you have a choice of t-shirts, a shaker cup and sometimes the free sample bag or a journal. We have plenty of t-shirts, shaker cups and a journal already now lol so I always get the samples when they have them

we shared the Promax Storm protein bar and it was awesome !!!

Hi,
I've not been able to lose any weight for 5 weeks, actually I've gained 4 from the lowest point. I'm eating low carb (about 20-30g a day) but I have started drinking a large glass of red wine every night again. I had stopped in the 8 weeks that I was losing. It appears I'm answering my own question but I guess I just wanted someone to tell me it's something other than my wine that is the problem. Everything I was reading says red wine only has 3-5 carbs per glass so I thought I'd be okay especially if I was factoring those carbs into my 20-30 a day. Any thoughts??

lyn, not a drinker here so can't help you with that one

Fonda, YaY !!! on remembering your sups !!

Michele, Fly by anytime so we know your ok

Kim, Tom had to go get our dehydrator out of storage. We really love the cajun seasoning on our jerky. We havent tried it with thicker cuts yet, that will have to wait till we get back from Florida. Are we still on for lunch Monday?? Maybe a walk at the park afterwards? (if it doesnt rain again) Do you still have my cell phone #? I still have yours on mine. I get my nails done at 2pm and it usually takes about an hour, so maybe you can call me when your out of your dr. apt?

We leave for Florida in a week..and I will be so glad to leave all this rain behind. Its hasnt rained there at all and they need it so I wouldnt mind taking a few short afternoon showers with us. Still fighting to get my unemployment checks. Its been a month and they said I should start getting them next week , then every 2 weeks after that.

Trish, I think we are going to have to reschedule. Had to reschedule my appt and will be leaving with Boyd this week for a couple days. No. I don't have your cell #. Check and see if the last 4 digits on mine are 1217. If not let me know so I can give it to ya. X kept phoning awhile back and I had to change it, I don't remember if we exchanged before or after that.

Good Afternoon Everybody!! Happy Thursday!

I just got a jerky extruder and some lean beef. I can't do it today cause my house is a wreck and I'm battling a swarm of flying ants and fruit flies! Don't want nobody landing the wrong place. but i'm gonna try to make my own Jerky soon. I'm so excited. they didn't have ground chicken so It'll be beef the first try.

I can't believe that the manufacturer of a screen to keep bugs out of the house would have a big slit in the metal frame where they can just crawl right in! So Now I'm convincing the outdoor ants that indoor is hazardous to their health. My whole apartment smells like mint oil right now! . the fruit flies got into my worm bin, dang nabit, and I had to put them outside. I just started a new bed too, so the veggie scraps I put in to process are pretty much just trash now. At least it's outside. I hope my worms aren't being bothered by these horrid buzzy things.

So that's all taken care of. Once I clear a space on the counter for the dehydrator I'm ON!

Hey Trish. Well I managed to get the worker ants to stop coming in. the mint oil did the trick. Now I just need to find where the drones are coming from (the ones with wings)

I'm afraid to look in my worm bin, i'll do that tomorrow in the daylight. If I have to reset that bin again I'm gonna be so . . . well, I'm putting all my scraps inthe freezer wrapped in paper from now on. that ought to kill anything in a few days, right? then I can take the prewrapped package and bury the whole thing. that should keep anyone from getting to it easily except the worms hopefully.

No I haven't made the jerkey yet but its on my mind.

I noticed a big ant hill by our driveway yesterday. We havent had a problem with them before, but I need to do something about it before we do. Mint oil works pretty good?

Down to 192 today . slow but steady, works for me

5 more days till we leave for Florida !! I can't wait !!

My goal is to be below 190 when we get back. Toms folks cook such good meals its hard not to gain, but with playing golf every day (and walking instead of riding the golf cart) and going to the pool and doing laps, maybe I can control that . They have a water aerobics class every day maybe we can get in on

Whoo Hoo 4lbs is great, ADLMA!!

Trish, I used mint essential oil. You're 'supposed' to dilute to use, but it was storning and I was in a fit and just used the dropper to pour a line of pure mint oil concentate around the entrance. They havent been back. I'm so cruel!

Sounds like you are gonna have a lot of fun in Florida.

Body Found Resembles Georgia Prof Accused of Killing Three
Police Say George Zinkhan Disappeared After Shooting; Body Taken to Crime Lab

May 9, 2009

After searching for more than two weeks, police have found a body in Bogart, Ga., that appears to be the University of Georgia marketing professor accused of killing three people April 25. George Zinkhan allegedly opened fire on an Athens, Ga., theater group, which included his wife, Marie Bruce.
Police have discovered a body said to resemble University of Georgia professor George Zinkhan, who they say shot and killed three people, including his estranged wife, at a theater group picnic April 25.
(Richard Hamm/Athens Banner-Herald/AP Photo)Zinkhan, 57, was last seen driving his red 2005 Jeep Liberty, which was located about a week after the shootings. The body was found concealed by dirt and brush in the woods about 1.3 miles away from the car. Police today said that the body was purposely hidden.
In a news conference, police said the body fits Zinkhan's description and has been taken to a state crime lab for identification. Police also found two guns near the body that were consistent with the guns used in the shootings that occured near the University of Georgia campus in Athens.
"We haven't confirmed anything yet. We've got to do an autopsy first," police Capt. Clarence Holeman told The Associated Press.

'Kind of a Nice Guy'
Police say Zinkhan drove to a reunion picnic for volunteers of the Town & Gown Players outside the Athens Community Theatre April 25, with his two children in tow. His son and daughter, ages 8 and 10, were left in the car while he allegedly stormed the gathering with two handguns and started shooting.
When he left, his estranged wife, Bruce, 47, and two longtime theater members, Thomas Tanner, 40, and Bob Teague, 63, were dead, each shot multiple times. Zinkhan then reportedly dropped off his children with a neighbor and disappeared.
When Zinkhan vanished, he left behind a stunned and fearful community.
Federal authorities had said at the end of April that Zinkhan had a ticket for a May 2 flight to the Netherlands, but authorities were unable find his passport during searches of his home and his office. Police said he had a house in Amsterdam, where he taught part time.

ok, so if he killed himself, how would he bury himself after? This is really getting weird

THAT IS WEIRD!!

Wow, thanks for keeping me updated! All my neighbors are out for graduation and I haven't listened to the news all day. that is so bizzarre. I heard that it was in Bogart that he dropped the kids off with a family freind, but I may have misheard. Good thing he left his children before he went off to whatever/whoever killed him.

ETA: Those poor children are ORPHANS!

WOE: carb cycling
Start Date: Sept 08
hi

Hi everyone. I am new here, my name is Jo. I started my diet back in September 08 (carb cycling), I lost 25 lbs by Christmas. I started a new job in February where I sit at a desk all day long vs. being on my feet all day long at my last job. I put on about 10 lbs while still doing my low carb cycling. I have the pooch back in my belly that was almost gone a few months ago. I started taking Ultra 90 (which is CLA and callogen) for the past 2 months. They claim that it takes 90 days to start working. I think in the past few weeks my pooch seems a little smaller, although I didn't measure so I am not sure. I just ordered a new bottle with the acai berry to go with it and then I found this site. So, I went and purchased the CLA and GLA from wal-mart and I plan to take one CLA with my Ultra90 and 2 Borage oil a day, oh and the Acai berry. I really hope to get rid of this pooch again. I also will continue my Low Carb cycling because I enjoy this way of eating. Sooooo, I will let you know if I see any results in a week, I do hope that boosting the CLA and introducing the Borage oil will be what I need to get back into losing again. Thank you for posting on this site it is so good to read about true results instead of fake testimonials... Wish me luck.

Jo

Ok I copied and pasted these 2 posts from the other board. I wanted to share it here, the first posted was posted on May 3rd. This post was posted today May 9th.

Well I think the extra boost in CLA (currently taking ultra 90 with CLA) and the GLA combo did the trick. 5 days into the combo I dropped 5 lbs. I noticed on day 3 and 4 I peed an awful lot. Now with the carb cycling you have 2 days of high carb and 5 days of low carb. Here I am on the weekend on my high carb day, was almost hesitant to eat carbs today because I am afraid to change anything from this weeks progress, I was in deep ketosis this morning. Well I ate low carb for most of the day and then indulged for dinner. Tomorrow will be another high carb day then back to low carb on Monday. I will weigh in again next Friday and let you know.

Sorry if you've already discussed this but how long are you going to be in FL for? Hopefully you'll get some sunshine and not rain there. I just love Florida weather. What does the family have planned for you tomorrow?
