Sorry if you've already discussed this but how long are you going to be in FL for? Hopefully you'll get some sunshine and not rain there. I just love Florida weather. What does the family have planned for you tomorrow?

Tom has to work tomorrow so we can leave on Thursday. He bought me some flowers today . We will be gone from the 14th till the 25th so we will get plenty of sun. They have had very little rain there and its been in the 90's. We will take the laptop with us, but its hard to find internet where we will be. I think we can get a connection by the pool, but not sure. I'll check in whenever I can

Since Toms working, the rest of the family is going to my sisters for a cook-out. I'm going to Ohio to pick mom up and take her there with me. I wont be back until later tomorrow evening.

Welcome to the CLA/GLA family Jo! Lots of good folks here to help along your journey. My name is Phil...I'm the village idiot.

I'm beat. I took a half a day of vacation yesterday to help my wife get ready for a garage sale and have been running around ever since, well untill about 2:00 this afternoon anyway. We were up this morning and outside at 6 AM getting ready. Sale started at 8...people showed up at 7:15. We did pretty good, made about 300 bucks selling junk that we do not use anymore. My wife sold a box of 100 golf balls for 5 bucks...I told her I wanted .25 a ball for them. Oh well...I took all the Callaway, Nike, and Titleist golf balls out of the box. I should of been in sales. This one lady was looking at a storage chest that she really wanted but she didn't think she had the room for in her truck bed. I grabbed the tape measure, took some measurements of the space left in the bed and the size of the chest and told her that I could make it all fit with the love seat, the foot rest and the rest of the junk in the bed of the truck. She bought it and I rearanged the the load in the bed. She left with a truck full of stuff and 40 dollars less in her purse. Then I turned on the charm and sold our old camper to another lady.

One couple bought our old swing set and ask if I could take it apart to fit in their truck by the time they got back. That kind of struck me the wrong way so I decided that I would make sure it would fit. I grabbed the air tools and took the whole dang thing apart. He left with many, many parts. Have fun putting that thing back together buddy! My wife scored a push mower from a couple that she cleans for. He said it didn't work. I pulled the spark plug, wire brushed it, put it back in, then fired it up and mowed the ditch with it.

Happy Mother's day tomorrow!

Take care

Got the dehydrator out........ Fixed the pooch some deer jerky.

Was cleaning out the freezer and there was some from 2007, before we got the food saver. So I fixed it for Kota.

Fix me something after I go grocery shopping. I hate grocery shopping

Dh got called out , so it has been a long day. All that rain in Pike County caused slides on the tracks. Looks like it will be a busy week for him. They were renting all the excavators and other equip.the could get a hold of.

Hope nobody gets hurt.
Someplaces there are houses in danger of the slides.

Hi all! =]

I've just received my Tonalin CLA, I'm expecting the borage oil to come next month. What do I do? Should I take the CLA without the GLA? Would I still see results? The tonalin CLA is from Solgar and it recommends I take one capsule a day, but one capsule is only 1000 mg... I will be taking four though, because that is the effective dose but I am still sceptical about whether I will be seeing results since I won't be taking any GLA.... What do you guys think? =]

Thank you so much for your help!

Good morning! Day one on plan, ready to do the same on day two. I have the same food on the menu: zesty herb chicken breast, hamburger balls, sausage, pickles, mixed nuts. I did eat catsup with the hamburger and will probably do the same today, but I don't think I went overboard.

Exercise: 40 minutes on treadmill (fat burning program) and 20 minutes on bike (weightloss program).

Weight: 237

Going to having to order some more CLA liquid soon. I have been taking it and the GLA capsules in the evening when I get home from work and seems to be working well, as far as the fishy burps and aftertaste!!

Good idea on taking the gla caps later, those burps are nasty. I take mine just before bed.

Btw just a heads up. Watch your sodium intake just in case it affects you.

metqa, I'm going to get one of those jerky guns and try that too. Thanks for the review

Kim, with all this rain, I'm afraid its going to get worse. Thank goodness it was sunny for Mothers Day. Didnt they get hit by the tornado friday too? Or was that somewhere else. I saw on the news 14 counties got hit in KY. I love your dogs name !!!

greenejoy, @ "battle of the bulge" pills. I love it

Gold rush, I never tried it alone so I can't help you there. I never heard of Solgar brand, but most that take the caps need to take 5 a day. Maybe someone else can jump in?

I've been back on the combo for just under 2 months now, and I have lost 25 lbs !!! Thats with no exercise !! I need to start though so I dont get saggy. I even ate some maccaroni at my sisters yesterday, and BBQ on a bun. Down another 2 lbs since yesterday to 190. Just hope I can hold that through the Florida trip. I love this combo. My sister noticed I had lost weight and asked me how. I told her about thsi combo and she wants me to send her more info on it. I bought 2 new pair of size 16 shorts last week, and they are already slipping down. I have to keep pulling them up . Thank goodness they came with a belt

Fonda, Looks like you have a good plan going. I prefer to take mine at night too. I can taste it all day if I take it in the morning.

I know that the combo doesn't work for everyone, but for those that it does work for, how long did it take for you to notice any results?

I've only been on the combo for about 10 days now...I think I'm just getting impatient!

heyjupiter, I know its hard, but be patient . When I first started on it in 2005, I lost about 20 lbs in 2 months, and this time I have beat that by 5 pounds in a weeks less time.

Be patient it worked really well for Trish. But fore me it done nothing and this time I stuck with it for 6 weeks. Just remember we all are different.

Hope it works for you, I think Trish told me it usually shows results in a month.

If I am wrong on that maybe she will clarify it .

Thanks - sodium normally doesn't affect me too much. I am a water drinker, so I think that helps in flushing it out.

That is awesome! I think the combo has helped me not gain any weight these past 2 weeks on my slight eating binge, cause my eating has been horrible and exercise was obsolete last week.

WOW! That's awesome!

I haven't stalled after induction like a lot of people do, so I don't know if that's because I'm on the combo or not...but I'm continuing to lose, so I'm happy! I'm still not weighing, but my clothes fit a lot better these days.

I started seeing results in 3-4 weeks. Its a slow gradual process, but I think thats the best way to do it, and it does add up over time. Tom lost close to 30 lbs in 2 months the first time we tried it, but he was exercising like crazy and walking alot. One of the benefits of this combo is that it keeps the re-gain down.

heyjupiter, I need to weight everyday to see where I am at. Its an addiction of mine . Sometimes when I "feel" heavier, I will avoid the scale for a couple days though

Happy Monday to you all!

I was a bad girl this weekend. Let's just say I ate at the Macaroni Grill and didn't hold back from all the Rosemary Herb Bread and pasta with tomato cream sauce. It was so good but enough is enough, I didn't come all this way to digress.

Today, I warmed up on the eliptical machine for about 10 mins then on to do upper body. After that I did a mile and half run on the tread and finished up with some abs on the swiss ball. I will keep my carbs to a very minimum today but won't shy away from fruits and veges if I want them. I had more than enough starches this weekend.

Good luck to everyone trying to get back to goal! You can do it!

Hiya chic . Don't feel bad. I really think its best to have a cheat meal every now and then and get it over with instead of torturing yourself and wanting it all the time. if I want something i shouldnt have and dont have it in moderation, I completely cave and totally fall off plan. My occasional cheats actually helps me drop a couple pounds
