Just stopping by to say hi. I haven't started the combo yet.. Very hectic here. Had to go out of town on a family emergency, and I just haven't been back to 'that' place quite yet... Eating is OK, just won't take the combo until I know I will be exercising like I should..
metqa, no, I haven't measured yet. Honestly, knowing me, I won't. I'm to askeered.. PCOS and Hashi's has done a number on me, and I don't want to know what that number is! Mikki, WTG girl on goal!!!!! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Trisha, glad you had a good trip and got back safely.. To bad your trip here, fell thru.. Hi to everyone else... ![]() |

<---------- I just love this little guy....Just bought a HUGE bottle of Tonalin CLA today at GNC. I came down with a cold today. I've been on CLA/GLA for the past 2 weeks. I felt lousey the past week. Neck stiff and achey. I guess I was coming down with a cold. So, my next question is..... could the CLA/GLA be pulling something out of me? I heard coconut oil can give people flu like symptoms when first taking it...I guess it kills off yeast or something. Sorry for all the silly questions.... I just want to be sure I am taking things for the right reasons. ![]() |

Yeah Metqa! It's so nice to put a face to your texts!!! You make a great Mini! Cool.
Atkins Chick...I noticed that when I started the combo after being off it for awhile, it didn't seem to work as well for me as it did the first time. So I recomend sticking with it for awhile if it's working for you! Hello everyone! Nice to see the board flowing again. Last edited by Justachic; 11-03-2008 at 07:46 AM.. |

Hey Chic, Thanks a bunch, you are so sweet. I seem to have a mental block against taking all of my CLA, I can usually get 2 in but forget the rest. It doesn't help that I've not been eating "regular" meals , just whenever y'know. I need to make an extra effort to get the rest in at either lunch or dinner. Wish me perseverance! ![]() ![]()

Hello peoples. Well I started the combo I guess about three weeks ago ish. Anyways I had a pair of goal jeans that I wore prior to my two kids about three years ago and last week I put them on justto see how much further I had to get in them and to my suprise they fit. So I set another pair on my door as goal jeans and they fit this weekend. So now I am going to have to go out and buy a new pair of goal jeans to hang up in a 14. If I could get in to a 14 by Christmas I would just love it. So anyways workign out daily eating high protein and drinking water on top of the combo has taken forty pounds off of me in two months. I have been sharing the news with friends. Thanks for all the help.

Hi Everybody,
I have been on the combo for just more than 2 weeks now... Nice to see all the posts and it is so encouraging to be on this combo...... Unfortunately for me... it hasnt worked that well... I havent seen any changes yet... But i believe i should and i am gonna stick to it. I switched to liquid CLA this week hoping that would help me out..... It should just that i have more stubborn fat than everyone ![]() I walk 2 miles on the threadmill atleast 6 days a week (thats the only time i sweat )and i eat right and i am on atkin for a week now.... I work with computers and there is no physical activty apart from typing .. lol... I take half a tablespoon of CLA and 5 borage oil with my breakfast... Hoping and keeping my figers crossed that i will someday reach my goal Congrats for all those who have seen results.... WOOHOO!! WTG!!!! |

kiki, I hope things have quieted down for you some. You have alot on your plate right now (no pun intended).
Atkins Chick, I love that little wavey guy too lol. I've never heard of anyone getting cold symptoms from this combo, but anythings possible. We are here to answer your questions, so don't worry about asking alot . Congrats on the 8lb loss woot woot !!!![]() chic, it was the same for me. It didn't work as well the second time, but it did still work as long as I was on plan metqa, I agree with using how your clothes fit as a guide. I forget to take the caps too, so I am going to order another bottle of the liquid. Its not bad if I put it in LC milk and chug it down. I can taste it for a couple hours after though, but I do like the liquid better mikki, miss seeing you on the thread here, don't be a stranger !! snowyleilani, welcome to the thread . Congrats on the weight loss. Thats the results we want to see. Keep it going and let us know future results please !!!rekhab, don't give up. I started seeing good results in 3 weeks and it just kept getting better from there. Remember, research said 3 months for results, but some are luckier to see them much quicker. You have nothing to lose but inches if you stick with it. Phil, Michele, Michelle, MG ...please check in and let us know how your doing ![]()

So do you think it was the combo or just the LCing that was really working the second time around? This whole trying to become lean and staying lean stuff truly is a science, ya know! I'm in the process of trying to build more muscle so I'm not really being as strict on my WOE. I'll be ready to hit the combo again soon.By the way....are you getting your heart rate up in some fun way yet? Something I started doing lately and it's been a lot of fun is jumping rope! Remember when we were little girls? We could do that for hours it seemed. ![]()

Hey everyone. I've had a bad cold and have been on the recliner, but it is getting better, except for the clogged head.
Just wanted to say Metqa, you're beautiful and I am so happy that you finally shared a picture of your sweet self! I love your costume. I would not pay $35 for a leotard, either. Trish - I'm glad you and Tom enjoyed your vacation in TN. As far as eating, I'm not on any plan right now and I have to get my butt in gear. Chic, thanks for sharing your list. Atkins Chick - Congrats on the loss, that is awesome! ![]() Hello to everyone else.

Oh My Goodness I just had to call the Georgia Fraternal Order of Police and give them a piece of my mind!
![]() A couple of years ago, I gave a donation to them. It was my Birthday and I was feeling good and the guy on the phone was really nice and friendly. So I gave. Fast forward. . . . I have had to decrease the amount of donations I give to the charities I really enjoy. NPR, Feral Cats, etc. So anyway I get a phone call while I'm eating lunch, (thought it was BF) and there's a guy (always a guy) mispronouncing my name. He says his name and the city he is in and I immediately know who it is, so I go ahead and say that I'm not giving anymore charitable donations this year. He continues, and I don't like to waste peoples time so I repeat myself, emphasizing the ANY more part. He insists, I tell him again and that I might donate in the future when I am more financially able. He persists! I tell him I didn't want to be rude, but I'm in the middle of eating lunch and I am not giving to any donations, his or any others. He goes on about how he wants to not lose my support (he has said that 3-4 times already and I'm ready to pull the plug, but I don't like hanging up on people) So finally I told him "look. I know who you are, I knew who you were when you identified your city. and I will not be giving any money to you or any other charities at all right now!". He finally got the message and hung up. Of all the blight-eating nerve! ![]() GRR, AND I cooking lasagna noodles for the first time so I'm keyed up and hungry and now angry. I called their fundraising headquarters and got a lady and I told her that while I do give to charities I feel that after I have refused 3 times the conversation should end and that I didn't like the insistent tone he kept giving me even after I told him I was EATING! I told her to remove my name and she is going to review the call. Now my lunch is cold, my noodles are actually under-cooked cause I freaked out when the timer went off and forgot to taste-test them for doneness, and errrggg! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Yet, I remembered to take my CLA with lunch ! ![]() |

chic, I'm still in a slump. I tried walking to the shop from the crusher one night which is about a mile and a half. I felt pretty good until I woke up the next day with plantar fiscitis in both feet. I know its because if the extra weight I am carrying. I told Tom, I am cleaning out the fridge this weekend and restocking with all LC foods so we can start back on plan together. Now I just have to move all the hanging plants off my treadmill lol and start getting on it again lol. I've been playing alot of Tiger Woods Wii, so my right arm is getting lots of exercise lol just need to get on the wii fit. I am going to get the Julian Michaels wii workout game and give it a try. It looks like a good workout and fun too. I can't really say about the second time around with the cla, this is my 4th try and I can't get myself back on plan with exercise so I am really wasting it. I'm going to order some more of the liquid cla, and start back on it next week when we go back on plan. Time to dig out my oopsie roll recipe. That was a BIG help.
Michele, we did have a great time in Tennessee. We only did a short hike this time as none of us were in any shape to tackle the big hikes. Hope your feeling better soon Rekha, I feel guilty giving advice I am not following myself. The reason I do is because I know this combo works from experience. I just have to get back in the groove and DO IT !!! I have a desk job underground, and have to stay glued to a computer so I don't get to move around much either, plus all my restrictions from my neck injury keep me from doing alot of things I used to do to stay active. Glad your hanging in there ![]() metqa, I was in the same situation. I always donated to the FOP. They must have sold my info, so now I get everyone and their brothers calling me for donations, so I just quit them all and dont answer my phone unless I know who it is. ![]() to everyone else !!Last edited by kycowgirl; 11-06-2008 at 12:55 PM.. |

I used to be like that too chic, its so rude to hang up on someone and it made me feel bad, but after so many calls, I have no problem hanging up (when I actually answer) as soon as I hear who it is

Years ago, I got a job as a telemarketer for Olan mills photo studio (for 1 day). We were told not to give up until they told us no "at least 3 times". I got this one old lady and she started crying and told me they wont stop calling her and she doesnt want any photos. I felt so bad for her I deleted her name from the system and quit that job.

Trisha...Sorry to hear your attempt at getting some exercise resulted in plantar fiscitis. What is that exactly? I guess all you can really do is take things slow and work your way up to the next level when comfortable. It does take some time so don't get too frustrated. I remember how I started back in January and went full throttle with the workouts everyday (but not neccessarily with dieting) and I found it still took me awhile to feel fit cardio wise. Anyway, hope your feet feel better and soon!

I probably spelled it wrong, but its where the tendons that run across the arch of your foot get over-extended and tear. They tighten up while your sleeping and it hurts to walk until you get them stretched back out. But too much stretching gets it hurting again. I've been fighting it since we walked so far barefoot on the beach in Florida back in April 2007. Takes forever to heal

It really blew my mind! I thought everyone followed the three no rule, and it was when he took an aggressive tone that I felt he crossed the line. Even though he didn't say any bad words or even leave the wording of the script, I could feel the growl in his voice. and I just let him know point blank (NPU) that I wasn't gonna put up with it. BTW, the Lasagna noodles ended up being okay. Here's what I made with them. Asiago peppercorn Dressing, a layer of fresh spinach leaves, a layer of deli sliced ham, a line of mustard, a layer of thin sliced aged swiss, then roll 'em up. The ones on the end are turkey and cheddar. I suppose one could put a piece of pimiento or half a yellow cherry tomato in the middle to look like a flower. I'm procrastinating on planning my Lesson for this evenings DOUBLE CLASS My partner has an important meeting out of town and asked me like two days ago to cover her class, I'm such a pushover ![]() |
