Does anyone Refrigerate their Fish Oil capsules?

I was just over my sisters house and she told me that her naturopath told her to refrigerate her Fish Oil capsules. Does anyone do this? Is it supposed to be refrigerated?

I recently read that storing them in the fridge and taking them before bed, prevents the fish burps.

I actually keep mine in the freezer to keep them fresh. No fish burps for me.

This is what my pharmacist told me to do. I was giving him my "I can't take fish oil cuz they make me burp and I hate the taste" excuse... but he has an answer for everything

When I buy it, it is on the shelf so I wouldn't think refrigeration is necessary.

Refrigeration isn't necessary, but it is oil. Oil can go rancid and taste bad. Keeping it in the fridge it will last longer and prevent the fishy burps because it is fresher. I keep mine there now!

I don't refrigerate, but I have no problems with 'burbs' either. I take Carlson's which I understand is very pure.

Glad to see the answer to my fish burps. I haven't been refrigerating mine so I'll try that. If that fails I'll try another brand.

I've also heard that this works.. but I've never tried it. My fish oil stays up in the medicine cabinet with the rest of my stuff... I don't really get that burp-taste though.

I find that if I don't gulp air when I swallow the water and the pills, I am less likely to get any kind of burping. I don't get the burps with fish oil (I'm taking nordic naturals ultimate omega 500 - strawberry - they are small), but I do sometimes with oil or oregano.

I take Mason's Burp Free fish oil and I've never had a burp
problem with that brand but really did with some other cheaper
brands. I don't keep them in the refrigerator though.
