First night back was as expected lol. They welcomed me back with big rocks all night . No more fall-ins while I was away but the water truck lost steering going down a ramp and flipped over. The driver was wearing his seat belt so luckily he wasn't hurt at all. Just his pride when he had to go take a drug test

I'm trying to get myself back on plan. I never eat breakfast, but I had some turkey links and eggs this morning with some yerba-mate ambrosia tea with a little CO added. I actually ate more than normal when I was on plan before and lost weight and inches. I have to get some weight off before Toms sons wedding next summer

lucki, how are the ribs feeling these days?

You can do it Trisha, you can do it!!!

Little tricks that helped me (and really worked) get to my reunion goals.

1. "Hypnotize" yourself at night for a perfect, on plan diet for the following day. (Includes prayer)
2. Get your heart rate up for at least 20 minutes a day. Do something fun!
3. Visualize yourself at your desired shape.
4. Never, and I mean never say anything negative about your body!
5. Believe you are already there at your desired. Before you know it, you will be.


Good luck. Start now. I wanna see how happy you will feel when you get in the groove.

Sorry, but the cheerleader in me came out again!!!

Hi all....

Trish--- maybe a dumb question.... what is yerba-mate ambrosia tea
I CO is coconut oil... (which so far I don't like).

Welcome back from Tn. We haven't so far this year. Dh works away M-T so when he gets back on Thursdays I hate to ask him to go away. But we are planning on going in Dec.. he has 3 weeks of vacaton left. naturally one of those is deer season .

Medically for me it has been a tough year so really I haven't been feeling to great. Al those meds, that don't work, have done a number on my weight and my metabolism

Sorry for the threadjack.. guys

Gettting ready to start the combo. Rereading Trish wonderful info and checking my list to see what I need to stock up on.

chic, thanks for the cheerleading lol, LOVE it and need it !!! I did so well until I got to work and the girl I carpool with brought me in a container of fudge lol. Oh remember the skinny girl (Barb) I told you that said I would be the bears buffet and she would be the toothpick? Well, she and I are best buds now and we car pool together lol. Amazing how things work out. She really was just trying to be funny. Her and her bf who is also a good friend of mine and works at the mine too, came to Tennessee and ran around with us for a couple days. We had a great time. I still need to get those pics resized and uploaded

snowyleilani, welcome to the thread. You should be taking 5 cla and 2-4 borage oil caps depending on the actual gla %. you need 3400mg cla, and 500-1000mg gla a day. I dont know what intuative eating is so someone else will have to answer that for you

kim !!!! always good to see you gf . Yerba-Mate is a type of green tea. We have been drinking it for a few years now. Ambrosia is the name a their summer blend. Kinda fruity and delish !!! we order it from yerba-mate dot com. The brand is called Aviva. They have alot of different flavors and we buy it loose but it comes in bags too. I brew it in our coffee maker and keep it cold in the fridge and drink it hot. Its very healthy. I have several people at work who come by the crusher every night to get a cup lol, they said it gives them energy and they love it too. I need to call you this weekend and catch up. Maybe we can do Tumbleweed again real soon ??? I could use a big slab of their grilled tilapia again. I'm gearing up to re-start this combo too. Keep posting and let me know how your doing with it

Quick questions about CLA/GLA
I have been taking them for about 2 1/2 weeks and have seen a change in my belly fat.
So, is the key here to continue to take it? Will it continue to work? If so, how long?

I have noticed lately, I have been very tired and almost drunk feeling. Here is my vit/supp list

5mg Biotin (5,000 mcg)
1000 mg Vit C
5 Tonolin CLA tablets
4 GLA tablets
3 Tbsp Extra Virgin Coconut Oil


Could any of these be causing my tiredness?

Atkins Chick, welcome to the thread . I don't see anything that would cause you to be tired. If anything this combo has been known to give you more energy. There may be something else going on with you. The way the cla/gla works is, you take it as long as you want to continue losing weight and inches. Once you reach goal, as long as you stay on a clean eating plan, you can stop taking it without re-gain.

Thanks for responding. Actually, this past week, my neck and shoulders have felt like they have a cold in them....very achey and stiff. I think that is maybe why I have felt bad the last week or so. Not to mention it is TOM.


I feel much better today. My neck and shoulders do not feel sore.

Another question.... do you find that some people have complained that the CLA/GLA combo does NOTHING for them?

I really enjoy this thread. I have been reading it for over a month and I am glad it is here. Very informative!

There have been a few that it did nothing for. There are so many factors to consider like other meds they are on or health issues. It does seem to work better for those that have more to lose than those with just a few pounds. Some try it for a few days and when they don't see immediate results they quit, but you have to give it time to work. We didn't get this way overnight and its not going to go away that quick either lol. The research says it takes 3 months to see good results, but those, including me whe I was doing it right and on plan, started seeing good results in about 3 weeks. The before and progress pics really show the changes when you can't see them yourself, so its wise to take them for your own personal reference. Take front, side and back pics about the first of every month and compare them. This combo really defines your waist and its great for melting the back fat. I,m glad your feeling better .

Trish....I've been around, just not posting much. Been kind of depressed lately.

Here it is the first of November and I haven't sat in a treestand yet. It was 70 degrees today. Nice for hunting but not so good for hanging game. I had a mouse sneek into my bow case and knaw on my bowstring so I had to wait a couple weeks for a new bowstring to come in. It's on now and the bow is once again spiting arrows. Vacation starts on the 10 of this month and will be spent in the timber, I hope

26 more working days left in the year for me!

Oh I will! When I climb up in a treestand and strap myself in I forget about everything and just enjoy what the good Lord has made. The woods is a good place for a nap too!

Aw thanks.

I'm really vain but painfully shy about my image. You see my Avi? that's the most anybody ever sees of me online. I waffled for two hours about whether to post a photo of myself. (I was praying that people would quickly forget about it and only think of me as the little purple flower creature in my avi)
I'm so nervous about what people think of me. Halloween is one of my favorite holidays cause you can be and look like anything and people will accept you, even for a day.
