Things are going good! Thanks for asking. Although it's cold here, its def not as cold as where you are....Brrrrrrr is right. Gotta say tho, I enjoy the cold when i travel to the colder states.

Oh I forgot to say that your tree looks nice in your picture too. I know I said I was going to take a pic of my tree but the truth is.....all it has on it are lights. My boys for some reason feel they have to take them off and handle them like toys so I decided to not hang them until they are older and don't try to use them as baseballs!

chic, I have been through 3 layoffs so far and its going the same as it did then. They never got rid of a mucking crew before, so thats where they will get me. Talk is they are ending the night shift mucking crew and are only going to run rock on dayshift. The dayshift crusher operator has a better number than me so I can't bump him

ADLMA, what was wrong with your daughters kidneys? Are they ok now? Talk about a double wamma, woow, both at the same time !!! Her surgery is Thursday at 12pm

I think I have a black cloud over my head. We just got back from an auction with some friends, and he backed his truck up to the back of mine and after we unloaded his stuff into his truck, I thought he had pulled forward and I went to back up into my parking spot. I saw Tom waving at me and thought he was telling me to come on and next thing I know...BAM !! I ran into the back of my buddys truck. I feel terrible about it. Our truck is ok, but it dented his tailgait pretty good. This will be the first insurance claim I ever had thats my fault. Banging head against the wall !!!

Hey chic, i remember going to Big Bear, that was fun, I will be safe, i was born here in the rocky mountians, but i obviously am a flat lander, ( i came from cali) im a chicken when it comes to driving in this white stuff. People here think just cuz they have four wheel drive they can drive 90 mph on the snow and ice, LOL they are normally the ones in the ditch! My tundra has alot of saftey features, its a 6 speed auto, but i can manually shift it and i think that will help driving in this stuff only because i wont have to use my breaks that much..... have a great sunday!!!

Its Trevas 25th Birthday today, so we have to go get her an ice cream cake. Some rich dude is giving away a living room set (leather) because he bought a new set, so we are going to go get it for her apt. Shes going to go to her brothers gf's house today to get Hailey so we will have a party for her when she gets home. Shes sleeping off last nights outting with the girls now lol. Shes trying to get all her fun in before shes down for weeks after the surgery

I agree. People don't relize that 4 wheel wheel drive only means that you can get going, not stop. I won't even put my blazer in 4 wheel drive unless I really need it. It gives me a false sense of security. I don't worry about my driving on snow and ice because I think I am a good driver in those conditions. It's the other nuts out there driving that I worry about. Looks like you got a good bit of snow last night Mikki. Just put on your dress and step out side. The snow will melt! You give new meaning to the words global warming!

Morning Chic. How are things in sunny California today. These Christmas trees a beautiful. I should take a picture of our tree.

It's 59* right now with a strong South wind. At 2 pm the temp is supose to drop to around 20 real quick and then have a chance for frezzing rain. I need to go put the cars in the garage.

I'm feeling kind of on the sick side today. My stomach has been growling. Might be a touch of the flu. The rest of the family has had it so I guess it's my turn. I hope to fight it off. So far, so good. Anyway, I'm taking it easy today and not moving much.

Trish - They both had kidney reflux. Yes, exactly as it sounds. Their utters allowed urine from the bladder back up into the kidneys, creating HUGE scary infections and antibiotics every day of their lives. When was was 3 and the other 2, they did a deflux -- the oldest first. Good thing cuz the sleepy town meds made the youger one NUTS! She was still squalling when they escorted us to my car and told us to leave! LOL They are both great nowl. I know Teva will do great to. She will be shocked at how much better she feels once the pain is gone. My girls sure did! Happy Birthday Teva!!

Chic - I know all about the decoration thing! My youngest has redone the tree several times over! It is driving my A-Type personality past nuts! LOL!

Mikki - Thanks for the snow photos! I'm with Metqa, it is only cold enough here to force ya into a coat, but not enough for the fun stuff!

Good morning LC friends!

It's raining, its pouring, the old man is snoring! That means snow in the local mountains, yay............My kids got to see the snow last winter but they were sick so they really couldn't play in it for long. Time to pull out the ski jackets from storage. I would love to get back into snow boarding again this winter but it would be an added expense to everything else right now.
Turning things to the positive- I'll be happy if we are able to take a drive up and go tire sledding down some hills with my boys!

I've been kinda bummed out so havent felt much like posting. Trevas surgery is coming up this Thursday so I will be at the hospital for most of 2 days. They are going to release her Friday around 7pm. He said she will be in "alot" of pain, but he doesnt want her to take any meds, just extra strength tylenol. Shes going to be on a liquid diet until her bowels are working right again. I am so worried about this surgery. He said it was very serious, but she has to have it or lose the kidney.

On top of that, the rumors are flying at work about a big lay-off the first of the year. Although I have nearly 16 years at the mine, and about 100 people under me, I will be one of the first to go because of all my restrictions with my neck injury. So much for seniority. I've been stess eating big time and am up to an all time high of 215.8. Never thought I would see the day I gained that much. Even my 18 jeans are too tight. I'm so bummed

Don't you know it! Today was over cast and kinda warm, but i had to work. My "garden" is a holy rotting mess, but I can't make myself go out in the cold. And today I had a raging headache and muscle pains from exercising two days ago So I took a nap instead of being productive.
If it would either stay warm and wet or get cold and dry I can deal with it, but wet and cold sucks!

My landlord is a jerk, but I may put some winter cabbages out to keep it looking nice. Then in the spring "NO GARDENS" so I wonder what the losers are gonna do with the empty space that I bothered to keep nice looking for three years while they couldn't be bothered to even put down landscape mulch for all the weeds...

BIG RANT! Sorry.
