Gold Rush, I really hate posting these again, but it is the only way to show just what this combo did for me when I first started taking it in 2005. (Pictures speak louder than words) This was my 2 month results. Why oh why did I stop taking it !!!!
![]() I fell off the wagon so hard and gained back 15 more since then, than I had to begin with because of my trash eating. I'm struggling to stay on plan now too, but not doing too bad Last edited by kycowgirl; 04-29-2009 at 10:40 AM.. |

Kim, you have done really well, your a beautiful lady
. Its going to be a stormy day for us ![]() Gold Rush, I should have added my weight there too. I started out 196 and got down to 172. I was wearing a tight 18 jean and got down to a snug 12, comfy 14. I was going to Curves the first month, then quit going and just ocassionally walked. I ate omeletes for breakfast, something like tuna or lunch meat on LC wraps for lunch and some kind of meat and veggie for dinner. I'd throw in a salad sometime during the day. I got so burnt out on eggs and tuna so when Thanksgiving came around I totally fell off plan , and gradually regained all the weight back plus. I'm not realy sure LC is right for me for a lifetime. Carby stuff I didnt eat before, I was craving like crazy. I need to find something I can maintain for life. This is my Curves chart that shows how my weight and fat loss really took off after starting this combo.

. so forgive me for stepping on the soap box.![]() If you are not adding carbs back, then you are not following the lifetime plan that low carb advocates like Dr.Atkins stresses is critical for lifetime maintenance. You do NOT have to "suffer" , You do NOT have to be or feel "deprived" . Once you get to a comfortable weight, it is time for you to start experimenting. Sample some carbs, but get on the scale the next day. if you gained, take a step back. Eat the things you crave the most, but keep track of how much you ate so you can find out how much you can have without problems. Folks move out of Ongoing Weight Loss to include whole grains, more starchy veggies, and sweet fruits so long as they correct if they get out of the comfortable weigh range. And contrary to popular belief, you may think your clothes fit will tell you if you've gained, but fat doesn't always go on the same way it came off. You have to weight to keep track of it. Make the scale your friend. If not everyday, at least a couple of times or minimum once a week. Even Dr. A said to weigh once a week and to correct if over 5lb difference. I like to do it every day, as a routine. even if I ignore the number for a couple of days, sooner or later the number will sink in and I'll pay attention.Y'know why they weigh babies everyday in the hospital. To make sure nothing has gone wrong with their growth. if they are growing to slowly or too fast they can take steps right away to put them on the right path. But not if they don't know. BABY YOURSELF! ![]() Low carb can be a lifetime lifestyle. Even low fat eaters indulge in a fatty meal sometimes, but what do they do, they go back to low fat eating and keep on keeping on. We can do that too! ![]() I'll admit something embarrassing. When I'd get stessed out, I'd eat Little debbies swiss cake rolls.(totally wrong emotional eating!! or over a few days, a few cookies each day. But I didn't stop eating Low carb everything else, and when the cookies were gone I felt satisfied (sometimes before they were gone) and I'd not eat them again for months. And I'd keep on eating mostly low carb with an occasional extra treat. (sneak a few fries from BF, occasional slice of Pizza hut pizza) I whiffed a chocolate cake and decided that it was the experience the smell and taste and not the cake itself I wanted, so I sniffed the cake, and had sugar free hot chocolate later.![]() I think the fact that you still exercise is totally to your advantage, and you could keep a lower carb lifestyle, if you let yourself indulge occasionally. But alway come back lower immediately if you get out of range. You know who Linda Sue is . . . ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() . . .stepping down . . . ![]()

Okay, here's my before and afters. The first 2 pics were taken last year. The first in January, the second in April? Keep in mind my activity level is thru the roof, my pals here can vouch for that as I've been a "cheerleader" with everyone's fitness!
The last picture is my most recent. I've maintained mostly with the combo and exercise. I've also tried some other supps like L Carnitine and another fat burner but I pretty much eat what I want, with in reason of course. New combo users, good luck and stay deligent! ![]() ![]() ![]()

metqa, you can step up on that soapbox anytime you want lol. I dont take offense easily and I appreciate any support I get . I never did get to that "comfortable" weight where I felt I could add more carbs. I do weigh myself everyday so I know if I am on the right track. I dont worry about a pound or 2 either way, but if I go up 5-6 then I know I am doing something wrong. I guess where I was single for so long, and it was easier to just go buy fast food, I just can't grasp a healthier way to eat. It all seams so complicated. Tom helps alot, I'd be lost without him, but sometimes I just feel so stupid, like I should know all this stuff. We definately know who Linda Sue is lol. Tom uses alot of her recipes. I just get a little overwelmed sometimes trying to soak all this in and do it right
chic, you always were our best cheerleader . ![]() Kim & chic, Thanks for posting your pics too. You both look great. There is nothing more motivational than seeing progress pics. We used to post updated pics the 1st of each month and the changes were amazing. The visual really helps. I should have taken my own advice and took beginning pics this time too. I still have alot to lose but I am definately losing. I am not giving up this time !! |

ATLANTA (AP) -- Authorities who have searched nearly a week for a former professor suspected of killing his wife and two others found his red Jeep wrecked in a north Georgia ravine not far from his home, but there was no sign of him.
The Jeep was found overnight "well off the beaten path" in a wooded area of Bogart, a rural community next to Athens, where George Zinkhan lived and taught marketing at the University of Georgia's Terry College of Business, FBI Special Agent in Charge Greg Jones said Friday. Authorities across the nation and in Europe have been looking for the 57-year-old, who was fired after the April 25 shootings. Zinkhan is accused of killing his wife, 47-year-old attorney Marie Bruce, and two members of her community theater group, Ben Teague, 63, and Tom Tanner, 40, in front of a theater in Athens. Police hadn't previously revealed a motive, but Jones said Friday that interviews with friends and family indicate the shooting likely stemmed from sort of domestic dispute between Zinkhan and Bruce. Authorities have some indication she was preparing to file for divorce, he said. Zinkhan was last seen driving away in the Jeep after dropping his children off with a neighbor. They were in his car during the shootings but weren't hurt. A signal emitted by one of Zinkhan's cell phones was one of the things that led authorities to the Jeep, Jones said. It looked "wrecked but not too bad" and likely had been in the ravine since shortly after the shooting, he said. Authorities on Friday searched a 200-acre area near the ravine in case Zinkhan might be there. A nearby elementary school was locked down as a precaution, said Anisa Jimenez, a spokeswoman for the Clarke County school district. Jones said authorities were piecing together some leads from evidence in the Jeep, but declined to elaborate. Authorities revealed earlier this week that Zinkhan had a flight to Amsterdam booked for Saturday and they had found an empty passport wallet at his house. Zinkhan has taught part-time at the Vrije Universiteit (Free University) in the Netherlands since April 2007. Zinkhan's brother said earlier this week that his relatives have been working to help Athens-Clarke County police and the FBI find him. The University of Georgia is warning students to be cautious until he's found. Metqa, please be careful ![]() |

Hmm, I just walked home from BF's house today. I'd totally forgotten about this guy. We talked about it in english class yesterday. but from a personal safety pov he wasn't on my mind. Now that he's on foot, he may even be more dangerous. There's no way he could come around here, people would recognize him. It's very small townish.
Looks like he wants to flee the country. Thanks Trish for the Reminder!! ![]() |

OMG The UPS guy came today and I was like a kid at Christmas! He brought me a big box of supplements which included more borage oil and tonalin CLA. I've now got a 3 month supply (what can I say...I got a good deal so stocked up!). I've already taken my first dose. I hope that the combo works as well for me this time as it did the last time I took it.

I had to send a mean email to a guy I know. He keeps calling my house all the time leaving really long messges about nothing. Everybody has got caller ID now because of HIM. He's an ex-employee who used to work with BF, and has no sense of when to stop talking. He's a lonely man because of it.
He started calling my home after BF quit answering ( call ID) and I talked to him occasionally and got him to learn that when I give a deadline for the conversation he should quit. But he still just gossips and bad mouths other people most of the time and it's not interesting to listen to. When I went out of state a couple of months back, I came home to half a dozen messages on my machine. that's when I started screening my calls. I was busy at work a lot ( thank goodness for paychecks) and being away from home, my answering machine cut off because it had no more room to record, because of him. He just called my home at 11:50 pm and I got fed up. I told him it was too late to call and he said okay and hung up, but the nerve of him. Trying to "catch" me at home. My mother is on a long road trip and I was worried an accident had happened since I never get late calls. This is what I sent him. Quote:

Wait...Paddlefish aren't the ones with the big teeth? I may have seen a pic of those things too.
Tombstone is showing on the History Channel.... "I've tried to be good, it's just so boring. I don't have time to be proper. I wanna live. I'm a woman, I like men. If that means I'm not lady like, then I guess I'm just not a lady. At least I'm honest." ~Josephine Marcus |
