I've been busy as well but I wanted to see how everyone was doing. Welcome new comers!

Mikki....a size 3/4? Wow! I don't think I ever wore a size 4....even as a pre-teen!

Lucki....How are ya doing? I hope you are back in action with minimal pain! When you get a chance could you tell me how intuitive eating works? I'm thinking about trying it out. If you've already explained this before- apologies!

Good wishes to all!

Question about the combo

I read somewhere on the site that you are supposed to take the combo with milk or dairy products for maxium absorption? Does anyone do this? Is it ok if you take it with food only and not dairy?

If I don't take it with food,I get nauseated. I think that's why dairy was suggested, but food would be fine. Even with milk, it's not enough to keep the nausea away that's why I started taking it with meals throughout the day instead.

Hi everyone!

Metqa - Leotards stretch, so maybe you could get a medium and it would accommodate large hips, as well as shrink for a small top. I haven't worn a leotard in years though, but I used to buy a medium and it fit a large rump.

Thanks MMO2, that makes more sense than all the charts I kept finding. Now I hope to find one that costs less than $20

Mikki - WTG! I hope to dress up this Halloween. I have a costume from last year, but nobody seemed to appreciate it from behind the checkout counter.

My costume is this snug fitting red dress with huge white polka-dots and white trimming, I comes just up the chest line and cuts straight across, It has a matching short sleeve jacket. that with some oversized Yellow Crocks, a small red hat , worn with hairpins, with a huge yellow daisy poking out, Long sleeve black leotard and thick black tights, . . . White cotton gloves . . .
. . .
. . .
. . .
And a pair of Huge ROUND ears at 45 and 80 degrees . . . see where I'm going with this . . .
. . .
. . .
. . .
. . .
. . .
. . .
. . .
. . .
. . .
. . .
. . .
Classic Minnie Mouse

Only problems is I've , um [cough, cough] "grown" a little since last year and I need to shave off a few inches to make sure I can wear it comfortably. Wish me Luck!!!

Thanks, Chic!
OMG, Mikki, Guess What? I decided to try on the dress, to see "how far" I have to go , and it seems to fit just fine! Ha!

I thought it would be tighter. I remember being worried about fitting into it last year.
Oh well, It doesn't kill my motivation as much as it makes sure I keep up what I'm doing so I will still have wiggle room next week.

HI all!!! CHic i am doing very well thanks...i found last week that the pain all but subsided about midweek. i've been without pain meds since friday morning although i have a lot of discomfort at night. So i'm hangin' in there. I started cooking and cleaning yesterday so i am taking things as i can at the moment. Thanks for asking!!!! hope you all are doing well.

the intuitive eating is just more or less eating when you're hungry and stopping when you are full. Look up EFT on the internet....Gary Craig can explain it if you want to know about the tapping. But you don't have to tap to use the intuitive eating. Just eat when you're hungry and stop when you are not!!

Lucki...I'm really glad to hear you are doing better! Thanks for the quick explanation on IE. I figured it was something like that- retraining my eating habbits. It goes back to our childhood years of being taught to eat EVERYTHING off our plates. You know....I have done the tapping for stress and it worked REALLY GOOD!!!! I totally recommend it for anyone who has any negative feelings about something or is really stressed out. I haven't done it in awhile cuz it worked so good!

BF told me that in Korea, it is impolite to clean your plate. that you are supposed to leave some food on the plate, as if to say that the amount you were given were such an abundance that you were unable to finish it all. Quite different from the American Clean you Plate mentality, eh Chic!

I'm only taking half of what I should be taking with the CLA cause I keep forgetting to take it. Sometimes I eat elsewhere, so i'm only take 2 out of my four pills regularly. Sigh, Maybe I should take 2 with each meal just to be sure!

Mikki, Now that I've got a digital camera , I should be able to get a pic of myself. I can't wait!

Wow...thanks for sharing that. I learn new things everyday! Back when I was flying with the airlines, our company used to make us take diversity classes every so often. This was so we could learn about the differences of other cultures so as not to offend any of our customers that were not American. It's fascinating how different each culture can be!

Thanks Chic.....me too!! found out today that's its still a little sore but doing good. The intuitive eating also utilizes the method to count your chews. You're supposed to chew at least 50 times per bite....take a bite, put your fork down and chew. When you're done chewing you can pick up your fork again. Before you take another bite you gauge if you hungry enough to eat it. I hear ya about the clean your plate thing...i thought it was Italian household mentality. Guess it's become an American tradition?? Our rule in our house is you eat what you take. The kids end up leaving it anyway but at least it gets them to think about how much they are taking.

I just did something I never thought I'd ever do. . . I caught a spider and . . .
. . .
. . .
. . .
I released it . . .
. . .
. . .
. . .
. . .
in the house.

What was I THINKING!!!

Well, I don't have anything against them, and Usually if one is unlucky enough to get caught by me, I take it outside and release it in the bushes. But it's been so cold lately, and I was sure it would starve and die since it doesn't have web outside and most of the bugs have gone so it won't be prepared for winter . . .

and it's probably used to living behind my shelf. and it probably eats those pesky gnats, and it's not a brown recluse or a black widow, and it was kinda cute and hairy, and it doesn't jump or move really fast . . . and I felt mean for wanting to put it outside in the cold.

I gave it a stern talking to about coming too far out in the open, told it to get to work catching those vinegar gnats that are plaguing my Kombucha jar, and then dumped it back behind the shelf!

I feel so silly.

Well, I havent been there in a week but I go back tonight. Everytime the weather changes like in spring and fall, it makes it very unstable down there. There was several good sized fall-ins the last couple days I worked. Some equipment got damaged but luckily no one got hurt. I'm worried about my crusher being damaged from the guy that filled in for me. Hes really nice, but his reaction time is very slow and things can go bad very quickly is you dont react fast !!! When I was training him, a drill steel went through the crusher and split the conveyor belt in half . Hes already on probation from getting hurt and damaging equipment 5 times. He got his boot wet in some high PH water and it burned his foot so bad he lost his big toe. Hes very accident prone. They told him 1 more accident and he's fired . Hes not even allowed to drive any equipment, not even the tractors that we drive to get around down there.
