Welcome to the thread Annie. Glad to have you join us.

I may not be posting much for a bit, alot going on here. My daughter was admitted to the hospital today. Her kidney is blocked and she has to have a stint put in to see if it will drain. Then in 2 weeks she has to have surgery again to cut out the blockage and re-attach her kidney. They said shes had it since birth, and its gotten progressively worse until it is all the way blocked. They are going to use a robot for the surgery. I'll be at the hospital early in the morning for surgery 1. Prayers for her will be greatly appreciated

Also my computer died and I am using the laptop for now until I get a new one.

Thanks so much y'all. Much appreciated. They put the stint in today. Shes in alot of pain and her and my granddaughter Hailey are here with us so we can take care of them. I have to call the surgeon Monday and make an apt for a consultation for her surgery to remove the bad part of her kidney and re-route it to get it working again. He said its serious but fixable Thank God

I just checked on her. Shes still in alot of pain and can't sleep. Everyone else has finally settled down and went to sleep. Thats where I am heading also. I've been up since 6am and I am beat. I won't get much sleep cuz I'll be checking on her througout the night. Its hard when your baby is hurting, even when shes 25

i am getting back on the band wagon today.....got my broth cooking and i'm having a berry smoothie for breakfast. i have a terrible cold and i'm hoping the detox will flush it out. my big news is that I FINALLY found a Wii!!!!! I got it for Christmas for the family and have ordered Wii fit and accessories. I'm really excited about it and i think the kids will LOVE it!!! Maybe we can get them to exercise some too without knowing it!! hope everyone is well.....catch ya later.

That sucks! We (my hunting buddy & I) made our first 5 pound batch of deer jerky today in his bradley digital smoker. We used a hickory mix and mesquite smoke. It smelled good but I had to leave before it was finished so I didn't get a taste test. My buddy called and let me know that it was pretty damn good! I've got another 20 pounds of jerky to cure and I have to make up some brats and deer sticks.

I am about a month on the combo... I am not losing inches or weight...I am keeping my hopes high and continuing with the combo and exercise. I am an East Indian and is it something to do with it... I am used to loads of rice. Since i want to lose weight and reduce my tummy i am off rice for more than a month now... Trying the atkin way....

Hi Rekha! Life sucks right now. I have to go back to work tomorrow.

Has anyone ever used Google earth? I was messing around with it looking at the Houston Texas area. I found the street where my uncle lives and clicked the street view button and placed the little yellow guy about where his house was. The picture came up. I turned it 90 degrees and there it was. A picture of my uncle and aunt's house that I had spent so many Christmas' at with my folks as a boy. Man, talk about the good memories coming back. That floored me.

Phil, I love google earth. We looked up Toms family in Florida and it zoomed us right to their homes. It doesn't show our house yet, just farmland before these homes were built which was 20 years ago. They need to update it.

They are going to try for Dec 17 for Trevas surgery. The procedure is called ROBOTIC-ASSISTED LAPAROSCOPIC DISMEMBERED PYELOPLASTY. There is only one surgoen in the area that knows how to do this surgery. I am so worried. There are so many things that can go wrong. I know they have to tell you all the risks, but I wonder since she HAS to have this surgery, if it would be better not knowing what all could go wrong. I've gained 2 pounds this week stress eating and right now, I don't care. I just want my baby healthy again

. Her surgery is scheduled for Dec 18. 4 days after her 25th Birthday. I am trying to stay strong and keep myself together. If I allow myself to cry, I feel I won't be able to stop. I don't want her to know just how scared I am after hearing all the risks. They said she will be in alot of pain, but they will send her home on the 19th and will take about 6 weeks to heal. She will be coming to our home so we can help her. I'll keep you updated....

My son is having hernia surgery in January, and my neice just got out of the hospital with another staff infection...Lord give me strength

Why does everything hit at once and always around Christmas

Tom and I did the Jillian Michaels Boot Camp for Wii. 2 days later and we are still so sore we cannot move without pain lol. It was so much fun, we didn't feel we were workiing out

I need to order some more cla this weekend. With all the running around I will be doing its sure to help burn some calories

Hello Everybody. Whew! I just finished installing some new TrueType Japanese Character Fonts. they look so Cool!

PITA though, trying to pick them up, since windows doesn't actually recognize the foreign characters it was all mumbo jumbo and I had to pick the correct fonts from a list of unintelligible (worse than unintelligible) dribble!

Finally got them though.

Sorry I can't show you since LCF doesn't have the fonts in its list.
