Hi everyone!

I used to be on the CLA/GLA combo a few years ago when I was on LCF. I'm back on the low carb WOE so I've decided to give the CLA/GLA another try. I know it worked well for me the last time I tried it. I got soooo many complements on my skin! I've been taking the GLA (borage oil) for a while now, but I just ordered the CLA and I should get it within a couple of days. Anyway, I just wanted to stop by and introduce myself and say "hi!"

Kim, that is one of the downfalls, I have to get my hair and nails done a little sooner when I am on the combo...but I'm worth it .
I hear ya on the destroyed metabolism . Let me know when you will be in town again and I'll give you a bag of those

I was gonna check in with you........ May 11th. I have a dr appt in Maysville. Thought I'd check and see if you might want to get together and do lunch.

Since I can get the professional haircolor, when I am in Portsmouth I pick up my color and do it myself. Nails .. it's been years since I had them done. right now I have been digging in th flower beds and they look pretty bad !!

Met my DS in Mt.Sterling this morning, had breakfast, guided him through grocery shopping ( He hates it). Of course I took a full course meal for him, and he always wants dessert. Says his GF can't cook like mom ( sure son, I know it is just bcause mine is free, gotta love him though). ing that the state lets go of some of it's funds so he can go back to work (road construction).

The 11th sounds good to me. Tom may be able to come too, depending on the time. I have a nail appt at 2 but I can change it if needed. What time is your dr. appt?

Toms been cooking again. I found a recipe on the board somewhere for LC honey wheat buns and he made them. He also made some pulled pork BBQ. I just had the best sandwich using the buns with the BBQ Yum !!!
I threw on a piece of swiss cheese too.


I went to Walmart today to try to find some shorts to wear in Florida. I told the lady at the dressing room desk, if she hears me scream, ignore it

New Diet Program

A guy calls a company and orders their 5-day, 10-lb weight loss program.

The next day, there's a knock on the door, and there stands before him a voluptuous, athletic, 19-year-old babe dressed in nothing but a pair of Nike running shoes and a sign around her neck.

She introduces herself as a representative of the weight loss Company.

The sign reads, 'If you can catch me, you can have me.'

Without a second thought, he takes off after her.

A few miles later huffing and puffing, he finally gives up.

The same girl shows up for the next four days and the same thing happens.

On the fifth day, he weighs himself and is delighted to find he has lost 10 lbs as promised.

He calls the company and orders their 5-day, 20-pound program.

The next day there's a knock at the door and there stands the most stunning, beautiful, sexy woman he has ever seen in his life.

She is wearing nothing but Reebok running shoes and a sign around her neck that reads, 'If you catch me, you can have me'. Well, he's out the door after her like a shot.

This girl is in excellent shape and he does his best, but no such luck.

So for the next four days, the same routine happens with him gradually getting in better and better shape.

Much to his delight on the fifth day when he weighs himself, he discovers that he has lost another 20 lbs as promised.

'Are you sure?' asks the representative on the phone. 'This is our most rigorous program.'

'Absolutely,' he replies, 'I haven't felt this good in years.'

The next day there's a knock at the door; and when he opens it, he finds a huge muscular guy standing there wearing nothing but pink running shoes and a sign around his neck that reads, 'If I catch you, your a** is mine.'

Went to the tanning bed this morning. Went over to the park and took a walk it's nice over there.

When Tom & I went a couple days ago, there was some young guy jogging around the lake. he lapped us 3 times !!!!! And I thought we were walkin a pretty good clip

1 lap around the lake is 1 mile

If he would have lapped us again, I was gonna trip him

Where do you go to the tanning bed? I go to Fantastic Sams. I bought a 10 visit package so I can tan up before we go to Florida. Been 3 times now. between that and mowing I'm getting a pretty good tan started so hopefully I wont burn up in Florida

Sun Tan City I only try and go no more than twice a week, years of tanning has me a bit freckly. I use to have my own and I tanned every day all year. Not a good thing to do !

Yeah there was this young lady ... slender little thing, jogging and I thought if she laps me one more time... I gonna push her in the water.

Shor legs don't go fast and the distance between steps is not much

I didnt like paying $18 a month if i went or not . They didnt tell me their beds were 10x stronger than other places and let me go 20 minutes the first time. I got burned so bad, I canceled my membership and wont ever go back there

I don't do the membership . I buy just a package at a time . My skin is so used to the tanning that I can stay 20 even on the first visit. I slow down in July/Aug and stop in Sept and restart in March.

Trish - My oldest DD graduated in December from Belmont Univ. in TN. She moved home after graduation and works a full time job. My youngest DD is a junior this year and she will be home on Friday for the summer. She has one more year.

Metqa - I need to test drive that gardening technique. I plant. The morning glories take over. I get frustrated. They win. I heard about that shooting too! It was quite warm here too for the past week. Now rain. I suppose we need it.

Trish - WTG on the 194! Claim it! I am still losing, though I don't know how much. I am still avoiding the scales, as they have a way of bringing the ADLMA down. I am just looking forward to wearing something that does not look square. LOL

Phil - I have some turkeys for ya. There is a huge band of them than hangs out in my front yard, leaving beind, uhm, fertilizer.

To all the newbies! Just a word, if CLA/GLA works for me, it will work for anyone. I enjoyed a slim life for a long long time. Then, with my pregnancies, I was ill. . .a lot. Long story short, I ruined my tummy, by getting sick, so I gained weight that was impossible to lose, even with eating very clean and exercise. CLA/GLA has helped me lose weight. I may never be 5'8", 130 again, but I am smaller than I have been in two years. I wish you all well!

By the way I've ordered CLA Plus with Clarinol and Borage Oil but I'm ordering if I should order something else, maybe there's something more effective? On the scale I'm not really overweight, but my body shape is unattractive, like there's more fat than there should be and so I'm wondering if there are any supplements that could kill that fat.

ADLMA, you ought to give the morning glories something to climb on to get them out of your way. they love to climb. get a cheep tubular arbor from a discount store and they will climb till they reach for the sky, leaving your garden space free to use. I hope you love Square Foot Gardening as much as I did. I actually got bored cause there wasn't much to do.
P.S. I want some of your rain, but only on the days I have to work.

Hey Goldrush. Gee I don't know about fat killing, if you find out let me know. I hope the combo works for you, many have seen stellar results and some have seen not much. It's very individual. Some folks also take L-carnitine for energy. but I don't know if it actually targets fat or just makes you more efficient in it's use.

ADLMA, what a glowing report for this combo !! It does work if you stick to plan. I keep forgetting to take mine since I am not working and just....hanging out

Gold Rush, The best thing I like about this combo is how it reshapes your body and defines your waist, so hopefully that is what you will get out of it too
