha...Things are going well, thanks for asking! Hope you are having a good time so far.

Today is going to be fun. We bought the boys a couple of charity rubber ducks. What they do is a big truck load goes on to the pier and dumps them into the ocean. First 1000 ducks or so that make it to the shore wins prizes. Proceeds go to the city's youth group activities. This is going to be a tradition for us...the boys get to name their ducks. We have Rowby and Yogi in the race!!! Go ducks!

Wishing ya'll a great weekend!

good morning! Last night was a late night and I did eat a few more carbs, but they were good carbs - broccoli and small salad w/ranch dressing, sirloin steak. I avoided the fresh baked rolls that they brought to the table, but my husband managed to eat all 3! While at the movies, I wanted popcorn but settled with store bought peppered beef jerky.

I was only able to get in 30 minutes on the fat burning program on the treadmill. We got home late and I did not want to get up this morning. The dinner and movie "12 Rounds" was nice a night away from the kids.

The scale moved DOWN finally 2 pounds!! I was hoping for more, but noticed the frozen meatballs I had eaten earlier in the week had fillers in it and was 5 g carbs per serving, and I ate the whole bag throughout the week . But I am not letting that get me down - the scale is finally moving again DOWN and I got into some jeans (22) yesterday that fit me and they actually looked good (or at least husband and I thought they did).

Yay Fonda!!! Congrats on the 2 lbs. Your doing great. You gotta watch those evil fillers, they will get you every time !!! It's rainy here now. We played 2 rounds of golf & went to the pool twice before the rain hit. They really need it here bad. Haven't taken any pics yet besides a fox we saw. But we will

I've gotta get some GLA since it's supposed to be taken with CLA for the best results. I'm down to a weight I think I can feel comfortable with for a while so I want to get back on the Combo and see if I can reshape some more. But I'm out of GLA. I don't wanna start taking the CLA by itself, though someone did mention it takes longer for one to take effect than the other? I should go back and read the posts unless someone can remember and enlighten me again?

Good morning everyone! I pushed my snooze 3 times again this morning (why do I do that????), but was able to get 35 minutes dones on the treadmill fat burning program. I had it set for 40 minutes but accidentally hit the emergency stop button several minutes before the time was up. I decided to shower and take a few extra minutes eating breakfast instead of hurrying before clocking in.

exercise: 35 minutes treadmill fat burning program
menu: mesquite chicken, sausage, sausage quiche muffins, water, tea, and maybe a diet pepsi later.

I take my GLA/CLA together in the evening - had to order some more CLA the other day.

Good morning everyone! It's going to rain here again the next few days. It followed us from Kentucky here! Hopefully it won't be an all day rain. Fonda, what program do you do on the treadmil?

It is called a Fat Burning Program. You input the maximum speed and maximum incline into the treadmill and it adjusts speed and incline throughout the workout. It is really a great workout. This week I input 3.9 speed and 5 on the incline, but am gradually moving it up (last week I put 3.7 speed with 5 incline).

example. For a few minutes you walk at 2.6 with an incline of 2, then it moves to 3.4 with an incline of 2, then 3.9 with an incline of 1...every few minutes it changes speed, incline or both. It is really great, because I used to change the speed but not the incline and was kind of bored with it. Now doin the changes makes it a great workout. I am really sweating when it is all done, but really feel like I got a workout afterwards.

That's a really good question. I'm interested in the answer to this as well. With my experience, it seemed to work the best when i was low carb eating and exercising.

***Interesting bit of info coming from someone who has been on and off the combo for about a year now.....I have found that I'm starting to shred more fat now that I'm off the combo (I still take the borage oil and fish oil) but have restarted taking Acetyle L-Carnatine/Alpha Lipoic Acid.

Also...it seemed that I got the BEST results on the first cycle of taking the combo. In other words, I lost the greatest amount the first time I was losing while taking the combo. I gained some weight back due to my own negligence and when I started to take it again....didn't seem to work the same.

good morning! Congratulations to all the losers! Today, I will go a little higher on my carbs but still stay under 20. We are having a pot luck dinner today at work and I made beef enchildas w/mama lupe low carb tortillas and banana split cake. Also on the list that people are bringing: mac and cheese, ham-potatos-green beans in crockpot, fried chicken, chips and dip, cherry pie, chicken-broccoli rice. I know I will have to be extra careful on the banana split cake - 'cause it is really addicting - and might set off cravings.

exercise: 40 minutes fat burning program on treadmill
menu: banana split cake, enchilda, and will have to check out what everyone brings and what extras they put in/on it.

still waiting on my order for CLA, ordered it on Friday and ran out on Saturday (I am a procrastinator). I checked at the whole foods store yesterday when I was buying almond flour and they carry the CLA capsules but not the liquid. May have to check them out if I can get them cheaper - I just hate taking all those pills, rather grit my teeth, close my eyes and drink it!

CLA/GLA but taking fish oil too....

I'm already taking CLA and Fish oil, but want to add in the GLA. How would I do that and benefit the most. I'm taking
Morning – Three Omega 3 softgels.
Two CLA softgels.
One 200 i.u. vitamin E.
Noon - Three Omega 3 softgels.
Two CLA softgels.

I got this from a website for weight loss and lowering leptin levels and it seems to be working. I have some Borage Oil I'd gotten before, and would love to add it in. Hope someone can advise me.

Ok, so the whole "no weighing" thing was getting OLD! I broke down and bought a scale tonight. I'll weigh myself in the morning and update my stats.

At least I went to Bed Bath & Beyond at 9:30pm so I didn't have to deal with crowds of people watching me test out scales and seeing how much I weigh!

Of course, I was fully clothed (duh), but I'm guessing that I'm back to my Christmastime weight. YAY! I'm so happy b/c I'm fighting against a medication which causes weight GAIN!

Now, if I can be back to my pre-Thanksgiving weight by the time I go to the beach, I'll be

I am hoping it will be here today, cause I ordered it Friday and they don't count the wknd for shipping, so either today or tomorrow.

I was able to drag myself out of bed and complete 30 minutes on the bike. Today is my normal Friday and I am tired. I forgot I have a training tomorrow 'cause I was thinking I could sleep in a little tomorrow since today is my son's last day of 2nd grade, but maybe on Friday I will be able to.

Excited to read about those who are getting their workouts in! I hit the kickboxing gym again today and am feeling stronger and stronger! I'm not as winded after a good class. I guess that just means my cardio is getting better. Did great on LCing yesterday and will continue today!

Wishing you all a great day!
